Natalie DeMola and Terry Bell
After her mother dragged her home from a outing at Carl’s Jr. with her boyfriend, Terry Bell, Natalie DeMola began plotting with him and his friend Christopher Long.
The plot? Kill her mother, rob her, and make it look like some random intruders did it.
So they did.
They might have gotten away with it, except DeMola ran a stop sign and hit a pick-up truck carrying an investigator with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
When DeMola returned to the scene of the accident without the two boys that were clearly seen by the investigator, and telling the cops that there was a robbery in progress at her house – that threw up a big red flag for the cops.
When police arrived at the house, they found Kim DeMola unconscious in a pool of her own blood.
She had tried to escape the house through the sliding glass door in the den as well as through the downstairs bathroom window, as evidenced by the bloody handprints she left behind as a pitiful reminder of her struggle to survive.
Kim DeMola never woke up.
She had been brutalized, savagely beaten, with the marks of her assailant all over her body. Her nose, jaw and ribs were broken. The skull fracture, caused by the lamp base being slammed onto her head, ultimately killed her.
Detectives working on the case discovered a series of e-mail and instant-messages between the teenagers and used them as evidence in the trial.
In the messages, Bell often referred to himself as a potential murderer and said he would do anything for DeMola, including “kill’n for you.”
He wasn’t lying.

What’s to know? She helped murder her mother, the woman who was trying to raise her correctly. And she did it over some guy? Her own words convicted her, so there’s no doubt about her guilt. What excuse can there possibly be for what she did?

that was my ex girlfriend, and before they killed her mom i went out to dinner with her, her mom and her dad. the following day i was told what happened through a phone call. i was over that damn house and now that i think about it i believe they were trying to set my ass up. that sucks because her mom was kool, strict, yet i know sheoved her daughter.

from what I understand, her mother did not want her honor student daughter who had so much potential dating her worthless boyfriend. That was the basis of the murder. My thoughts are this, kids who don’t want to follow their parents rules: (1) Get a job (2) Move out (3) Support yourself. Then, you can do whatever you please, until then, you have to abide by their rules.

whenever i read this story is makes me sick. you never know the full story but no ones fate should be decided at the hands of someone else. no one should die that way. i went to high school with both natalie and terry and when natalie went to my school before she transferred to cenntenial she was quiet and not very well liked and that is why she transferred to that school. her mom was strict but not to the extent of abuse. Terry was a lot of trouble prior to him moving to corona and attending cenntenial and her mom knew that and tried to keep her away from him. boys never paid natalie attention so she was not going to give up on the one boy that did pay her attention. terry knew that her family did well financially and that is the only reason why he was interested. i wonder if natalie looks back at how ridiculous this whole thing is and how horrible of a thing they all did. she will forever be involved in her mothers murder and that is disgusting. i hope that god can forgive them because me being a human being i cannot forgive. 17 years old and plotting a murder is beyond insane to me, like really you were that mad, like you went and chose a dude over your blood! effin insane
I know I totally agree with you Lola, I went to school with Natalie too, in fact we were friends because we lived in the exact same house model, just on opposite streets. I’ve met her mother so many times and this is just awful. Her family was well off, she was an extremely spoiled only child. She was not a horrible person when I knew her, she wasn’t approached by a lot of guys either. She was a year younger than those in her class… so I’m sure when Terry came along it was a complete boost in her self esteem… it’s just SO fkn crazy to still believe that this happened.
Nat and I meet in prison and i would never of believed there was any good in someone like her but there is and not to say what she did was right , how does a young girl get to this with out any adult, teacher or person not notice something was wrong. I don’t think that they way Natalie went about solving her problem was right, by any means. However, in high school, she talked a lot about how strict and mean her parents were. I didn’t know any better at the time, but it seems like she needed help on the home front. Rather than life in prison without parole…shouldn’t we be getting them counseling and trying to help them to be better functioning members of society? The IM’s and Emails should have served as a cry for help. And the first girls posts were right. The only person fit to judge Natalie or Terry’s actions are God. In the end we all know murder is wrong. So don’t do it and you wont have to worry about a page like this being put up about you.
