Amber Hill
22-year-old Amber Hill’s life had been disintegrating for a while.
Amber’s relationship with the father of her children, Jamie Cintron, had been going downhill.
Amber couldn’t concentrate on anything, much less the classes she had been taking at the Cleveland branch of Remington College so that she could get certified as a medical assistant.
She had two little girls to take care of, and it was a lot of work.
So Amber Hill, on the first of October, 2007, drowned little 4-year-old Jannelle Cintron, and 2-year-old Cecess Hill in the bathtub in her apartment.
Amber Hill called her babies’ daddy up and let him know that she didn’t have to worry about the kids anymore – that they “were at peace.”
Jamie Cintron drove to the apartment, rushed inside and found the dead children in the bathtub.
He pulled the bodies out and called the police, who arrested Amber Hill for murder.
The family has had a troubled past. Jamie Cintron has been found guilty of domestic violence against Amber Hill before, in both 2004 and 2006.
Amber Hill was placed on suicide watch in jail, where she was held on a two-million-dollar bond.

I don’t believe in hell. I’m Buddhist. But, I will write this, she deserves whatever the criminal justice system dishes out to her. What I think about and brings tears to my eyes and my heart aches is what those 2 babies were thinking and feeling when they are being held under water to die by the one person that is supposed to love, cherish, and protect them. It is the biggest epitome of violation of trust that I can think of. I personally hope that they throw the book at her, giving her the max and getting her psychological help that she needs!

Please don’t judge this young lady. She was a victim of domestic violence, yet, she was trying to go to school to help herself. In cases like this one I don’t excuse the Father for not helping the woman go crazy. The fact is, we don’t know what type of hell this child was going through in her mind; they did say she was taking medication, and yes, she is still a child herself. Judge not, so that we will not be judged ourselves. I pray God’s forgiveness for her. Some of you have the same attitude as those who were for the salem witch trials.

I agree about wasting resources on suicide watch for this creature. Maybe quitting school or cutting back hours and ditching the abuser might have helped her to not kill her kids!

Sounds like this women needed some help. I don’t care if she had problems as a young adult or not. If she was having such problems then why did she have kids? Seriously, if you have such bad problems as a young adult, wait till you get help before you have children so you don’t take it out on them. For starters, I am root; I sit in judgement of people for at least 8 hours out of my day and secondly, it’s “DISGUST,” not “DIGUST.” This babykiller will spend eternity roasting over an open fire.

I wouldn’t condemn her out of hand when we only know the barest of facts.
As for the domestic abuse situation, by the time it reaches the physical/hitting stage, the woman is usually pretty mentally broken by her abuser and doesn’t know how to leave. My sister was in such a situation. She didn’t even tell us until after she got out. It’s lucky she did. The scary part is how well she hid it while it was happening. There is a lot of shame and fear involved. Many times, the victim of abuse is made to believe she is at fault.
I don’t understand killing one’s kids, but I do understand that mental illness causes people to do things they would never do under normal circumstances. Just like drunks do stupid stuff they wouldn’t do sober.

If she is the one who killed her girls, then I agree with the majority. I try not to make a judgment without knowing the facts. # 1- I have not heard her confess. #2- People do get framed in this world. All we know is what her ex says she said to him, and he’s the one who found them? If he really hadn’t been allowed around the mother and kids for that long it seems he would have called the police. I’m just asking if it is conceivable that the mother could do this to her children, why would it not be a possibility to think that the father could have done it to ruin the woman’s life? He’s the one who had the assaultive behavior in the past, and the mother seemed to be taking good care of them up to that point. I’m just saying I’d have to have certain facts before I could make a judgment in this or any case. From past experience I know things aren’t always what they seem. And if she is being framed, it doesn’t help having everyone throwing her into hell.

Amber was a cousin to one of my close friends. Amber wasnt crazy, & she deffinatly does not deserve to go to hell. No one will truly understand or most of us will never know what exactly happend that day. JJ & CC are in a better place, they were brought into this world by God for a reason, and for some or another God had decided he wanted to bring them home. Even though their bodies do not remain, their souls and their spirts will always surround us. They will be here with us everyday even though they are not seen. Young, yes i do understand it is not fair that there precious lifes were takin at such a young age, im sure that most of us want to go and ask a million questions. I do to. And i wish i could, but i cant, and all of you probably wont either. Amber was a extremely good mother and provided very well; i know most of you wont take the time to understand that judging by what she has done. And again im going to say we will never know why. Do not judge her by her action, you do not know Amber better then her own family.

First of all, the correct spelling is “Anonymous” not “Anonomyous.” Secondly, please see my post in the “Michael Gagnon” thread where I address this “judge not lest ye be judged” misconception. The Bible doesn’t tell us not to judge, it tells us to judge within the confines of the law of God. The scripture is very clear, judge the DEED not DOER, judge the SIN not the SINNER. So those of us on this site will continue to exercise our obligation to judge the deed. I believe that she will have a lot to answer for when she meets her maker.

What she did is awful but I don’t think she deserves to go to hell. OK well ok under God’s law she should but if truly repents and puts herself faith in Jesus’ then no matter what they decide for her fate she’s going to be fine. Very sad but those children are in a better place now too. No one knows what she was going through when it was happening. No one truly knows her frame of mind. Her punishment regardless of what the government sends down is going to be the knowledge that she killed her children. That must be a lot like hell having to go through that once she comes to her senses.

Using that theory, every single death row inmate would sit next to your God (since they know when the moment of death is coming and can beg for forgiveness) and the dear little old lady who gets hit by a bus unexpectedly would not be granted access, since she didn’t have the chance to repent whatever sins she had incurred before she was killed.

Repenting is NOT a “get out of hell free” card for every crime or sin – your God may “forgive” the sinner, but that does not mean that all is cool and the sinner is gonna be partying it up with the angels.

Yes Katie, if you repent God will forgive. But you have to TRUELY repent. No blaming your rotten childhood or post natal depression or being a crazy assed crack pot. True repentance means not making excuses. It also means that you will not continue to sin. And even then…we reap what we sow. So if ya go out and kill a baby or two, but then say, “jeeze God, i fucked up and im real sorry,” well God may just forgive you, but he wont wave his magic wand ( or whatever God waves) and make it so that you dont do any jail time or be the subject of hatred and derision. It just does not work that way.
And again i will say, the bible teaches us that ” Faith without works is dead.” So it does not matter how much you believe that God will forgive your sins, if you are not backing up that faith wth good works, then its all for nothing.
