Former state representative and ex-Mayor of Waterbury, Connecticut.

Giordano will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
This is, of course, assuming that he ever gets out, as he was already serving a 37-year federal sentence and just had 18 more years added to his resume.

While investigating municipal corruption, the FBI discovered phone records and dirty pictures of Giordano with a prostitute named Guitana Jones, as well as with her 17 year old niece, and her daughters, aged 8 and 10. He was arrested on July 26, 2001 and, in March 2003, was convicted of 14 counts of using an interstate device, his cell phone, to arrange sexual contact with children. He was also convicted of violating the girls’ civil rights. He was sentenced to 37 years in prison.
During his time as mayor, he claimed to have balanced Waterbury’s budget, but prior to his arrest a state oversight board had to intervene as a result of chronic pension underfunding and unaffordable union contracts. Upon Giordano’s arrest in 2001, he was forced to step aside, leaving Alderman President (and current State-Senator) Sam Caligiuri as acting mayor.
It’s going to be a long stretch in prison for Mr. Giordano.

No, not so much. His wife was gorgeous though. The guy actually ran for a senate office around the time he was found out and arrested, which was really interesting. Incidentally, most of the state’s republicans didn’t vote for him either. I think he might have gotten about 11 percent of the vote? I remember voting libertarian instead.
He didn’t really bring religion into office, which is typical in most municipal settings. It’s not until the federal government gets involved that the bible really starts to thump.
Oh man, I remember this stuff happening. I’m from Middletown, CT, about 25 or 30 miles East of Waterbury. The hooker went down too, for selling the two little girls (her nieces I think) for Giordano to diddle. Yeah, Phil is about as sleazy a piece of shit as you’ll ever run across. I’m gonna dig up a picture of him to insert in the story so you can see just how much of a greasy slime ball he is.

Yes, the Democrats are MUCH better. Google “democratic sex offenders” and see what you can find. I’m sure you’ll find a few results. Now go to http://www.republicansexoffenders.com and take a look at the hundreds of republican serial killers, rapists and pedophiles. Republicans are much worse in this regard.
Since when does political affiliation have anything to do with how depraved a person is. Personally I think politics should be left at the door when we come here to discuss the scumbags that get written up here, but that’s just my opinion. I’m speaking in general terms here, I’m not singling out EOTE for criticism, although I believe what I’ve said applies to his comment, and hazzard2myself’s too.
