His name is Matthew Harford, and he’s a 75-year-old pedophile.

Forty years ago, Matthew Harford was arrested for sexually assaulting a child in Miami, Florida.

Since then, he’s been collecting and creating child porn as well as molesting children in a number of states, but he hadn’t come to the attention of the authorities. So Matthew Harford has been having a good ol’ time at the expense of countless children for approximately 40 years.

On the 28th of September, 2007, that good time came to an end when his friend and roommate, Hope Hurst came across a few pictures from Matthew Harford’s child porn collection while looking through an RV that he uses. She had no idea that her friend was into the kiddie porn and was kind of pissed off about it.

I wanted to cry I was too mad I was actually too mad I shook for two days.

She notified the authorities of her findings and gave them free reign to look through everything. On the 5th of October, a search warrant was served on Harford’s residence. It didn’t take long before the cops found a lot of porn that dealt exclusively with kids.

Matthew Harford was arrested that same day and charged with one count of sexual battery by a person in custodial authority on a person under 12 years of age, seventeen counts of promoting sexual performance by a child, and eighteen counts of sexual performance by a child.

During an interrogation, Matthew Harford admitted that he had taken the photographs and made the videos that disgust the rest of humanity. He also admitted that he had sexually assaulted one of the boys that he’d taken nude pictures of.

It’s hard to imagine how this guy could have gone so long without being discovered. It’s also hard to imagine the sheer numbers of children he has been able to victimize in the 40 years he’s been out and about. He’s been all over the United States, visiting New York and Texas on numerous occasions.

Hope Hurst mentioned to reporters that she always had a little niggling suspicion in the back of her mind.

Every time he talked about a little boy his eyes would light up.

Age hasn’t slowed the pedophile down. Just last week, according to investigators, Matthew Harford showed porn to a child. He was also in the process of converting a bus into an RV so that he could take more kids to Disney World at once.

According to Hope Hurst, Matthew Harford drove out to Texas in June in order to pick up three kids and take them to Disney World for three weeks.

We bet their parents are feeling a little upset right now. Murderously so. Of course it’s not like anyone is going to be able to get at Mr. Harford, because he wasn’t given a bond.

Even if he’s given a life sentence, Mr. Harford is 75. He probably doesn’t have a lot of years left in him. Kind of weird wishing a pedophile would live longer, isn’t it?
