After her mother dragged her home from a outing at Carl’s Jr. with her boyfriend, Terry Bell, Natalie DeMola began plotting with him and his friend Christopher Long.
The plot? Kill her mother, rob her, and make it look like some random intruders did it.
So they did.
They might have gotten away with it, except DeMola ran a stop sign and hit a pick-up truck carrying an investigator with the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
When DeMola returned to the scene of the accident without the two boys that were clearly seen by the investigator, and telling the cops that there was a robbery in progress at her house - that threw up a big red flag for the cops.
When police arrived at the house, they found Kim DeMola unconscious in a pool of her own blood.
She had tried to escape the house through the sliding glass door in the den as well as through the downstairs bathroom window, as evidenced by the bloody handprints she left behind as a pitiful reminder of her struggle to survive.
Kim DeMola never woke up.
She had been brutalized, savagely beaten, with the marks of her assailant all over her body. Her nose, jaw and ribs were broken. The skull fracture, caused by the lamp base being slammed onto her head, ultimately killed her.
Detectives working on the case discovered a series of e-mail and instant-messages between the teenagers and used them as evidence in the trial.
In the messages, Bell often referred to himself as a potential murderer and said he would do anything for DeMola, including “kill’n for you.”
He wasn’t lying.
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Agh! How can someone do this to their own mom, someone who loved them and cared about them so much? Someone who gave birth to them and brought them up? It doesn’t make sense.
