David Munis and Robin Munis’ relationship wasn’t doing so well.
In happier times, they were a couple that hunted together.
Lately, thing’s hadn’t been so hot. David felt Robin had been cheating on him.
Take them with a grain of salt, but there have been some interesting internet postings by people who claim to have known the couple or dated David Munis in the past. One claimed that after she and David had broken up, he had left a dead coyote on her parent’s mailbox. Who knows?
Robin Munis had been singing for years, here and there. Many of her MySpace friends are in the country music business.
Robin Munis last logged into her MySpace account on July 13, 2007.
She was singing in an Old Chicago on July 14th.
As she sang, just as her 17-year-old daughter looked away, a bullet from a rifle shattered a front window and hit her in the head, killing her instantly.
A truck described to be David Munis’ sped away from the scene.
David Munis, a 36-year-old army-trained sniper, killed himself at a remote campsite with the same high-powered rifle that was used to take his Robin Munis out.
David Munis left behind a 5-year-old son that he had with Robin, and left her 19 and 17-year-old daughters and 13-year-old son from a previous relationship without a mother.

I am David Munis’s sister. You didn’t know David or Robin personally~that is quite evident in your self righteous remarks. You are in for a surprise, someday, when you see both David and Robin in Heaven (God knows the WHOLE story, and, sees things from all angles) it is apparent that you are clueless. You need to find something better to do than try to be the website “judge and jury” who determines who goes to Heaven or Hell…only God will determine those things. God has commanded us to “Judge not, lest we be not judged”…God help you.

Now Mulch, the dead coyote was a sign of his affection. He was protecting the property and displaying his skill at getting rid of dangerous critters. Much like a cat dropping a mouse at your doorstep.
Matter of fact, to back up this theory, he even shot himself after killing her.
To all the motherf***ers that say SSG David Munis was a coward and murderer, We believe that he was an honest and caring man. We both knew him on a personal and daily basis. He was our recruiter in the US Army. We belive that what he did was a selfish move but You cant look past what he did for our country and for us as recruits. He was an amazing teacher and mentor and still will be in heaven. Just because somebody makes a bad choice in life does not mean that they are a bad person. we know from personal experience. Everybod makes their own chaices. we loved SSG Munis not only as a fellow soldier but as a friend. He was great to work with and very friendly towards everybody!!!! HE WAS AND STILL IS AN AMERICAN HERO!!!! He was just an amazing person to be around. We learned a lot from spending time with him. Everybody that knew him on either a personal or professional relationship knows that he will be in their heart and minds for the rest of their lives. We believe that Munis was a great teacher, soldier, mentor and human being. he was a great man and the world could ask for no one better. What he did was wrong, yes, but he did as any Soldier would do when put under fire. Also act in a way that he felt was right. We all know that what he did was not right. But everybody has their own opinion and beliefs. What we believe is the right thing to do some others would believe is the wrong thing. All that knew hin on a personal or professional level will always love and remember him as the courageous Soldier that made a mistake in life and those that are true to him will forgive him for the choice he made and will keep him in their hearts and minds as the Soldier he was and will always be. SSG (2LT) David Munis was and always will be a reminder of a true soldier and what it takes to be a part of the U.S. Army!!!!!!!
If David Munis is everything a true soldier should be, I think I’ll become a pacifist.

As Jennifer said, the author of this article is very ignorant. For staters, this all took place in Wyoming. IT is IMPOSSIBLE for David to have left a dead coyote on the parents mailboxd considering they live on the other side of the country in Tennessee.
The bullet that took his life was not fired from a rifle. It is impossible for someone to shoot ones self in the location which the bullet struck, with a rifle. You have showed how inept you are once again by posting that.
I am a nephew and of David and I know each and everyone of the children and none of them feel any hate toward David, in fact all still love him.
Nobody except the family on both sides knows the majority of the story and not even we know all of it. Both shall be in heaven, neither were perfect but none of us are and as in the Lord’s Prayer “…forgive of our transgressions, as we forgive those who trespass against us.”
I am very disgusted, not only in this sites handling of this particular tragedy but, in the entire concept of this.
God will judge us all and only he has the right to do so.
Well the whole “coyote in the mailbox” thing was something another EX-GIRLFRIEND said happened to HER AND HER FAMILY. The author was just repeating what others have said. Now as far as the Coyote goes, unless your brother is a quadraplegic without any means of transportation what so ever (yes, riding on your miniature penis does count as a mode of transportation for you 2, we understand that bond created by dried out spunk…) Then it’s very easy to leave a coyote on a mailbox, unless it’s alive, then it’ll just keep jumping down and probably bite you for being stupid enough to put it on a mailbox….

I know its been a while since this story was posted, but I just found it. I was home on R&R from overseas when this occured. David Munis was no more of an “Army trained sniper” than I am, he was a designated marksman which consists of 1 week worth of training. Sniper School is five weeks long. Other than that, the story was very accurate as to the events. It should be noted that several days passed before he was found and shot himself.
EEK he was a marksman? Oh well I guess it was a lucky shot. Anyways with all the defending going on here, I have to point something out. Now I’m not much of a churchgoer, in fact you could say that I DONT GO AT ALL, but isn’t it said that Suicide is a mortal sin? And isn’t murder breaking one of the ten commandments? So if you kill yourself by blowing your brains out with a rifle (btw, if there are no autopsy pics, then how do we know that the shot was “impossible” somehow??), then you don’t have much time to “repent” before you meet your maker?
Obviously I’m not, but were I a divine being, I’d probably think twice about accepting a post-life forgiveness spiel by a murderer. Again, my opinion though, and we all know what they say about opinions. =D

And If Robin and the guy who loved her so much he killed her are in heaven together would that not mean it was his heaven and her hell?
And the family knows the real story-well then tell us what could be a good enough reason to kill her, come on, come up with something that justifies his actions..oh right-you can’t.
It kills me, on findagrave I exchanged an experience with another member who told me how she came across the grave of a father and infant daughter burried together. She researched it and it turned out that the father had murdered the baby and tried to murder the mother, too- yet here the damn family buries the baby and killer together, it just makes me sick. They should have let the county cremate the SOB and dumped the ashes in cow manure.
I bet it was dad’s family that wanted them buried together, poor dad did not know any better, people need to be more compassionate to what he was feeling, we all need to be more understanding.
Oh, the exchange was because I had discovered a mother buried with her three kids, the mother shot the kids and then herself, yet here she is buried with her children that she murdered, makes the stomach turn.
I see nothing outrageous here. I don’t think they went to hell. But not to heaven, either.
