  • Nicole Marie Beecroft

    Nicole Marie BeecroftSomeone’s a snitch.

On the 10th of April, 2007, an anonymous caller notified the St. Paul police that a woman had thrown a stillborn baby into a garbage can.

As you can imagine, there were some questions that the police had for the caller, who readily supplied the woman’s name (Nicole Marie Beecroft), how old she was (17) and where she worked (Cub Foods).

The police, following this interesting tip, contacted the manager of the Cub Foods, who related that Nicole Beecroft did, in fact work there and that she had called in sick for the last two days.

Authorities went the next step, and at 8 in the evening, showed up at Nicole Beecroft’s home, where her mother, Kari Beecroft, answered the door.

Kari Beecroft, who was rather surprised that officers were at her door asking about her daughter and a baby, told the police that Nicole wasn’t pregnant, that she didn’t know anything about a baby, and yes, you two fine officers may absolutely look through the house.

The officers searched Nicole’s room and found a box of adult diapers, which her mother reported that Nicole had claimed to have been using for heavy menstrual bleeding.

    Interesting.

Officers questioned Nicole Beecroft, who had an interesting story.

Nicole explained that she had woken up at about 3 in the morning on the 9th of April, 2007 because something felt wrong. She told officers that when she woke up, that she had gone into the basement laundry room, had put one of the towels on the floor before laying down, and gave birth.

    Awesome!

Nicole Beecroft told officers that the baby had been stillborn, but that she had cuddled it for about 15 minutes before throwing it into a trashcan outside. Nicole’s pregnancy wasn’t obvious to her family because she had a history of problems with her weight.

Nicole was sent to the hospital, and police looked into the trash cans after she had left the house, looking for the baby’s body.

    Well, they found it.

Along with a bunch of bloody towels and a knife with a black handle.

When asked about why the baby’s body had been so mutilated, Nicole Marie Beecroft told officers that she had panicked when she saw the baby’s finger move.

So she had stabbed it a few times.

That was enough to arrest Nicole Marie Beecroft, which officers pretty much did immediately.

An autopsy was done on the infant’s body, which revealed that the little tiny baby girl had been born alive, but had quickly bled to death from 135 stabs to the chest, probably with that black-handled knife that Nicole had put into the trash.

Nicole Marie Beecroft faces a possible life sentence for killing her baby.

    Update:

Attorneys for Nicole Marie Beecroft, who has been charged with stabbing her newborn daughter to death failed to get a judge to consider dismissing a premeditated-murder indictment against the now 18-year-old.

Public defender Christine Funk argued that a prosecutor presented misleading testimony and ignored evidence that led to an improper first-degree murder indictment. Christine Funk said that she wanted to present new evidence on “the nature of the stab wounds,” explaining later that she wanted to challenge autopsy findings supporting the premeditated-murder charge.

But Washington County Judge Mary Hannon denied Funk’s motion that the judge hear new testimony from a medical expert who disputes that the killing was premeditated. Judge Hannon found that the prosecutor did nothing improper in presenting evidence to the grand jury.

Nonetheless, Funk and her co-counsel, Luke Stellphlug, said they’ll press on with that argument when Beecroft’s trial commences in November.

The defense has asked Dr. Susan Roe, an assistant Dakota County coroner, to review the Ramsey County medical examiner’s autopsy report. The attorneys say Dr. Roe disputes the argument that the slaying was premeditated.

Funk said some neonaticide research on teenage girls who hide their pregnancy and deliver alone, as Nichole Marie Beecroft did, indicates that they are not capable of premeditated killing.

Please look up some facts on abortion and stop using blatant inaccurate fear tactics to try and freak people out. Go stand outside of Planned Parenthood already and get your rocks off.

Just so you know, full term abortions are no longer done. It’s considered inhumane! I don’t agree with any kind of abortion but the idiot could have drove to the hospital, which I know is only 10 minutes away because I lived by here, and dropped the baby off, no questions asked. I do wish death upon anybody, but I do hope she lives a long, miserable life in jail and then rots in hell!
