  • Pekka-Eric Auvine

Pekka-Eric AuvinenSo, you think you want a revolution?

18-year-old Pekka-Eric Auvine, a bullied Finnish high school student who idolized Eric Harris, Dylan Klebold, Adolf Hitler and Joseph Stalin, didn’t like the injustices he saw in the world.

By the way, interesting bunch of people to idolize there. Can you imagine all five of those guys sitting down and playing a rousing game of Halo3 while drinking Coke and sharing a plate of cookies?

No? Maybe it’s just me then.

Active on YouTube, Pekka-Eric Auvine made almost a hundred videos that displayed his contempt for the world, and posted them to the video site for everyone to see.

On his YouTube channel, “The Channel of Truth and Justice,” he had a lot to say.

I am a cynical existentialist, antihuman humanist, antisocial social darwinist, realistic idealist and godlike atheist.

Pekka-Eric Auvine loved his adjectives, didn’t he?

He also loved his .22 pistol, and would often hold it while recording several of his video rants.

On the 7th of November, 2007, Pekka-Eric Auvine recorded the last of his video rants and uploaded it to YouTube. After that was done, he took his pistol with him to Joleka High School in southern Finland - a school with 400 students between the ages of 12 and 18 - and started killing people.

He started roaming the campus, walking through various corridors and bursting into classroom after classroom - shooting at random targets that presented themselves. As Pekka-Eric Auvine stalked his fellow man, he would randomly shout things like “Revolution” and “Smash everything!”

His effectiveness was questionable at best, because nobody is going to join someone in revolutionary activities while that person is shooting at them.

After killing five boys, two girls and the headmistress, and wounding a dozen more students, Pekka-Eric Auvine shouted: “This is the start of the revolution,” turned the gun on himself and shot himself in the head.

It’s probably not entirely possible to understand exactly why Pekka-Eric Auvine decided to go on a rampage, but his feelings mirrored the feelings of others before him.

Read this excerpt from Pekka-Eric Auvine and ask yourself what he had to say this sounds familiar, if it sounds like something you’ve read before.

You might ask yourselves, why did I do this and what do I want. Well, most of you are too arrogant and closed-minded to understand… You will proprably say me that I am”insane”, “crazy”, “psychopath”, “criminal” or crap like that. No, the truth is that I am just an animl, a human, an individual, a dissident.

I have had enough. I don’t want to be part of this fucked up society. Like some other wise people have said in the past, human race is not worth fighting for or saving… only worth killing. But… When my enemies will run and hide in fear when mentioning my name… When the gangsters of the corrupted governments have been shot in the streets… When the rule of idioracy and the democratic system has been replaced with justice… When intelligent people are finally free and rule the society instead of the idiocratic rule of majority… In that great day of deliverance, you will know what I want.

Pekka-Eric Auvine certainly wasn’t the first to do this, and he won’t be the last.

    God help us.

As horrible as this is it’s kind of disgusting that the american media isn’t reporting this. It’s only four less people than were killed at Columbine and yet there is nothing. Findland doesn’t have any oil so I guess america isn’t interested in what’s happening there.

It’s amazing that the United States hasn’t picked up on this. Drudge is the only news source that’s really covered the incident.

But then American news is more concerned with the writer’s strike and the loss of “Desperate Housewives” and “24″ than it is with a school shooting in a relatively peaceful country.

What’s with all the school shootings recently? I mean it seems after V-Tech the deed’s sorta become a fad, a very bad one of course, but still the frequency of them is rising.

Anon…if you think about it, it’s not really recently. They happen every few months. If you think about it, Columbine was the “first maintstream” one and well it just keeps going. Not like once a month, but we’ll say seasonally. They might not be as big as Columbine or V-tech, but they happen. They’re in the headlines…As far as he being a copy cat, I don’t know if I agree. He seems more like a gay (I don’t mean that in a bad way, strictly a homosexual way) anarchist. That’s all it is. Really, soceity can’t except it.

At least he didn’t live in Utah, then he really would’ve been screwed.
