23-year-old James “Twisted” Winquist and 25-year-old Eric “Killa” Snow are two white-supremacists who don’t play well with others.
The two met, appropriately enough, in prison, where they both joined the “Brotherhood of Blood” - an Aryan prison organization.
Eric Snow is the one with “Killa” tattooed on his neck. James Winquist has “Twisted” inked on his back.
The pair were close friends. They hung out in Winquist’s mother’s basement, dancing to white pride music underneath a Nazi flag.
Sometime in the later half of April, the two Nazis were wandering around Bare Cove Park in Hingham. As per usual, they were carrying baseball bats, in case they met any “inferior races” that needed a beatdown.
Eventually they came across an abandoned military ammunition bunker on the state wildlife preserve. Inside this munition bunker were two white homeless men - 47-year-old William Chrapan and 49-year-old David Lyons.
James and Eric had been there before. Earlier in the year, they had tossed a lit flare into the bunker, which had ignited the homeless guys’ tent.
This time they came for blood.
Setting upon the two older men, James and Eric beat the two homeless men to death with the baseball bats, for no other reason than sheer cruelty.
Once the two murderers had caught their breath, one of them produced a knife, which they used to cut a hand off one of their victims.
Their bloodlust sated, Eric and James walked from the bunker, leaving the bodies of the two homeless men on the ground to rot.
The bodies were found a few days later by someone walking by.
James Winquist and Eric Snow kept the hand as a trophy, carrying it around with them.
Eventually, at a party with some friends, they showed the hand to a group of people, pulling it out of an ice chest. and showing it off to their Aryan buddies at a party. During this party, Eric Snow and James Winquist told everyone what they had done, mocking the victims’ cries for help. They made gurgling sounds to demonstrate how their victims had sounded at the last.
Two years later, on the 31st of August, 2007, police arrested the pair.
James Winquist was walking along a street with his girlfriend, Erin McLaughlin, and their 7-month-old daughter, Aryana.
Eric Snow was sitting at home on his porch.
James Winquist’s mother, Lisa Winquist, has claimed her son is innocent of the murder. Of course she’s also said that he’s not a white supremacist either - he just likes having a bald head and SS tattoos.

my eric is no killer im so sick of people saying that i have known eric most of my life and i thank god for everyday that he has been in it, eric is such a sweetheart and i can bet my own life that he is no killer. he is loving, caring sweet,honest,dedicated,and honorable you are per judging my eric beacuse if you knew him and i mean really knew him then you would know for yourself that my eric is no killer, eric has a heart of gold and he truly wouldnt hurt a fly, he loves children, animals and people of all ages, eric loves everyone and would never take a life let alone two…..

there is no evedience of any kind yes they do have a human hand that was found near eric snows house but he was not in even in the state of ma when all this took place thats number one and number two is that even if he had been he is teddybear that wouldnt hurt a fly same with james they are both loving men and truly care about everyone, there is no DNA of any kind there are no finger print there are no blood stained clothing that was found anywhere near james or eric and they never found the so called murder weapon, also 3 days before the bodies were found a young man that we all pretty much know as the hingham nut job was boosting about how he killed two homeless men and put their dead bodies in an old bunker near his home but not before he removed one of the mens hands to keep as a trophy, this man is spiting distance from where the victims bodies were in fact found and this guy has a beef with eric beacuse eric had confronted him about stealing from james winquist that guy told eric that eric would be sorry for blaming him for the stolen belongings and that he would in fact get even with him then low and behold a human hand was found near eric snows family home but that hand was not found on the snows property how ever it was found near a telephone poll within walking distance from the snows home, even when you look at the little movie that was made on youtube that had been calling eric and james killers with the footage from court they said themselves that this will be a difficult case for the district attorneys office to try beacuse this case is so old, the truth of the matter is that hingham is a very political town and most of the people that live in hingham make campagin contributions and the local police just wanted to close this case so they made the choice to play the blame game with eric and james beacuse they have caused some trouble in the past and they just wanted to get them off the streets at whatever cost weather they were guilty or not did not matter to them at all, eric and james were set up bya young man that simply has an issue with eric snow and the police bought it hook line and sinker beacuse they wanted their jobs to be that much easyer. and as far as me lying for eric and james that would never happen and if i thought for even a moment that they could have done this i would not be defending them the way i am beacuse i am a big fan of never being violent and i like to solve my problems with words and i dont associate myself with people that are known for being in anyway violent but if you want more infomation on the man that did in fact kill those poor homeless men feel free to contact me at anytime day or night. all i want is for these charges to be dismissed and for eric and james to be returned back to the ones that love them and care about them.

i grew up with james winquist and he set my neibors lawn on fire in 2nd grade.. when he was 18 he gave me a ride to work in a stolen car while he was shooting heroin. i saw him at the quincy T when he stabbed that random black guy.I knew he would end up like this his family didn’t raise him right at all.ireember in first grade when he fixed the teachers vcr thats probably the only nice thing i ever saw him do………

I have a little knowledge of James Winquist. First off he is no angel. I am truly sorry for his daughter who will most likely grow up with out her father, but then again maybe her Mother will find someone who has real morals who will become a good influence on her child. I am aware it is hard not defend the man you love or for that matter, choose who your heart falls in love with. (If in fact your old enough to know what love is), but James is a sick young man and has been since I met him years ago, he started out in trouble as young as 9, he has been back and forth in the system and between parents at one point. He has displayed crutelty to animals (the first sign of a sick mind, lets all keep Ted Bundy & Jeffrey Dahmer in mind here), he began abusing drugs at a young age, huffing freon from ac units, and taking pills to hurt himself, he was taken out by ambulance from his Rhodes circle home. And although I am not to judge, whose opinion is it that he came from a good and loving home? He was raised by his Mother who had many different men in her life, although I don’t doubt she loved him (or loves him), she was no roll model, drugs booze and no parental guidance does not a good parent make! If I may add I believe his mother is in jail or will be soon for her fourth offense of drinking and driving, do you think getting behind the wheel of a car intoxicated not once (which most would say is an over sight) but four times, and that is just the times she was caught is a teaching tool of a good parent. Is this a stable home? I know his mother and I don’t doubt she has a great heart, but she has made poor choices and in retrospect it has trickled down on a kid who I feel has emotional and mental issues to beging with. Please let the law do their job, lest not forget two homelss men and I knew one of them from high school (he was harmless and a good natured kid then, and from what I know of him till his death he stayed an good person with alcohol problems, but he was never unkind) these two men have lost their lives because someone felt it necessary to become a taker of life for no other reason but to show off to make themselves look evil, and in this case who ever it was looks pretty damn evil in anyones eyes. It is now up to the law to prove what happened but lets not pretend there was no harm intended here or that the persons accused are good people. As far as Julie, I would like to hear who you think is responsible, I have seen names like David Courage and Mike (Mental) Alfano thrown in here. Please educate me on this. Julie, I don’t know who you are calling an idiot. But I just gave you some facts, I know James probably know more about his upbringing and his family memebers than you do. And just because your ex boyfriends brother killed his father that does not make you able to contridict the facts. As far as the boy who killed his father, how do we know what circumstances were involved? Maybe his father beat him and abused him sexually or possibly he saw his father hurt other family members. All these things can lead to a psychotic break in any normal person let alone someone who may have underlying issues. Lets go with this one, I lost a family memeber to a drug overdose, years of abusing it and it fianlly took its toll, was this person out killing people, or abusing harmless animals, no! That is the difference between someone who is addicted and someone who is just not capable of making good choices, never in all the years that this member was abusing did they ever hurt anyone, infact they were the opposite, well loved good hearted and would do anything for anyone. In the end they paid the ultimate price, they lost the one thing that God gave them, LIFE! and no one has the right to take Life from anyone, yes there are circumstances that are factored in when murder is committed, (as I said before, years of abuse by the person murdered, or mental problems such as a psychotic break). As far as James’s Mother goes, I did say he did not grow up in the best of homes, but again we all have to make choices in life, I grew up in poverty with an alcoholic parent, was abused when I was young, but I made good choices in life, I have a good home I do not take drugs I do not abuse alcohol (knowing the genitics of my parent predisposed me to become an alcoholic or to have the addicive gene of any kind.) My children are well taken care of have never been in trouble or used drugs, sure they have tried alcohol (90% of teenages do), but have never been in trouble with it or even attended parties where their peers would pressure them into drinking, all choices they made on their own. Lisa is a good person at heart. (I have nothing to back up the accusation made by Rick that she treated James badly, because I honestly never saw her treat him bad, if fact if anyone treated anyone bad it was James putting his mother through hell.)She has had a hard life, losing her dad, her friend Mark dying, his ex wife being murdered, and so much more, on top of problems with her son for years. I have known her to always try to help people out, did she make bad choices in life, yes, but she is not a monster. Nebraska Mom, I am guessing she meant her ex’s brother was concieved by a sperm donor. I have come to this conclusion because James’s father is known to him and lives out of state. Oh she definately played a roll in his life and like I said before although she is a good hearted person and I don’t ever remember her being mean to James or his brother, she was maybe to easy because it was much simplier to give into his whims than to deal with the dark side of him. And he was not always bad either, he had his moments too. It is just so hard for me to understand why people can’t see what he is capable of, and why people make these two out to be saints when just the mear thought of cutting off someones hand and showing it off at a party is horrific, nevermind killing the people first! We do live in a horrilbe world and if we don’t start taking back the old ways of parenting our children will be running amuck to the point that no one will have any morals or care what is done to them or the people who should be the most important ones in thier sad little lives! And Penny yes I see what your saying but you can do what feels good to you and not have it be some horriic act on another. I had asked some questions about people who have been thrown into the mix with the names of David Courage and Mike Alfano, she had commented on another page about them being part or souldy the ones who had something to do with the murder rather than those being held, and I want to know if she has any insight on this and what her reasons for thinking they did it or had info on the real story. I don’t know if her actions by repeatively voting has had her botted from the site. If you do still go on Julie or anyone else knows of these two names can you tell me wha they have to do with it?

Julie Hunt is an idiot. I didn’t know Eric but I grew up with James. He always tortured small animals and enjoyed it. He would break into houses and always loved flare guns. He was in psych wards and juvie from a young age and his piece of shit mom always defended him like he was an angel. He stole peoples bikes left and right and was just a ticking time bomb. I think his mom or dad molested him or something he was always a bad kid.

Some people THINK they know what the ‘right thing’ is to do, even though others will disagree with them. It makes them feel good.
Some people like to do things they ‘know are not right’ because it makes them feel good to feel bad, and punish themselves.
Some people like to do things they think are bad because it makes them feel good to do what they thing is bad.
Doing what is ‘right’ and doing what ‘feels good’ are not mutually exclusive. And tehy are pretty subjective terms usually only used by people who seem to think that they know what is really ‘right’ or not.

I cannot understand why any parent would willingly provide a place for their underaged son or daughter to have sex. And I don’t mean the kind where the kids sneak around. I mean the kind where they openly allow it. I don’t understand why that would not be a prosecutable offense.
If you openly allow your kids and their friends to do drugs, drink, and have sex at a residence you own, rent or live at, as a parent, it seems like you should legally be open to some kind of prosecution. Corruption of a minor, at the least?
Parents who try unsuccessfully to raise non-criminal children should be given some sympathy, but parents who have directly contributed to their children’s criminality should be responsible also, shouldn’t they?

She encouraged a 15 year old at the time to stay over and lied to the girls mother/father so James could have fun. the other kids were all 15 and 16 at the time, it was a cult setting with fear of death once you knew anything! Marie, you have no clue what your talking about. I have no intention of pointing the finger at anyone else. I believe James is quite capable of committing the crime he is being held for. For you information the reason I am so intrested in the other names is because someone I know has started hanging out with one of the others mentioned and for the sake of a young child I want to know more about this jerk. I did loose touch with Lisa, I stopped hanging around there when I realized there was too much liberties in her home. I have a child and I raised my child differently than she has hers. Mine is responsible does not drink or do any drugs. Mine doesnt even smoke ciggeretts! I said she was good hearted that does not mean she is a good mother or that I would trust her with my childs care. (I only meant she was always good to my child). I also said she made poor choices, and James was always a troubled kid. He down right scared me at times. I did not know of him shooting his uncle, was this Darryl your speaking of? I hope that he gets what is coming to him and as I said I read Lisa is spending 6 months in jail for her 4th DUI, I will say this though she has definately spiralled down since I hung around her, she did drink but the drugs were absent (at least in my presence since she knew how against them I am). But once I noticed her drinking was getting way out of hand I stopped going around there. I would appreciate it if you would not point the finger at me for something I have no intention of doing. I think it was a horrible thing he did, and I knew David Lyons personally, he was a good person who took to drinking because of medical issues, but he in no way deserved to be murdered, he would not have harmed a soul. Listen, Eric is a good kid. He has had alot of shit happen to him during childhood but he is not a killer! We all have different views on people in society and thats our right. As for myself, I fell that these two people that got killed were a plauge on our society and don’t lie to yourselves either because if anyone cared about these two that died then maybe they wouldn’t have been living on the street!. Two homeless men and all of a sudden their so called family is grieving the loss of them. BULLSHIT!. Where were the families when these two men were looking for shelter and food? The family didn’t give two shits about them until some traumatic happened to them. It’s amazing what death can do. it brings out all the people who put on a mask every day like nothing is wrong but yet when that mask comes off they feel that it’s no loss to them. So in closing if any of the family members of the two that were killed read this, I have this to say….You caused this so don’t cry.
