  • Paul Hinkley

Paul Hinkley, a 69-year-old ex-Coast Guard sailor with three adult children, was the well-to-do founder of the JMJ Cross Enterprises engineering consulting business. If you click on that link, there’s a nice video that plays and shows you how family-oriented Mr. Hinkley is.

Mr. Paul Hinkley had also been online from January 2007 until July of 2007 chatting up what he thought was a woman named Sheryl, who lived in Colorado with an 11-year-old daughter named Cassie.

His online name was saltyoldsailor200269, and as you can imagine, the chatting was pretty hot and heavy between Sheryl, Cassie and Paul.

He was, in fact, expecting a threesome in real life.

    With this woman.

    And her daughter.

Paul Hinkley evidently thought this event was going to be very, very cool, as at one point he told Sheryl, “this is a glorious threesome I am looking forward to.”

    Riiiight.

Obviously, Paul Hinkley doesn’t watch a lot of “To Catch A Predator.” and it never occurred to him that he wasn’t speaking to a mother who was into sado-masochistic threesome sex with her daughter.

Paul was actually talking to an undercover officer in the Canon City Police Department in Canon City, Colorado.

    Whoops.

Mr. Hinkley was arrested at the Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey, after he had used a credit card to reserve a hotel room for four nights.

Interestingly, Paul Hinkley had, in his possession at the time of his arrest, rope, an enema bottle, condoms and Viagra.

He freely admitted to FBI agents that he intended to have sex with the mother and daughter, that he believed the girl was 11 and that he planned to tie her up with rope.

Paul Hinkley was hit with charges of crossing state lines intending to engage in sexual activities with an underage girl, using the Internet to attempt to entice a minor to engage in sexual activities and with traveling in interstate commerce for sex with a minor.

If Paul Hinkley is convicted of all charges, he faces a minimum of 30 years and a maximum of life in prison.

If you really think about it though, how long is a life sentence, really, for a 69-year-old white-haired pedophile in prison with sado-masochistic tendencies?
