You’ve all heard of May - December romances, but this…is ridiculous.
24-year-old Anthony Merino, a man without any apparent significant physical flaws, had just started a good part-time job working as a lab technician at the Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, New Jersey, a job that supplemented the income he got from his other part-time gig as a histology technician at Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey.
An industrious young man, Anthony was working those two jobs to help support his mother, who suffers from Alzheimer’s, and his father who suffers from colon cancer.
For two weeks, Anthony Merino had been doing a great job. Nobody complained about him, and nobody had a problem with the way he did his job. He even passed the background check every hospital employee has to have done on them.
On the 28th of October, 2007, Anthony Merino told a security guard that he needed to get into the morgue to check some human tissue samples, but that his morgue key wasn’t working.
The guard, of course, let him in and continued his rounds.
On the way back, the guard saw something a bit odd.
As you can expect from past stories you’ve read on People You’ll See In Hell, the guard came across Anthony Merino having sex with one of the corpses.
Now, even ordinary necrophilia is bad, what makes this particular event even worse was that Mr. Merino had chosen the corpse of a 92-year-old woman.
Ew.
Police responded immediately, arriving at the scene within moments and finding Anthony Merino frantically washing his penis.
The officers let Mr. Marino tuck everything back in, then turned him around and arrested him.
After a short police interview, Anthony Merino was charged with sexual penetration of human remains. This is a second-degree felony that carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $100,000 fine.
Anthony Merino has lost his job. Probably both his jobs, because this kind of event doesn’t exactly stay private.
He has also lost his fiance, who had a complete breakdown when she heard her intended husband was out cheating on her with a dead 92-year-old.
Remember folks, necrophilia is never worth it.

I wonder if he finished? Do you think his eyes rolled to the back of his head (I know the woman’s didn’t). It’s her fault anyway. I mean, why the hell is she lying around naked…in a freezer…in the morgue?
