Tramont Murray decided on April 6, 2006 that it would be a good idea to pick up a mentally ill 14-year-old girl in a field in New Haven, Connecticut. He persuaded a stranger to buy some gin for him, so he could get her drunk. Then he and several of his friends took the teen to a Super 8 and sexually assaulted her.
Tramont Murray pled guilty to one count of second-degree sexual assault and one count of illegal sexual contact. He was sentenced to 3 1/2 years prison and 10 years of probation. He will have to register as a sex offender when he gets out.
