Torture In Logan County, West Virginia
Meet the “Logan Six.”
Since 1991, authorities in their area have filed over 100 criminal charges against these six individuals. 108, to be exact.
49-year-old Frankie Brewster, the beauty on the top center square and the owner of a beautiful mobile home in the town of Big Creek, leads the pack with 33 charges. In 1994, she was charged with first-degree murder for the shooting death of 84-year-old Polly Ferrell, the elderly mother of a man she was living with at the time.
That man happened to be the father of Frankie Brewster’s son, Bobby Ray Brewster, who was 12 at the time.

Frankie Brewster was able to cop a plea to manslaughter and wanton endangerment and only served five years. She got out in the year 2000, four years after Bobby Ray Brewster shot and killed his old man in 1996.
Bobby Ray served a short sentence due to his status as a 14-year-old juvenile.
The lovefest never stopped in Logan County. Right out of a page in the redneck handbook, Bobby Ray Brewster was arrested in March after his mom called the cops on him for attacking her with a machete. Bobby Brewster was charged with domestic assault, brandishing a deadly weapon and obstructing an officer. Those charges were dropped later.
The other four individuals in the picture, 20-year-old Danny Combs (top right), 46-year-old Karen Burton (bottom left), 22-year-old Alisha Burton (bottom center) and 27-year-old George Messer (bottom right) all hung out at the Brewster’s trailer-park palace, shunned by their neighbors.
Seriously folks, if you’re shunned by West Virginian trailer park residents, there’s something wrong with you.
In the early summer of 2007, 20-year-old Megan Williams, a young black woman with some “mental issues,†according to her mother, left Ohio to meet up in Logan, West Virginia, with a guy she had met on a phone dating service. While that didn’t pan out, she did have the good fortune to meet Bobby Ray Brewster and the good sense to start dating him.
It didn’t take long for that relationship to turn south, as Bobby Ray Brewster was hit on the 18th of July with domestic assault and domestic battery charges for slapping Megan Williams around the trailer that they shared with his mom.
When the police arrived at the house in response to the domestic violence call, Bobby Brewster told the troopers that he hadn’t seen Williams for a few days – but the police did find a sobbing Megan Williams behind the trailer in the trees. According to police reports, Megan Williams told the responding officers that she was hiding from both of the Brewsters and that she had just been hit a number of times right before the police had arrived.
Shortly after she was taken to safety, Megan Williams returned to the Brewster trailer.
She did this a number of times. They were her friends, after all.
They were her friends until one day…when they weren’t.
A week of Hell
It was a scene reminiscent of the work of Candace Clark, Michael Sisk, Michaela Clerc and Felicia Mae Garlin.
Megan Williams was tortured for about a week.
She was tied to a chair for most of that week. She was choked with a cable. Her hair was pulled out.
She was raped repeatedly, by both males and females. While she was being raped, hot water was poured over her. She had a knife to her throat while being forced to lick Frankie Brewster’s toes, vagina, and anal cavity.
They forced her to drink from a toilet. They forced her to eat rat and dog feces. They made her lick up blood.
One of the women involved stabbed Megan Williams in the leg with a knife and said, “That’s what we do to niggers around here.”
Rescue
Megan Williams was rescued on a Saturday, the 8th of September, 2007.
Authorities, responding to an anonymous tip, went to the trailer to check on the well-being of Megan, who the anonymous tipster had claimed was being held against her will.
When police showed up, Frankie Brewster was sitting on her front porch. The door was open behind her.
They asked her who else was there, and Frankie Brewster replied, as she stood up and went to the door, that she was alone – that nobody else was there.
That was when the police saw Megan Williams hobble towards the door, her arms outstretched and begging for help.
Frankie Brewster’s story was that she didn’t know how Williams had been repeatedly stabbed in the leg, or where she had gotten her bruises, cuts and black eyes. According to Brewster, Megan Williams had shown up on her doorstep looking like that.
Megan Williams was taken to the local hospital, where she was able to get surgery for her leg, but was still bedridden for many days.
Her mother, Carmen Williams, has told reporters that her daughter is mentally scarred from her experience:
She wakes up in the middle of the night screaming, ‘Mommy.’ What’s really bad is that we don’t know everything they did to her. She is crying all the time.
The Charges
Frankie Brewster has been charged with sexual assault, kidnapping, malicious wounding and giving false statements to an officer.
Bobby Brewster has been charged with kidnapping, sexual assault, malicious wounding and assault during the commission of a felony.
Danny Combs has been charged with sexual assault and malicious wounding.
George Messer has been charged with assault during the commission of a felony and battery.
Karen Burton has been charged with malicious wounding, battery and assault during the commission of a felony.
Karen Burton’s daughter, Alisha Burton, has been charged with assault during the commission of a felony and battery.
Each of the Logan Six were given a $100,000 bail and a one-way ticket to Hell.
Update:
Karen Burton and Frankie Brewster were sentenced for their roles in the kidnapping and assault of Megan Williams. Both pled guilty.
Brewster and Burton were among seven white Logan County residents who were charged in the Williams case.
Logan County Circuit Judge Roger Perry sentenced Karen Burton to three consecutive sentences. She received separate 2-10 year sentences for malicious assault and assault during the commission of a felony and 10 years for the civil rights charge.
Frankie Brewster received a 10-to-25-year sentence for second-degree sexual assault.
Karen Burton’s daughter, Alisha, and George Messer, both pled guilty in February to kidnapping and assault and received 10-year sentences.

Let’s see … Frankie was previously convicted of killing an elderly woman and got a plea bargain for manslaughter. Her son Bobby Ray is one of the defendants in this case, and he was convicted as a juvenile of killing his father or stepfather. There was apparently a later incident where he was chasing Frankie with a machete. Another of Frankie’s sons, Hallie, is in prison for sexually assaulting a 8 or 9-year-old girl. The others have also had legal problems of their own. Karen Burton, the mother of Alisha Burton, was apparently known for trying to purchase beer with food stamps at the local 7-11.
Why can’t a court order folks like these to be spayed and neutered? There seems to be a family pattern of violence and anti-social behavior, and there’s no good reason for them to breed.
What kind of woman wants her anal cavity licked? Sick, murdering women that breed sick, murdering children. Megan is one of the strongest women I have ever heard of after surviving such a nightmare. The Logan 6 should have a great time being raped in prison before being tortured in HELL.
I cannot believe that people would do this kind of thing to another human being! As my grandma said these people should be taken out back, hung from a noose, and shot full of holes because they don’t deserve anything that we can do to them here on earth, so let the devil deal with them.

This shit is just disgusting! I’m sorry but you have to think about the things that our society watches and is accustomed to seeing in our everyday media. Movies like Hostel and The Hills Have Eyes are perverse in this very nature. It just starts the beginning of disgusting torture and gore…etching into our subconcious. There is just something twisted about those movies that I just can’t bear to watch. I say that it bothers my soul to see such things. But maybe that is the difference between me and some homicidal maniac.

I’m from WV and I recently heard that a couple of them were sentenced. I also saw a picture of Megan and she looks so good now.
