  • Claire Lyte

Claire LyteIt seems that female pedophiles have been coming out of the woodwork lately.

Take 29-year-old Claire Lyte, for example. She’s a a former tennis coach at the Lawn Tennis Association academy in Loughborough, which is somewhere in England.

Evidently a good tennis coach, as she was named Young Coach of the Year back in 2001.

Well, now she’s facing five counts of sexual activity with a child.

The victim was 13, back in October of 2005, when she and Claire Lyte were getting it on at the girl’s house one night while the teen’s mother was out at a party.

This would be normal if Claire Lyte were, say, a boy between the ages of 13 and 15.

    For a 29-year-old woman…not so much.

The good times came to an end when the teen’s mother came home early from the party and discovered the two lovebirds having sex in the girl’s bedroom.

From the mother’s testimony at the trial:

I walked into the room and saw my daughter and Claire naked on the bed. I was in complete shock and I screamed and they became aware that I was there. My daughter jumped up and ran off and Claire pulled the bed sheet over her head. I was screaming at Claire, ‘Get out, what have you done, what have you done to my child, you are nothing but a paedophile’. They came downstairs dressed and my daughter sat down in a chair and curled into a ball, Claire sat with her head in her hands.

To be perfectly honest, this teenager’s mother wasn’t completely accurate when she called Claire Lyte a pedophile. The term for someone who is attracted to teenagers is “Ephebophile.” Not that this changes the wrongness of the activity, but I like to be accurate when I can and when I’m in the mood.

I’m not entirely sure about the girl’s honesty. She’s testified that Claire Lyte forced her into a sexual relationship with the threat of harming the teen’s tennis career and getting her kicked out of the academy. When the girl was questioned by the police back when the event happened, she said that the sex had just been a one-time thing

Another odd thing about this situation is that while Claire Lyte was given an official warning by the administration at the academy regarding her closeness to the young girl, she remained the girl’s coach and the two attended all sorts of tennis tournaments together for about a year after her mother caught them.

    Does Claire Lyte deserve Hell?

But im guessing that if it was a grown man having sex with a 13 year old girl…or boy for that matter, you would be screaming pedophile at the top of your lungs.
This is not funny. Its disgusting.

This whole situation seems VERY fishy. Either the whole story is a crock or that mother is just a disgusting nutcase who allowed a sexual predator unhindered access to her daughter for a full year KNOWING that something was going on.

She didn’t report the incident until a YEAR later. She didn’t even complain to the Lawn Tennis Association.

She’s either a liar or a terrible, terrible mother.

This comment is directed at what appears to be the majority of you who think it`s okay for a female adult to abuse a child. You are a bunch of sick, criminally dim shitheads. As a survivour of SEXUAL ABUSE i’m absolutely outraged that you people can condone or ignore this criminal act. In my opinion that devious cunt should get a life sentence. Hopefully some big , ugly inmate in the prison will give her a taste of her own medicine.

I totally agree with locking up sex offenders and throwing away the key, Winston. I just don’t think Claire Lyte actually commited the crime she got convicted of.

      The story ain’t straight.

Brittany- I tend to usually agree with you on a wide variety of topics…..

But this is one that’s a little trickier.

It does not matter in the slightest whether the girl was ‘lesbian’ or not. People usually don’t even have it figured out- what orientation- until a bit older.

The perp in this case just happens to be a woman. Just because she ended up somewhat successful in getting a teen girl in her bed is no different from what everyone would call a POS if it was a guy/girlchild. It is not so much about sexual orientation as it is about being in a position of power, and exploiting that with a child.

Just because some adult woman had sex with a female teen does not make that teen any more gay than the setup Steven Staynor had- was he gay because some loser perv/pedo kidnapped him and raped him over a period of years? He went on, after he was located, to marry and have children. And then he pretty much committed suicide years later.

Being the ‘kid who was kidnapped and raped for years’ probably was not good for his metal health. Given that he was being raped by a man for years, does this make him gay

      Oops, got cut off.

My point being that just because a perp may choose a same-sex child to kidnap/molest/kill says nothing about the sexuality of the child. It’s more about the sexuality of the perp.

Just because this coach was able to manipulate this teen into a same-sex sexual relationship does not mean she is gay. It is a predatory relationship, which is not exclusively a ’straight’ deal. If the girl cooperated for years regarding sex, it still does not mean that the girl was gay. It means that someone she looked up to and trusted exploited her.

She could have been straight, she could have been gay, she could have been bi. None of that would matter, because the manipulation/molestation by an adult with whatever sexual preference is the focus here. This victim’s sexuality has no bearing in this case…. was she even old enough to have become aware of what her sexual orientation was? I don’t think so.

Using some of this logic, it would be fair to say that every guy who whines their partner into anal sex is actually gay. Anal sex with women? YAY. You cool. Anal sex with guys? Ack-… no, you gay. Because gay is bad, right? Means slutty, right?

This woman is a flat-out predator- a user of teens/children for her own sexual satisfaction. No different than if it was a male doing the same thing. She put herself in a position to have access to children, which is no different from men who do the same thing.

Tennis lessons, anyone? I’ll pass. And not because I’m soooo heterosexual that I’ve never had bi tendencies. More like it grosses me out hearing how both men and women abuse children sexually. I don’t like pedos/pervs who leave a trail of children with confused sexuality in their wake.

Tennis lessons.. the ‘L’ word? That was my first thought.

I hate threads like this, where people excuse the predatory behaviour of adults against children because if a woman is involved, and she isn’t butt-ugly, she gets a walking pass to molest more children. Pretty- get out of jail free card.

Considered attractive? Get out of jail free card even if you are a disgusting pedo.
Considered unattractive? Those sickos should be in jail already!

When you are a predator of children, it doesn’t matter much what the perceived sexuality of the child is. It only matters that you assaulted a child.

Go to jail. Die. Thank you.

Come on Glory, you know I think this isn’t ok. I’m not saying it is because she’s a girl. I was just making a joke at the above comment.

You can look up the medical definition of a pedophile online, or in a DSM-IV book. (That’s the psychology/psychiatry reference book.) Basically, it’s any adult person who is intensely attracted to pre-pubescent children. (Note: PRE-pubescent. Adults who are attracted to teenagers do NOT count.) The definition is focused on the person’s thoughts, not their actions, and I would be willing to bet that there are many pedophiles who never actually molest kids, they just think about it, because they know it is wrong to molest kids. But we’ll probably never know just how many people like that there are in the world because most of them would not go around telling others about what they were thinking.
