Jimmy Maketta

One of 15 children, Jimmy Maketta left home at an early age, living on the streets, committing the usual crimes.

Somewhere along the line, he got “Jesus” tattooed on his upper lip, which was rather distinctive to his many victims.

Between March of 1996 and December of 1999, Mr. Maketta raped and murdered, seemingly at will.

Jimmy Maketta’s antics scared the living bejeezus out of several small South African towns. Households were so scared that their family members would be the next victims that they started sleeping four families to a building.

Jimmy Maketta stalked his potential victims like a panther, sitting on a hill with a good view of the local farms and watching who left with whom and who was going to get drunk. Waiting until dark, he would break into houses and rape and kill.

Leaving his cell phone at one of the crime scenes led to his capture. Several letters he had written to his family detailing his crimes led to his confession of many murders and rapes that the police were unaware of.

Mr. Maketta was finally convicted of 16 counts of murder and 19 counts of rape.

After 25 years, when Mr. Jimmy Maketta is in his late 60’s, he can appear before a judge who will then decide whether or not to let him out.

Robert Cameron Houston

In October of 2003, when he was 14, Robert Cameron Houston went into the room of a girl who was staying at the same group home.

Robert Houston put his hand over her mouth and showed her a knife that he had taken from the kitchen. Leading her into the living room, he forced her to remove her clothes, fondled her and tried to rape her. He couldn’t do it, but he gave it the ol’ college try. When he was done, he told her that he would kill her if she told anyone.

Robert Houston got detention after she told someone.

In 2004, Robert tried to rape his aunt, who screamed and woke up the rest of the house.

It really was just a matter of time until he graduated to something worse.

In February of 2006, Robert Houston was driven to his independent living home by a group home worker – Raechale Elton. There was a foot of snow on the ground and she didn’t want him to have to walk the whole way. By driving him to his house, alone, she violated the program policy and put herself into mortal danger.

Robert Houston later said that he had been thinking about raping Raechale Elton for a couple of weeks. This was his chance, and he took it.

When they set foot inside his home, he put his hand over her mouth and put the blade of a pocket knife he was carrying to her throat. He pulled her to the closest bedroom and raped her while she was screaming and crying.

When she wouldn’t stop, he got upset.

Robert Houston got so upset that he rammed the knife into Elton’s throat and dragged the blade from left to right.

When she continued to scream and yell, he stabbed her six times.

That wasn’t enough, so Robert Houston tried to break Raechale Elton’s neck by planting a foot on her back, grabbing her hair and yanking her head back. He also grabbed her head and gave it a violent twist.

Finally, after giving up on that, he reached his fingers into the neck wound and just tried to pull out her throat.

Robert Houston was sentenced to life in prison without parole. Robert Cameron Houston was ineligible for the death penalty because he was only 17 at the time.

Bobby Cutts Jr.

Did Bobby Cutts Jr. do it or didn’t he?

Bobby Cutts Jr. was the boyfriend of 26-year-old Jessie Davis, who is rather famous for being pregnant and disappearing sometime on or after June 13th – which was the last date she had been seen, talking to her mother on the phone.

Jessie Davis’ body was found in Summit County at 3:30 PM on Saturday the 23rd of June.

On July 3rd, she was due to deliver a baby girl.

It never happened.

Bobby Cutts Jr. was taken into custody Saturday afternoon by the Stark County Sheriff’s Department and has been charged with the murder of Jessie Davis and her unborn baby.

Two counts of murder.

Cutts has said he and his wife are separated and that she knew about the affair and the baby with Davis.

On Wednesday, June 27th, Bobby Cutt’s wife, Kelly R. Cutts, filed for divorce and asked for a restraining order.

Nikki Giavasis, a model, ring girl, and Bobby Cutts’ baby’s momma, has come forward and said this about Cutts:

“In a relationship with him I was frightened many times where he would exert control physically. There were instances when he pinned me down and held me against my will.”

Cutts has told authorities that he did not kill Davis. Cutts says that he showed up at her house and found her lying on the ground, dying.

According to Canton Police Union Attorney Avery Friedman, Cutts version of the events goes as follows:

He went to the scene. He saw Jesse Davis. She reached for his trousers. Her eyes rolled back and she died. He panicked. He called a friend. The friend came over and assisted him in the removal of the body.

The friend’s name is Myisha Ferrell, a classmate of Cutts.

Myisha has been charged with obstruction of justice.

After police had found Jessie Davis’ body, they searched Myisha Ferrell’s home and found a number of bottles of bleach, a partial roll of duct tape and some garbage bags.

Police say the bleach stench in Davis’ home was a clue that suggested a crime scene had been cleaned up.

Dale Hutchings

Dale Hutchings, an ex-school crossing guard, is facing more than a thousand counts of sexual assault.

His charges include 305 counts of raping a child, 356 counts of aggravated indecent assault against a child under 13, and 356 counts of indecent assault against a child under 13.

All the victims were under 13.

The assaults took place between 1998 and 2007.

Police finally began investigating Dale Hutchings when an 11-year-old girl accused him of putting his hand down her pants while she made him breakfast at his house.

As police investigated Mr. Dale Hutchings, other local children came forward and gave their accounts of abuse at his hands.

One girl, now 18, told police that she had been molested more than 300 times by him when she was between the age of 12 and 15.

A search of his home found homemade videos of some of the abuse.

Yes, Gou.

All I have to work with – I know this guy lives in China, his last name is Gou, he’s in his 50’s, and he’s a partner in a motorcycle taxi business.

He tricked the 15-year-old daughter of his partner into coming into a local mine with him.

Once her had her all alone, he raped her and beat her into unconsciousness.

After she was face-down on the ground, he piled stones onto her and left her to die.

Police found her six days later. She told them that in order to survive, she had to lick rain water that flowed down into the mine well and close enough to her face.

“Her left eye could become blind … and the 21 wounds on her body are serious and could be life-threatening,” the Beijing News quoted doctors as saying.

I wonder what the Chinese version of Hell is like?

Candace Clark, Michael Sisk, Michaela Clerc and Felicia Mae Garlin

Candace Clark, Michael Sisk, Michaela Clerc and Felicia Mae Garlin all swept into a small rural town in Wisconsin during the month of February in 2007.

They brought with them Garlin’s mother, Tammie Garlin, a tortured-looking 11-year-old boy who happened to be her son, three other children (who belonged to Clark), and a kidnapped girl from Florida.

They also brought with them several warrants for their arrest.

Candace Clark was wanted in Florida for the kidnapping of her 2-year-old daughter from her foster parents, and in Kentucky for financial fraud.

Michael Sisk had a warrant out for his arrest in the state of Colorado, for skipping out on his work-release program.

Over the past year, the group had lived in Florida, Maine, Kentucky, Colorado and Tennessee. In all those states, they were making a living through financial fraud with a series of aliases.

They came to Wisconsin to see snow.

After paying cash for rent on a two-story house in town, they all settled down.

Kind of like the Brady Bunch.

If the Brady Bunch ever started slowly torturing Peter Brady to death.

Tammie Garlin’s 11-year-old son went through some pretty bad times. Before I detail some of the abuse, keep in mind his mother and sister participated in this abuse.

Candace Clark and Michael Sisk whipped the boy daily with belts and extension cords. The kid was beaten, kicked and strangled until his eyes closed and he passed out..

They fed him one meal a day. He was hungry all the time.

Felicia, Candace and Michael forced him to drink gallons of water until he was vomited it all up, then kick and beat the boy while he lay on the floor.

Tammie Garlin’s son would sometimes be hogtied with his hands tied behind his back and tied to another rope which tied his feet together.

He was usually then put into a bathtub by Candace Clark and Michael Sisk and then scalding hot water was turned on.

Everyone participating in the scalding would threaten to drown him if he got out.

Sometimes water would be heated up in a pan on the stove and then he’d be chased through the house until they could throw the scalding water on him.

His sister, Felicia Garlin, thought that was particularly funny and laughed a lot whenever it happened.

The boy told investigators that these burning incidents happened more than ten times.

Pliers were found. They had been applied to the kid’s genitals which were then twisted.

Every night the boy slept naked, without blankets, in his sister’s closet.

And then the lesbian break-up happened.

Damn those lesbian break-ups.

Tammie Garlin and Michaela Clerc were lovers at one point, but had a falling out and broke up, which led Michaela to believe Tammie had cheated on her.

The whole group turned on Tammie Garlin and they started to torture her along with her son.

She began to get the scaldings, to be locked in the closet.

On June 4th, hours after a particularly savage beating, Tammie Garlin still felt sick. Felicia Garlin and Michaela Clerc dragged her into a bathroom, where Clerc slammed her head against the floor on her way out.

Annoyed with her moaning and crying, Michael Sisk went into the bathroom with her and shut the door. He came out a few minutes later and told the others that Tammie Garlin was dead.

Michaela Clerc laughed.

The group figured that they had to get rid of the body before it started stinking up the place, so, after much thought, they buried her corpse in the backyard.

Incidentally, after all this was brought out into the open, their landlord came forward to say that Michael Sisk had approached him with an offer of planting a garden over the spot where Tammie Garlin’s body was later found. Michael Sisk apparently changed his mind later on and wanted to put in a patio.

The patio never got put in, because police had finally tracked the group down for the kidnapping of the little 2-year-old girl and arrested Candace Clark, Michaela Clerc and Felicia Garlin on June 14th. Michael Sisk was captured later at a bus stop in Milwaukee. He had a ticket to Kentucky and was only captured because the bus had been delayed.

After the police took the three women down to the station for interrogation purposes, Clerc revealed during her interview that there was still an 11-year-old boy locked in a closet.

Driving back to the house, police found the boy there, sitting on the floor with his knees pulled up to his chest. He was covered in cuts, burns and scars. His feet were so badly burned he couldn’t walk.

A local 7-year-old girl said she saw them wheel the boy out and was scared. “I seen blood coming out of his forehead,” she said.

Dr. Barbara L. Knox examined and interviewed the boy at a local hospital.

Her examination showed that he had burns over most of his body, including his scalp. He had significant injuries, both old and new that could only be caused by constant, serial beatings.

He was malnourished.

Specific injuries to the boy included:

  • a missing front upper tooth
  • several burn marks on his face and scalp
  • multiple burn and loop marks (from reported extension cord beatings) throughout his torso
  • burns on both his hands, which had caused mummification and significant contracture of some of the fingers
  • burnt and swollen arms
  • burn scars on his legs and knees
  • extensive burns on both feet

The boy’s final comment to Dr. Knox during the interview: “I don’t want to hurt no more.”

Thomas Toolan III

Thomas Toolan III, convicted of the stabbing murder of his ex-girlfriend, Elizabeth Lochtefeld, has a drinking problem.

Life in prison would mean this drinking problem of Toolan’s would be solved.

Try to look on the positive side, Mr. Thomas Toolan III.

No more convenient blackouts when you do something wrong.

No more getting fired from jobs like a Vice-President of Citibank.

After meeting on Labor Day back in 2004, Toolan and Lochtefeld had the kind of nice six-week romance that only the rich can really have. Everything was great until Toolan wanted to make Elizabeth Lochtefeld into Elizabeth Toolan.

She declined and broke up with him.

Evidently this didn’t sit so well with Thomas Toolan III, because after she declined the honor of being his wife, he kept her by force in his Manhattan Upper West Side apartment. He wouldn’t let her leave, because everyone knows, girls love being held hostage and it was just a matter of time before she capitulated.

She escaped later that night after he fell asleep.

Thomas Toolan, three days after breaking up with, tried to board a flight to her home in Nantucket while carrying a 10-inch knife.

Airline security declined to let him on the plane, asking inconvenient questions such as, “Why do you have a 10-inch knife?”

Thomas Toolan gave three different explanations, each failing to impress security personnel.

He finally just said, “Fuck it” and left.

If Mr. Toolan had left it at that, he would have been ok. And let me tell you, being a Vice-President of Citibank is pretty darned “ok.”

Unfortunately for Ms. Elizabeth Lochtefeld, Thomas Toolan III just came back to the airport the next day (this time without a 10-inch knife) and again bought a ticket to Nantucket.

Then, in a fit of criminal mastermindedness, he bought a new knife once he arrived.

Clever, clever man.

After the murder, Mr. Toolan left the island of Nantucket and was arrested in Rhode Island for drunk driving a few hours after Lochtefeld’s body was found, stabbed 23 times.

Lionell Rodriguez

Mr. Lionell Rodriguez died in Texas by lethal injection.

What did he do?

Nothing much, really.

He was a parolee, out for three weeks after serving less than five months on a seven-year sentence for burglary and cocaine possession.

While out driving with his cousin and a rifle, Rodriguez pulled up next to a dark Honda Accord driven by a young woman – Tracy Gee.

Well, it wasn’t right that his cousin had a car, and this woman had a car, and Lionell Rodriguez just had a gun.

So, logic dictated that Mr. Rodriguez level his rifle at Tracy Gee while they were at a stoplight and shoot her in the head, blowing the contents all over the interior of her car.

After that, he jumped out of his cousin’s car, pulled Tracy Gee’s body out of her Accord, and dumped it on the ground before he drove away.

When Lionell Rodriguez was arrested in Tracy Gee’s car, several hours later, his pants were covered in her blood and her brain matter was stuck in his hair.

Lionell has had fun in prison, doing this and that.

He tried to set himself up as a speaker for those sentenced to die. “There’s a lot of good people on death row,” Rodriguez said. “If anything, they’re people like myself, who were just young and wild, did something reckless and wound up on death row.”

Hey, we were all young and wild, but none of my friends ever had someone else’s brain matter in their hair.

Rodriguez doesn’t think that people on death row for shooting people in cold blood, stealing their car, and sitting in their blood and brains are that different from, say, interior designers.

“Doesn’t make us any more vicious than anyone else,” he said.

He organized a hunger strike at the turn of the milennium – sadly without the realization that nobody cares if murderers sentenced to die go hungry.

Lionell wants you to write him:

Hello my name is Lionell G. Rodriguez. I’m currently on death row in Texas and wish to meet anyone who would be interested in corresponding. I’ve been incarcerated for 9 years and I am 28 years of age. I’m from Rosenberg, Texas and I wish to share my life story with anyone who would like to hear it. I’m very honest and sincere. I know there’s plenty of people who have misconceptions about the death penalty and about life here on death row. Maybe what I have to say will help whatever misconceptions anyone may have of someone in my situation.

If you write right now, you might be able to get your letter to him before his body is cold.

Mr. Lionell is dead now.

“You have every right to hate me. You have every right to want to see this. To you and my family, you all don’t deserve to see this,” Rodriguez told the relatives of Tracy Gee, as he looked directly at them as they watched through a window nearby.

He said he did not write them a letter to apologize because he wanted to do it “face-to-face.”

“It is the right thing to do. None of this should have happened. I’ve got a good family just like you’re a good family,” he continued.

Rodriguez said he hoped that Gee’s family could put aside any bitterness because of what he did.

“I’m responsible. I’m responsible,” he repeated. “I’m sorry to you all. This should have never happened.”

He thanked his relatives who watched through another window, adding, “We’ll see each other again.”

Tricia Lozano

Tricia Lozano is yet another mother that killed her child

Consuela Lozano Lopez was found dead after her mother called 911 to report the lack of breath coming from the 3-year-old girl.

When authorities arrived, they noticed something was odd.

What could it be?

What could it be?

Could it be that she weighed 12 pounds?

Twelve pounds is less than half the weight of a normal three-year-old.

Polk County Medical Examiner Gregory Schmunk ruled that the girl died of malnutrition simply because her mother was not giving her enough food.

Consuela was the surviving half of a pair of twins born prematurely to Tricia Lozano.

Tricia’s other two children, a four-year-old and a five-year-old, appeared to be fed properly.

So this little girl, who loves her mommy, died a slow, painful death while watching her mother go about her normal routine, feeding her older siblings.

Hoping for a crumb or a bottle.

Then she finally, mercifully, died.

Late update for you, Tricia Lozano has pled no contest in return for prosecutors reducing the charge to second-degree murder and neglect of a dependant person.

Her sentencing date has been set for August 8th and she faces up to 50 years in prison for the second-degree murder and 10 years for the neglect.

Vitaliy Krasnoperov

A friend of Iftekhar Murtaza, a fellow that PYSIH.com has already written about.

Apparently Mr. Vitaliy Krasnoperov assisted Mr. Murtaza in the attempted wiping out of the family of his ex-girlfriend Shayona Dhanak.

Mr. Murtaza asked for Mr. Krasnoperov’s murderous help because he was angry at Dhanak’s devoutly Hindu parents and sister after they pushed her to end their three-year relationship because they did not want her dating a Muslim.

The religion of peace strikes again!

Melissa Hossain, a 21-year-old fashion design student who says she has known Murtaza for three years said:

They dressed alike. They both had the same kind of hairstyle. Krasnoperov was like a white version of Iftekhar Murtaza. They ended up being really close. They would party all the time together.

Vitaliy Krasnoperov was arrested on June 14th at about three in the afternoon in Mesa, Arizona. Police in Anaheim, California had interviewed him and told him not to leave the area, an order he ignored.

He has, so far, been charged with being a fugitive from justice.

Vitaliy Krasnperov’s mother, Tatyana claimed her son was innocent, saying, “You will all find out later.”

Iftekhar Murtaza was arrested on May 26 at Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport trying to board a plane to Bangladesh with a one-way ticket.

His attorney said that Mr. Murtaza was planning to visit his ailing grandmother.

Of course he was.

In Vitaliy Krasnoperov’s defense, several people have stepped up and claimed he is a “gentle boy” living with his mother and their cat. It has also been claimed that Vitaliy suffered a broken wrist while riding his motorcycle on May 12th.

Krasnoperov has claimed that while these murders were taking place in Anaheim Hills, he was on his couch at home, nursing his broken wrist.
