  • Robert J. Pavlovich Jr.

Robert PavlovichWith the hundreds of thousands of police officers working throughout the United States, there’s bound to be a few that slip through the cracks.

Smaller towns and counties often have to scramble to get even semi-qualified people to submit an application. Pay is usually the biggest factor contributing to the officer shortage, with smaller towns frequently paying their new officers less than $20,000 a year.

That being said, if you’re in charge, or know someone in charge, of hiring police officers in your neck of the woods, please don’t hire 39-year-old Robert J. Pavlovich Jr.

    Please.

Way back in 1995, Robert Pavlovich worked as a police officer in Manheim Township in Pennsylvania…for a while. He was charged with indecently assaulting a teenage girl, but acquitted. Even though his jury found him not guilty, he was still fired.

Shortly after that, Robert Pavlovich went to Duncannon, Pennsylvania, and was hired on as a police officer there. Again, there were problems with him touching the teenage girls, but this time Pavlovich quit before he could be fired.

In 2000, he joined the Marysville, Pennsylvania police department and there he stayed.

As you can imagine, a cop in a small town can wield a great deal of power, and Robert Pavlovich took advantage of that.

    How, you ask?

    Well let’s see.

There was the 19-year-old “mildly retarded girl” who he met when he responded to a car crash that she was involved in. Pavlovich helped the girl out and the girl’s father thanked Pavlovich for being so kind to his “mildly retarded daughter.”

Two days later, Robert went to the girl’s house while she was home alone. Once there, he pulled his pants down, fondled himself and pressured the girl to have sex with him. After a blowjob, Pavlovich left.

Another girl who Robert Pavlovich chased after had successfully avoided him until the night of her 16th birthday. She was at a party with alcohol present and was toasted when the cops showed up.

Officer Pavlovich was the responding officer! Surprise surprise!

He walked off a little way with her and started laying it on pretty thick, telling her how much trouble she would be in and how much trouble her friends would be in. Long story short - they had sex and he let her and her friends go.

Because he liked her performance so much, Officer Pavlovich changed the reading on a blood-alcohol test she took on another occasion and got her and two of her friends out of a possible criminal charge.

The girl also said that Robert Pavlovich had agreed not to arrest a guy who sold her drugs on a regular basis and even gave her 20 bucks to go buy some cocaine.

    Yes, Robert liked the girls.

He had a habit of chatting with them on the internet, meeting girls from his area with MySpace. He’d chat with them late at night and try to convince them to sneak out of their houses to meet him after his shift was over.

Once he met them, Robert would drive them to secluded places and get it on.

Probably with that playing in the background.

It took a while, but gradually the Marysville Police Department realized that, with Robert Pavlovich, they had a problem on their hands.

Three sets of parents complained about Pavlovich hanging around their daughters, calling them all the time, and just being creepy in general.

An investigation was begun on the 5th of March, 2007, and Officer Pavlovich became citizen Pavlovich while the investigation was conducted.

On the 7th of March, a very guilty-looking Robert Pavlovich tried to kill himself, but was unsuccessful.

Investigators found many girls who were willing to come forward with accusations of impropriety on Pavlovich’s part. Fourteen girls, in fact.

    Some as young as 12.

On the 9th of May, a newspaper article appeared in a local paper about the grand jury investigating him, and on the 11th of May, Robert Pavlovich again tried to off himself with pills and booze.

With all the testimony against him, the grand jury decided that yes, the case against Mr. Pavlovich could proceed.

He was charged with a slew of crimes that, if he’s found guilty of and given the maximum sentences for, could result in a possible 154 years in prison and over $200,000 in fines.

It might interest you to know that Robert Pavlovich was married with a young daughter while all this was going on. Or maybe not. Either way.

Sick. I am glad I have never ran into sick f***ers like this where I live. I have ran into some crooked cops but none that were trying to be sexually active with people.
