As recently as the fall of 2009, the Canadian 'justice' system expressed concerns that Jasmine had trouble fully grasping the magnitude of her crimes. It's clear as day that she was the one who manipulated the older Steinke to do her bidding. I can't believe she will go on to lead a productive life, with a university degree by the time she is 21. As for Steinke, in a way I feel sorry for him. It's clear he had a rough life, family problems, never was accepted by his peers, and was easily manipulated into the plan that Jasmine had come up with. However, what he did was still evil, and he deserved the sentence he received. I can't say the same for Jasmine, as she feel little to no remorse over the deaths of her entire family, and like most sociopaths, will have no problem adjusting back into society. I heard it was their intention to make Jasmine look like the bad guy. I read somewhere that when they interviewed one of her close friends about her so they could write the book, they only wanted to hear the details that made her look bad. I heard they were even asking the friend about how many sexual partners Jas had. Like wtf? Idk, i heard they didnt even wanna hear the nice things about Jas.. and from what i heard she has ALOT of nice ways.
