How many people can you fit into a one-bedroom apartment?
Tammy Lynn Melton and Emanuel Jones have probably set some kind of record.
They managed to fit both adults, a handicapped, invalid grandmother, and eight children into their northwest Houston apartment.
As you can imagine, the cleanliness of the apartment was below third-world standards. Police were so unimpressed with Tammy Melton’s cleaning habits that they filed a report on the 7th of October, 2007, a report that expressed the officers’ concern with the ants and roaches that roamed freely throughout the apartment. Child Protective Services got wind of the situation through the officer’s reports, but didn’t check out the family until the 16th of October, 2007.
Of course a messy apartment, in and of itself, wouldn’t be enough to get these two winners onto the front page of People You’ll See In Hell. Nope.
On the 16th of October, one of the kids kept by Tammy Lynn Melton and Emanuel Jones, an 11-month-old boy, was taken to Texas Children’s Hospital. The boy had a broken arm and a broken wrist. The little kid’s brain was also bleeding due to a subdural hematoma he had suffered.
His parents claimed that their boy had fallen off a bed.
Doctors believed otherwise.
According to CPS spokeswoman Estella Olguin:
He’s got a subdural hematoma, which is more consistent with blunt trauma to the head, and he’s got those two fractures, which is also consistent with something, some sort of trauma - and non-accidental.
You’d think that a boy with two broken bones and a bleeding brain would be in pain…but he wasn’t.
Isn’t that weird?
Doctors ran a drug screen on the boy to find out what was in his system and - lo and behold - they found cocaine.
After calling the police, doctors tested each of the boy’s other siblings and found cocaine in three of the seven other children. Investigators aren’t sure exactly how the cocaine found its way into the four kids bodies, but they’re pretty sure it didn’t sneak up on them while they were sleeping at night and cruise into their nostrils.
Both Tammy Lynn Melton and Emanuel Jones have been charged with injury to a child.

These people don’t look like they could even afford cocaine, much less share it! And to an 11-month-old baby! Sick bastards!

First of all it was her mother. I was her mother’s nurse at one of her doctors visits. Not a grandmother. They haven’t always been that way. I knew tammy when she had the first boy (5).Mybe it was the guy who lead her in that direction.

cocaine? and all they got was injury to a child? WTF???

Actually, It was her grandmother. Tammy’s mother gave Tammy up when she was a baby to be raised by her (Tammy’s) grandmother. And yes, she has been that way since high school.
