I prolly read too much crime news, but I remember this one. I think this young lady has some serious issues and the fact she would harbor a fugitive that would commit an act like this makes her a danger to public safety.
Maybe while she is in prison she will get some help with her self-esteem/co-dependency issues.

i think the only reason laura is in as deep as she is with this situation is because of a defense attorneys strategy to get his client as little time as possible. reasonable doubt anyone??
