  • James Annanaeillio Walker

James Walker mugshotSexual deviants sure do love public restrooms.

Now, the erotic nature of a public restroom is hard to understand for most people. Most people consider public restrooms to be places to get their business done as quickly as possible - getting in and getting out - all while touching a few things as possible.

38-year-old James Walker, on the other hand, loves public rest rooms.

    And boys.

This predilection for pedophilia was known as far back in 1996, when James Walker was one of the subjects of a six month investigation run by a newspaper aimed at exposing area pedophiles.

In March of 2002, after being convicted of lewd and lascivious activities with a child, James Walker was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

That’s a nice long sentence. Now, how much time did he actually serve?

Well, due to good behavior laws in effect at the time of his sentencing, Mr. Walker served less than half his sentence and was released into society as a registered sexual offender in April of 2007.

On the ninth of November, 2007, at eight in the morning, James Walker watched as a 15-year-old boy, after missing his bus, started a long walk to Mainland High School in Daytona Beach.

When the boy stopped into a public restroom located in a lakeside park, James Walker saw his chance.

Right after the boy closed the restroom stall and sat down, James slid under the stall door.

Once inside the stall, James pinned the boy to the wall, did “something sexual” to the kid and then ran off.

James WalkerThe teen found a park grounds keeper and together they notified the police. The police responded in a timely manner and found James Walker in the parking lot of his apartment complex, which was about half a mile from the park. In what should have been a “Cops” segment, James started to run as soon as he saw the cops, but was caught after a short foot chase and a tussle with the arresting officers.

James Walker was booked into jail with what should now be a familiar charge of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child under 16. He was also hit with charges of exposure of sexual organs, false imprisonment, simple battery and resisting arrest with violence.

Unfortunately for Mr. James Walker, sentencing laws have changed since the last time he was sentenced. Now, prisoners in Florida can’t have more than 15 percent of their prison time taken off for good behavior.

Ol’ Palmella just wasn’t cutting it anymore huh? Seriously, what is up with the mindset of people who do this stuff? It’s just beyond me. Probably because I have no interest in little boys.

What’s worse though is how they effect the lives of the victim’s. Will that kid ever be able to go to a public restroom again without flinching? Or even at all? And what does it do to parents finding this stuff out? Will they ever let their kid go to a public restroom alone? Can they trust he’ll be safe? Thanks to men like this, apparently not.

rape and sexual assault are equally bad in my book and it doesn’t really matter if it’s a child or a grown up who’s the victim. i hope this guys rots in prison for a looooooooooong time.

My children are not allowed to go to a public restroom alone. One of the reasons is because of a certain story on this site detailing the rape and murder of a little girl in a restroom at the mall. The other reason is because a couple of days after reading that entry, my 12-year-old had a scare at the local Wal-Mart when my granny let her go to the restroom alone. We live in a small town and think we’re semi-safe here. Wrong. She was almost abducted by to older teenage boys. It scared the crap out of her. Now we all know: no public bathrooms alone!

Absolutely, Michelle. Children need to have at least a parent within eyeshot of the bathroom entrance. Personally I don’t see why a parent or relative should have a problem with just going in and maybe washing their hands while the child does his or her business.

Yeah, I can agree with that. Better safe than sorry.
