You may have thought that raping a ten-month-old baby was the worst that could happen.
Unfortunately for society, 21-year-old Christopher Ryan Richardson has gone past those fine examples of modern manliness and set a new standard for scum.
Christopher Ryan Richardson, may his name live forever in infamy, abused and digitally raped his eight-day-old daughter, Nevaeh Ann Richardson.
During his arraignment, Christopher Richardson made a few outbursts, calling the judge an idiot, denying the charges and telling anyone within earshot that the acts he’s accused of are “psychotic.”

On the 23rd of November, eight-day-old Nevaeh Ann Richardson was taken to the hospital because of severe bleeding from her mouth and rectum.
Doctors realized that the bleeding had been caused by someone sticking their finger into the girl’s rectum.
Repeatedly.
The day after she was admitted to the hospital, Nevaeh Richardson died, due to massive blood loss resulting from the anal rape complicated with a case of blood poisoning, which was also due to the rape.
Another short life, snuffed out by a worthless son of a bitch.
Christopher Richardson was easy enough for the authorities to find, sitting in jail for the past week, charged with his third offense of domestic violence for assaulting and threatening the child’s mother on the night Nevaeh was taken to the hospital
Christopher Richardson has now been charged with new charges – charges of felony murder, first-degree criminal sexual conduct and first-degree child abuse.
The murder charge by itself would lead to a mandatory life sentence. First-degree criminal sexual assault gets him another lifetime behind bars. First-degree child abuse gets Christopher Richardson a possible 15 years in prison.
Would that be enough time for that particular crime?

According to Wayne County Assistant Prosecutor Lora Weingarden, the murder of 8-day-old Nevaeh Ann Richardson may go unpunished.
Whoever did this is going to get away with it. It’s terrible. An innocent baby was killed.
25th District Court Judge David A. Bajorek said the prosecutor presented circumstantial evidence and there wasn’t enough to convince him that Richardson should stand trial for the charges.
A video of a six-hour interrogation of Richardson showed that he admitted that he may have accidentally digitally penetrated his daughter, but Bajorek said the interrogator used rogue tactics to make Richardson produce an incriminating statement, and it wasn’t a confession. Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Bruce Morrow affirmed this decision.
Charges were dropped against Christopher Ryan Richardson – the only person who has been accused of assaulting and killing Nevaeh Ann Richardson.

I want to make two points about this pathetic story and some people’s take on it. On an earlier link here, one person commented that as far as dying goes, dying from being anally raped was no worse than any other way of dying, and that people are only interested in this story for it’s prurient value. From what I have read, the baby did not die immediately from being anally raped, it died from sepsis and internal/oral/anal injuries, and was physically abused as well. Any idiot could figure out that being shot point blank or by blunt force trauma would certainly be a less painful way to die. Look up the word ‘sepsis’. We should be shocked that anyone would kill a baby, much less do it in some/any kind of sexual context.
But, that commentator has a point. I don’t think it’s my imagination that there are more and more sexual assaults on children than there used to be, and more assaults that include sodomy.

There were only 4 people in that home when baby Nevaeh’s life was taken. I think all of them need to be in jail. There is NO WAY that no one heard her screams in the house that night. I think they all did it. Nevaeh’s grandmother that pice of $*^% doesn’t even care about her. She calls her ‘That baby’ not my granddaughter or my baby “that baby’. She has cried no tears for Nevaeh. Nevaeh’s mother where is she as her 8 day old infant is being raped. I have not seen that family shed 1 tear for Nevaeh. It took longer for them to make her then it did to destroy her. Nevaeh went through the worst pain and suffering that I have ever heard of. She could not do anything but cry to defend herself. I can’t even imagine the screams that came from her. Where was everyone when this child was abused? Why would anyone be playing music so loud with a new baby in the home. Why didn’t the mother, grandmother, grandfather or that piece of *#&$ you call a father turn the music down if the baby was sleeping. They took her life in the most horrific way.
I am glad that Nevaeh didn’t hold on to her life because now she does not have any more pain. She does not have to live with the monsters that heart her. If her wounds were not as bad she may have lived and this would have continued to her for the rest of her life.

My first child literally screamed for his first 4 1/2 months of life due to supposedly ‘colic’. Colic meaning that doctors have no clue why, other than perhaps the baby’s digestive system is not mature enough to process breastmilk or other. I did not kill my baby. I did not abuse them. Every time I was too overwhelmed, I would give myself a time out and just go away and cry. And let him cry.
Luckily, my second boy never had any colic. What a difference!
My point being, I’ve heard a lot of shady, crack-addled excuses for why people have ‘accidentally’ killed their children, but to date, I cannot remember one of them claiming that it happened because they were overwhelmed by their child’s colic. To me, that would be a better excuse.
Problem is, in most of these disgusting cases, the reason is that the child is crying because of an injury, instead. My eldest, unlucky again, suffered burnt feet from using his walker across a floor heater, and I can recall to this day how horrible it was. The difference between his crying about colic and crying because his feet got burned. The difference being that even though the colic cry was nerve-grating, the burn pain cry was beyond this world. I was a mess, trying to find the nearest ER for children. That seems to keep coming up as a difference…. there is no way I could have just slept and said- oh, we’ll take him in tomorrow or the next day… even though I felt guiltier than shit that I did not realize he could get his walker on the heater. I did not avoid medical care because I might get blamed.

You say we don’t have all the evidence and/or we can’t believe everything we read then tell us what were missing. Everything I see PROVES that they are all responsible for her death and every horrible thing that happened to her. Everyone in the home when this happened should be in jail.
I as a parent would guard my baby from anything happening to him or her. I would have a baby monitor for instance to make sure I know what is going on with my baby even when my child is not in view. I as a loving parent WOULD NOT have music turned up when the baby should be sleeping. I would know the people around my child. This man beats his girlfriend I would deem this unsuitable behavior to be around my child alone.

Yes, you are right about the baby monitor thing. I could not afford to buy a new one when I was pregnant, so I bought a used one for my boys.
And the point of the monitor was to be reassured that while they were sleeping, that they did not have a medical problem or die of SIDS. I would never have imagined having to use it to prevent my child from being raped or killed. Mostly because I do my best to keep my children away from people like that. I’m just kind of funny that way.

Let’s say for a moment that you are right. He didn’t hurt his daughter. Who did? Who else had access to her? Any way you look at it, it had to be a family member, right? If a stranger hurt her, her family should still have heard her cries, right? If you’re saying he didn’t do it, you’re implying that you know who did, in fact, do it and you now have a moral and legal obligation to take that to the authorities. I encourage you, though, to take an objective look at the evidence and ask yourself if it makes sense for anyone other than the father to have committed this crime. Keep in mind that Dennis Rader was a church-going, family man and he turned out to be BTK. People aren’t always who we think they are, even family members can hide their true selves.

There are other factors that must be taken in. Perhaps it was a medical problem that caused her to bleed from the mouth and anus with that severity.
Also note that no-one’s been accused with orally raping her, or doing whatever they did to make that little girl’s mouth bleed.
Yes, this case is tragic. Yes, someone should pay the price for it. But I don’t see any reason to persecute someone because “it makes sense” that they did it. Unless there’s actual evidence that he did it, there is no reason to chuck him in jail.

Ive read through alot of the comments here and just have to say that this type of crime is in no way new to the era of easily accessible porn (ie. internet). Sixteen yr ago, when I was working for child welfare, we actually had a baby sodomized “digitally” while in the hospital within the first two days of life. Yes the baby was removed from the parents (never went home with them).
The thing about the internet possibly causing more sexual assault crimes is really a matter of people becoming more aware of these crimes due to the internet. These stories are typically seen only within local/regional areas. But since the internet has made news more accessible worldwide we are more aware.
This story………along with many others like it……..is tragic, horrific, and absolutely unexcusable. That said, life in the worst prison available is what this guy deserves. Why should we pay the hundreds of thousands of dollars extra required to put him to death? Let him slowly rot. Don’t put him out of his misery……let him suffer as long as possible. I don’t want to pay any more in taxes than absolutely necessary for scum like this.

when I first read this report, I was in disbelief, and horror and in trying to access some type of update I found similar horrors committed by fathers of infants and was just at a loss as a sense of emptiness filled me.

If I was on the way to the hospital with my daughter like that and did not know what happened, I would pull my wife’s hair and beat the shit out of her, too. i believe you are very wrong about watching him and his family. the mother of the child was in the house at the time also. i would also like to add that once the case was closed the mother just dissappeared. the baby was in the mothers arms the night it all happened. Cynthia (mother) was sleeping on a couch in the living room of the house and chris was sleeping in the bedroom. the grandparents were in there bedroom. also i would like to add that the mother had the baby at a relatives house all day the day it happened.oh and did you know that while the mother was pregnant with the bby she was caught with “coke” shoved inside of her. there was also traces of “coke in the babys blood stream.

Neveah’s mother is a very close friend of my brothers. The REAL reason they dropped the charges is because they had to because they didn’t read him his rights before they interrogated him. He was interrogated for six hours and ADMITTED it. His mother also admitted that he was drunk and alone with the baby. He DID beat the mother up on the way to the hospital after she insisted they take her, he DID plead guilty to that. He is walking the streets, living next door, shopping with, eating with, working with us right now. Keep your kids close, and your babies closer. It’s too bad he didn’t run across the woods in a deer costume during hunting season though, I think that’s too good for him but to have him wiped off the face of the earth would help me sleep better at night. This whole case is a shame. I’m a Criminal Justice student… the thing is, you have to make sure not just that you use Miranda, you have to ensure that they UNDERSTAND IT. Otherwise some guy can just play dumb and say “well they read me some stuff really quick but it had big words and I didn’t understand what they were saying” … and then everything you got out of the interrogation/interview is considered Fruit of the Poison Tree… aka illegally gotten and INADMISSIBLE TO COURT…

The rules are there for everyone’s protection to make sure the legal system is theoretically fair, but a shrewd defense lawyer can pick apart any mistake of the arresting officers, the interrogation, anything and have things go to mistrial or get dismissed.
In cases like this, I really think that this guy did it. I want to ask if the autopsy results were released? Would they be able to find cells that didn’t belong to the baby in there? I wonder if this guy or WHOEVER used gloves while molesting this poor baby. =(

Our Justice system is far from perfect. It is cases like this one that makes you grit your teeth and slam your head into the nearest wall for such a rookie mistake. But no matter how unfair that seems, the systems we have in place are there for the protection of all people. No matter how much we want to make an exception in cases like this douche bag, we can’t. It would undermine our entire system. The laws for one are the laws for all. We learn from our mistakes and I bet the officers involved with this one will never repeat it.
I used to work as a legal assistant and worked on a case that broke my heart because a guy wasn’t read his miranda rights and the case got thrown out. I actually quit my job after this case. We had a 4 year old little girl that had been repeatedly raped by her stepfather. Her mother had died and her biological father died before she was born and social services couldn’t locate her extended relatives, so they left this little girl in the care of the stepfather. She goes to daycare one day and was bleeding (you know where) and it wouldn’t stop, a daycare worker noticed she had blood on her and finally got the little girl to tell her that he had been touching her. They took her to the hospital and obtained medical evidence that she had been raped over and over again. The stepdad was arrested and held in the county jail. I spent a lot of time working with this little girl because she wouldn’t tell the attorneys what had happened to her, so they had me work with her and I tried not to get emotionally involved, but it was impossible not to. We went to court and the case was dismissed because the cops didn’t read him his miranda rights. The stepfather was given his custody rights restored even though there was medical evidence proving she had been raped. The look of horror on her face when she found out she had to go back home with him tore me up and haunted me. Well, he did rape her again and he is now in jail for it, but she should have never had to go back home with this perv because of something so stupid. I did go back and work for the firm on this case for free just so that I could help put this POS away and also let this little girl know that I didn’t abandon her. She is now 18 years old and about to go off to college in the fall. I am very proud of the young lady that she turned out to be despite what he did to her. I have been a part of her life since that case and will always be a part of her life. She’s a good kid!

The story is horrific to say the least…. The allegations are mindblowing… The images, hard to even fathom. Nothing was proven in this case as sad as that may seem. Let us that are not without sin, cast the 1st stone though. We are all entitled to our own opinions…. I write in disgust for whomsoever did this to this innocent child, as I am a single mother of two little girls. However, we as a human race are so fast to point fingers, blame names, ridicule, and persecute others before we take a good look at ourselves. The story is horrific to say the least…. The allegations are mindblowing… The images, hard to even fathom. this case [is] sad. Let us cast [a] stone [at his head]. We are all entitled to our own opinions…. I write in disgust for [the fuck who] did this to this innocent child, as I am a single mother of two little girls. we as a human race [should be] so fast to point fingers, blame names, ridicule, and persecute [slimeballs who diddle babies]. The mother in this situation [may be] just as guilty as the person that did it [if she knew he was any kind of slimeball and thought of him as just a penis]. Repeatedly she was abused by this man, and yet, she allowed him sanctuary in her home. Where was she when this baby was hurt? I never left my childrens sides when they were newborns…. It is hard to believe that this happened, let alone by another human, apparently living with satan in his [or her] soul. The Devil is the only entity capable of such trauma…. He is real. [His name is Christopher Ryan Richardson.] As a people, we need to get together to rebuke him, IN THE NAME OF JESUS [and this innocent baby] and help as much as we can to protect other innocent children in the world so that they do not suffer as this blessed child has. I hope that I have not offended anyone… as I too am entitled to an opinion. I can only pray and hope that my own children remain safe in this hateful world, [and they will be just a bit safer if the likes of Christopher Ryan Richardson rots in jail for life] and that Nevaeh’s family finds peace and closure. God Bless Nevaeh…. she is in heaveN for sure and will be watching over all of us, raised up by the hand of God himself [if you believe in that stuff that is....]— [but she is definitely] not suffering anymore.

People like to bring religion and God into it because apparently God is going to somehow magically make everything alright. For some reason, God allows horrific things to happen, and even though they’re horrific, somehow they’re actually good things because God works in strange and mysterious ways. So somehow the rape and murder of babies is actually a good thing, and the “bad” person that rapes and murders can go to heaven, all they have to do is accept Jesus (or maybe God, I’m not sure) into their hearts. See how that works? Pretty simple – you just have to have a clear understanding of the Bible or Torah or Koran – some holy book – that is off times quoted to tell me I’m wrong and that I’m going to hell and not the baby raper.
Makes no logical sense does it? I don’t think god-if he is out there- forgives quite as easily as some would like to believe-and if heaven is filled with the likes of this baby raping freak, I don’t want to go there

I was reading the case and shocked that he was about to be convicted without further testing of the baby. What if he really didn’t do it, and the baby had a rare genetic disorder. She bleed from the nose and mouth as well. The assault that they spoke of would not cause that, unless he smacked her around.
The judge dismissed the case due to flimsy evidence. I think the baby should be rechecked for genetic conditions that could cause those symptoms.
If he is guilty he should pay, but if innocent, we deserve the truth.

Well when you think about it yes the DNA make up as well as the moleculiar (sp) make up of the food we eat dies in fact effect the ammount of methane is a man’s fart. Which in turn effects the smell of a fart.

There are some genetic conditions that could cause those symptoms, but the chance that this baby had one of them is pretty much nil. For one thing, if she had a clotting disorder, there wouldn’t be any signs of trauma in and around her rectum. Even if she did have a condition that made her susceptible to blood loss, it wouldn’t expunge his disgusting abuse — and there is plenty of reason to think that there was abuse going on here. The idea that he ‘accidentally’ penetrated her is ludicrous — inserting your finger into a fucking eight-day-old baby’s rectum would require effort on the part of the abuser, it wouldn’t just accidentally slip in while he’s changing the infant. And even if it was possible for it to have been an accident (and trust me, it’s not), it’s not the kind of thing you’d forget about, as is implied by him using the word “might”.
I’m usually the first one to point out if there’s any reasonable doubt, but come on… anyone who thinks that a genetic disease caused this needs to pull their head out of their ass and stop being so gullible.
He wasn’t the one who did this… his mother admitted to doing it and the police did nothing about it. this is just another case of racism in the police system. his mother even admited to doing this to someone i know and where is she now? at home not getting any justice for what SHE did.. grow up people stop following the hype of the media

For those who don’t believe in God, you will go to hell. God is perfect and he doesn’t make mistakes. For you who denounce God because you feel he allowed this to happen, you obviously don’t know God. Bad things happen in this world #fact but God is still very real, always loving, and merciful. We are human beings, therefore we judge and blame and are incapable of forgiving or understanding the love God gives. I just wanted to throw that out there because of the comments I read denouncing God. Even in tragedies like this you must always remember that God is REAL. And with that said, I will not comment about the actual article.
