Patrick Daniel Piceno
Patrick Daniel Piceno, a 21-year-old McDonald’s employee, didnt have a very good night at all.
His co-worker Nick had taken him out for a night of drinking and picking up women.
Unfortunately, in California, McDonald’s employees aren’t considered hot prospects by most females, so the pair’s drive for sexual satisfaction was unsatisfied at the end of the night when Patrick Piceno drove Nick home.
Patrick Piceno was still really, really horny though, so he drove to an adult bookstore and looked at all the videos – which just made him hornier, so he left the shop.
Of course his car was gone when he came out of the store, so he called police. They told him it had been towed.
So now, broke, drunk, horny and carless, Patrick Piceno had to walk home.
Patrick passed some prostitutes and thought about picking one up for a while, but he didn’t have any cash so that was out.
Then, at about 3:30 in the morning, he saw a woman, walking alone, who turned off the main sidewalk and went into an area concealed by dumpsters.
I’m sure his first thought was, “Jackpot!”
So this modern-day Don Juan followed her.
What happened next I’ll give to you in his own words.
I followed her in there, and I, uh, she turned around, and I punched her in the head and face maybe three or four times and knocked her out. I saw blood, and it scared me.
The woman that Patrick Piceno hit fell down, unconscious, right in the middle of some garbage. Flies were flitting around, there was a disgusting stench from the dumpsters that were inches away – this was quite the erotic spot.
Later, after the woman was seen by doctors who held her in intensive care for eight days, they claimed that her face had the appearance of something put through a meat grinder and that because of her small size and advanced age, the beating Patrick Piceno had given her could easily have been fatal.
She had a rainbow of colors etched on her face – black, blue, purple and red. Her eyes were swollen shut. Her eardrum had been ruptured. Her vagina had been torn up. Three of her ribs were broken. Her brain was bleeding badly, and she had blood in her lungs, stomach and urine.
The blood and the garbage and the horrible smells didn’t deter Patrick Piceno from his mission, so he pulled off the 73-year-old grandmother’s shoes, pants and underwear and raped her.
Wait….what?
Oh yeah, Patrick Daniel Piceno had beaten up and raped a 73-year-old vietnamese grandmother who was out looking for recyclable cans. Then, when he was done, he left her for dead in the middle of a pile of garbage.
Two hours later, the woman was found by a garbage collector, who called police and paramedics.
Patrick Piceno was found guilty. He is scheduled to be sentenced in the middle of July and he faces a possible life sentence.
Jurors often have interesting ideas. One of the more interesting thoughts I found was shared by 65-year-old juror Sheri May who said, after the trial, “When he hit her and saw how old she was, he should have just stopped.”
Oh, right. Because if she was 20, it would have been OK if he’d kept hitting her.
Our legal system, folks.

Now 23-year-old Patrick Daniel Piceno was given consecutive sentences of 15 years to life and eight years in state prison by an Orange County Superior Court judge.

he admitted to it fool how is it a lie? The only part he contested was that he raped her, and he was caught because Police found his spooge inside the lady… so duh ofcourse its an elaborate hoax. oh ya it also didnt mention that his friend Nick who he dropped off earlier in the story actually turned him in to police in order to get a reduced sentence on some misdemeaner he had… you must be a tight group of friends.

I know what he did was very wrong! But for his so called friend Nick that wanted his girlfriend & his baby to beat him the same way & get off the hook by snitching is just as wrong! 2 wrongs don’t make a right! Nick stoled someone else’s life.

I still feel that mentaly he was not there when all this was done. He had always been a good person. His mental state had a lot to do with it along with a havy drug us.
I will always pray for his soul. God made us all and he is the only one who can judge him.

I find something bizarre about people who apparently are attracted to people like this, to the extent that they will go online to defend them. I also find something wrong with people who would not hate someone who enjoys raping grannies.

There is an oxy-moron happening here. It makes no sense to insist that only ‘god’ is allowed to judge, and then going on to say that everyone, no matter what evil they have done, will be forgiven.

Thank you GloryBug, for being the only sane person on here. Your comments are right on the mark. I am always amazed when people say no one has a right to judge but God. First of all, its hypocritical because they judge all the time, even judging us by saying not to judge. Secondly, I have EVERY right to judge a fucking convicted rapist who confessed.

speaking of judge and jury, I would have loved to be on THAT jury, as a matter of fact, I would have paid to be on the jury. This is just wrong… that poor woman:-( Whatever happened to going home and “spanking the monkey”? He definitley deserves hell.
Well I was Patrick’s friend for almost 8 years, best friend nearly 4 years. We skated together, we did almost everything together. But we didn’t do stuff like this. Patrick was considered a part of my family, there was always a gift for him under the tree at my house dring christmas. He even called my mother, “Mom”. We drifted apart after I graduated and left for the military, but I never thought he would do anything like this.
I know exactly which lady this was too. Patrick and I had seen her when we were younger and skated at Santiago High together. She collected the cans out of the dumpsters near the autoshop. I can’t say how disappointing it was to find out that he had done such a brutal and disturbing thing.
Yeah, I’ll go ahead and say he was a good person when we were younger. Rough around the edges, but a good kid. As a twenty year old man…pretty fucked up. Last time I saw him, I was asking him to leave my mom’s house when I was visiting on leave. He was drunk and started trying to tell me that I was wasting my life in the army and that it would never do anything for me…drunken ramble…etc. etc. Disappointing.
Pat messed up during his freshmen year and ended up getting sent to a continuation school. We still skated pretty much everyday together. I can’t tell you how many times I told him to get back in normal school with me. Most of you see this as a brutal act and think that he was just a bad apple from the begginning. I was there the moment it started though. Stopped going to normal school, hung out with the dumb shits from continuation school, then it was all down hill. I didn’t know he was working at Mcdonald’s, but it doesn’t surprise me one bit.
I found this website tonight just by typing in his name on yahoo. I wanted to see how much time he got, since all I heard was rumor. He’s lucky that they gave him consecutive sentences in my opinion.
He needs to do a lot or “right things” for the rest of his life.
I don’t think any of you who commented above will argue anything I’ve said.

I think most of us understand that most of the sickos out there used to have some potential to be decent humans. In some cases it’s substance abuse that breaks them and in other cases it’s internal demons – maybe from neglect or abuse as a child – that kills their good side and lets the evil come to the surface. And a very few seem to just be “born bad.
I read something wise not too long ago (it may actually have been on PYSIH) – that we don’t get credit for the things we are SUPPOSED to do, and that is so true. If your former friend had gotten a diploma, if he hadn’t assaulted and raped that poor woman, if.. if.. if… no one would tell him how wonderful he was – but we certainly will talk about how horrible he was for what he did. That is similar to the definition of “character” – how we act when no one else is watching.
I appreciate the fact that you didn’t try to tell us how great he was, and shared how disgusted you are with him. Since we don’t usually get credit for the things we are “supposed” to do, I am going to break the tradition and give YOU credit for doing the right thing. Take care.
This sicko guy didn’t just snap. He and his family have a long history of beligerant and insulting behavior. Their egos are huge and morals low. They have good intelligence and can learn, but won’t. They use their smarts to manipulate. They have little respect for others and are users and takers. They break moral rules, break laws, are sneaky liars, are loners, and show very little interest in ever changing because they think their way is right. In fact, they show disdain for law abiding people. Drugs, alchohol, cigarettes, sex are their amusement and they introduce that to anyone who will listen, including pre-teens! If anyone cares to investigate further, you’ll find alot of bad behavior in him and his family for several generations. No excuses for this guy. Everyone can be nice on the surface for a while. Look inside with interest to see the real truth. Don’t let your good heart fool you. They are bad ass and should all be investigated to this day.
I’m not a religious person at all but what bothers me is people saying god will forgive them for their sins. I’m pretty sure that the ten commandments have rules against this. And supposedly the ten commandments were from god himself right that’s the story? How can they be forgiven for breaking god’s rules. It’s so stupid.
You have to wonder if this would have happened if prostitution was legal and this guy had simply gone to a brothel and got laid in the beginning of the night…
It says in the story that he didn’t have money for a prostitute. Considering the extreme amount of violent force he used on this lady, he probably would have beat up a prostitute too.

While she was picking through the garbage looking for recylables in the middle of the night her good for nothing husband was sleeping in his nice and cozy bed! What kind of lazy motherfucking dogshit husband do that? I think he deserves to go to hell too. Isn’t sloth a sin?
I wonder what the little old lady was doing out alone at that hour at all. She should have been home safe and sound in her bed, too. I know that people should be able to roam around at any hour and not worry about animals like Piceno attacking them… but the sad reality is that’s not the case. I hope she recovered as best she could.
