Shaun A. Lockett and Lashawn S. Brown
After Brown, a relative and paid caregiver, severely burned Mr. Lockett’s 10-year-old daughter in a hot bath, the girl wasn’t given medical treatment for over a week.
The victim, Quiniece Lockett, was blind, partially paralyzed and suffered from cerebral palsy.
Burned by the water on the 21st of April, 2007, she lay in her bed for nine days, without medical care.
The girl lay there, in agony, with burns on almost half of her body.
Police Chief Charles Kellar told the press:
If you’d see the photos and the condition that she was left in – just to lay in that bed with all those burns. I mean, it was horrible. Apparently the water had to be extremely, extremely hot. We’re looking into, right now, whether the water heater could have heated the water that hot or whether there was hot water added.
Brown and Lockett claim they took the girl to the hospital, but the hospital has no record of such an event – adding that the girl’s burns would have required an immediate admission into their burn center.
Lockett was arrested on the first day of his new job.
Police found some marijuana on him. Surprise surprise.

Father was convicted in the killing of his disabled daughter. He plead guilty to third-degree murder. He faces 20-40 years in prison.

Good work once again Mellisa. Actually, Shaun Lockett was sentenced on July 21st, 2008 to 7 to 14 years in state prison.
I also found a mention of Lashawn Browns fate in the same story – He pled to 3rd Degree Murder and also got 7 to 14 years in prison.

Hm, I thought this site was here to allow us to vent our outrage about the terrible things these awful people do. And To add “He had pot on him, surprise surprise” suggests that anyone who smokes would be willing to do these terrible, unthinkable things. I do not appreciate being put in the same category as this this ass hole. That was all i was saying. No reason to attack me Ashe. I didnt think that was what this site was about, and I have decided not to read or comment anything any more. Apparently, the people who read this site are looking for anyone to hate, and not just the people who deserve it.
Oh please. You were far less concerned with “venting your outrage” than you were with getting all indignant at the possibility that you were being judged for smoking pot. Which may want to consider quitting since you have apparently smoked yourself too stupid to recognize that Ashe was agreeing with you rather than attacking you.
The thing of it is, while not everyone who smokes it is a child-murdering douche-bag like Lockett, pot is in fact a controlled substance. That he was in possession of it when he was arrested was only mentioned in order to put a fine point on the depth’s of the man’s stupidity. It was clearly not meant to be an indictment of those who smoke the stuff.
So yeah, you can relax. Nobody thinks that you’re a shit-stain on the underwear of humanity because you smoke pot.
