On the 19th of October, 2007, 43-year-old Shawn Downey, a former Douglas County public defender, was sentenced to 90 days in jail.
What did he do, you ask?
Well, Shawn Downey gave the 14-year-old daughter of his girlfriend two drinks, then fondled and kissed her.
Hey, at least he didn’t rape her, kill her and dump her corpse in the Missouri river.
After charges were filed against him, Shawn Downey left Omaha and headed to Missouri, where he was arrested on drug possession charges and served a little jail time.
Once he was done with his time down there, Missouri authorities sent him back home to Nebraska.
Shawn Downey took a plea bargain and pled guilty to the reduced charges against him, which were third-degree assault and procuring alcohol for a minor.
Another public servant gone bad? Who would have thought?

At the age of 14, girls usually have all the bits and bobs on them, which look pretty grown up to me. i’m not saying i’d actually want a relationship with a 14 year old girl, that *would* be weird. me looking at girls that age is not weird at all. any man that says he wont look at a big breasted 14 year old girl is a liar. there’s a 16 year old girl at the gym i go to who looks great, i was shocked (and maybe a little disapointed) to find out she was only 16, i thought she was at least 20.

See, I have a 13 year old daughter, and because of that, I have forced my self to rethink some things. As a daddy, I don’t want someone my age staring at her. And I am remise to admit that yes, a lot of 14 year olds and older are pretty nice looking. Not that I would touch them, but that is the difference. I would not give them a drink and fondle them, the worste I would ever do is look.

Granted…some girls at 14 are extremely developed. That being said, it’s the parents responsiblity to make sure that they are dressed appropriately. If they are going to flaunt what they got, and look 18, then yeah, old dirty men and regular men, and probably us lesbians are going to look twice. Look twice all you want, but if you know that she is still a child, then fuck, LOOK THE OTHER WAY, not a 3rd glance. DUH
