I'm pretty sure you're referring to F.Y.R.O.M or Republic of Macedonia which is the appropriate name for this country. Macedonia is a region of Greece and despite the last years of (F.Y.R.O.M./RoM's) continually effort to be renamed to Macedonia, it's still not recognized as Macedonia but Republic of Macedonia/F.Y.R.O.M. They used the 'we are christians and therefore good people' line... Nineteen months is a pathetic sentence, it makes me wonder if this has happened before and gone unpunished? Child abuse on any level should be dealt with severely regardless of the nationality or religious convictions of the perpetrator, neither of these excuses or any others are or ever will be valid!
