Lamar Platt’s father has been living in Jamaica for quite some time and Lamar’s mother was chopped into pieces and thrown into the Harlem river on the 18th of November, 2007.
Yes, that’s right, 45-year-old Marlene M. Platt, a nurse’s aide who raised Lamar Platt and his brother by herself was shot, killed, butchered and transported in garbage bags via stolen shopping cart to the Harlem river, where her remains were dumped like an unwanted sofa.
22-year-old Nashan Platt’s remains were treated the same way.
And yes, Lamar Platt did it. He even admitted it.
It took a while, though.
About a week.
A week after Lamar Platt killed his mother and brother, his grandmother, 63-year-old Elveda Wright flew into town and confronted Lamar on the 25th of November. Knowing that Lamar had threatened his mother on a number of occasions, and that he had been growing increasingly violent lately, she felt that something was wrong.
So when she caught up to Lamar, she asked him why nobody was answering the phone when she called.
She asked him to give her the key to the apartment, so she could check up on her daughter.
Lamar, not being a stupid man, refused, of course.
After all, if she went inside, she might see all the blood and gore coating the walls. She might see the machete and serrated knife that he had used to cut up his mother and brother into pieces small enough to put into garbage bags. She might see some sign that he had taken six trips down to the street to fill up a shopping cart with the garbage bags full of his relatives. She might realize that it had taken six trips to the river to dispose of her daughter and grandson.
She might be a little upset if she found that out, so I’m sure he said something to the effect of, “No, grandmother. You may not come into the apartment.”
So Elveda Wright called 911.
The cops showed up to see what the fuss was all about and had just started their walkaround at about five in the afternoon when Lamar Platt showed up after a hard day’s work at the barber shop.
The police asked some uncomfortable questions, Lamar had no satisfactory answers, and, in the end, a window was used by the authorities to gain entry into what was described as “a slaughterhouse.”
This is what Lamar Platt’s family looked like before he cut them up into little pieces. Lamar is the sullen-looking boy on the right who looks like he wants to eat your face.
Despite admitting what he did to detectives, Lamar Platt has entered a plea of not-guilty.
So.
For the next several years, we can all look forward to Lamar eating, sleeping and receiving medical care on your dime.
The corrections industry is, as always, grateful for the job security.

i’m stumped. this one’s even worse then the guy who killed the old woman for no apparent reason, how can you get to a point where you kill your own mother and brother? i guess grandma should feel lucky, if she had entered the house in stead of calling 911, i’m sure she woud’ve suffered the same fate.

he’ll kill himself once he’s off suicide watch (if he gets put on it). The grandma will say something in court, and they way grandma’s always do, will make his cold heart sink and he will kill himself.

It is odd the things you can see in photographs.
My eldest son-
In all his school pics he looks guarded. In pics with/by his dad, he looks contrived or like he’s making an effort. In the pics I’ve taken, he looks open and happy. Glowing, almost.
My younger son looks glowy in almost every pic, no matter who took it.
My guess about the difference is that my ex, even after we married, did not live with me and our oldest son, and commuted instead, and he was not a big part of our lives until he moved here right before the birth of our second son. Their father has since left us, and we are now in a fairly nasty divorce/custody suit. It has become obvious to me that our eldest bonded more with me, whereas his brother, who was around both of us, has bonded to both of us. I’m guessing that’s why their pics are so different.
The pic in this ‘story’ (the Lamar Platt case)has the same kind of obvious visual cues. Looking at the pic it is very easy to see that what was described by the ed as ‘wanting to eat your face’ is accurate. It’s too bad that pics aren’t more ‘readable’, in order to give the back story. Nevertheless, it is easy to see that only one of the people in the pic is unhappy/disturbed.

Not able to tell much based on the side angle, but one peek at his myspace validates my opinion about being able to see when people are disturbed.
That being said, I would be very curious to find out who is the boy at the bottom left of them pic, and what his rap sheet says about him. Does anyone know who all the people in the photo are, and can they check up on that kid? Because my ‘sensor’ is telling me that he is pretty disturbed, too.

Why don’t we send Lamar a little care package. Something to help him widdle away the hours in jail.
Say a nice short rope, pre-tied of course. Maybe a couple dozen arsenic pills, with a large bottle of drano to help wash the pills down. We could possibly even help him with something to watch, say a nice TV and VCR with a tape of Grandma talking to him. Letting him know just how much she loves him.

Lamar was my boy,it’s crazy what he did.To this day I’m Still in shock.He lived down the street from me and i also went to school with him.My Condolences go out to the family and those who suffered R.I.P

My mother was ripped from me by severe asthma about 6 and a half years ago, less than a month before my 18th birthday. She spent April – June of 2003 having at least one severe asthma attack a month, the kind that would put her in the hospital. In fact, the third one put her in ICU for a couple days. She got out, had another one and it was that fourth attack that killed her.
I loved my mother with all my heart. She was the best mom ever. She was charming, funny, charismatic, friendly, social, and cared for me deeply. She and I were as close as you can get and I loved her. I loved her laugh, her humor, and all the love she gave to me. I cried for her when she died and I still miss her to this day. I have a soft spot for mothers of the world and wish I could still see mine.
So for this ASSHOLE to fuckin’ murder his mother, and other family, cut them up into pieces and dump them like it’s no big deal, i can’t help but be INFURIATED! How dare he? How fucking dare he?! And then to admit to the murder and still claim to be not guilty? HOW DARE HE!!!!

it’s obvious this guy was on psychiatric drugs that made him do it and maybe something more to it, but I heard about it from a teacher that psychiatric drugs ironically make people go nuts
