Because only a family member or close family friend would take this so personally. The accusations against the victim’s mother was the big giveaway though. It’s the family line right down the center. You gotta understand S.R., this isn’t my first time at this dance. After observing the behavior of unreasonable family members during a few similar cases, you begin to recognize patterns and phrases in people comments that trip red flags in your head, telling you this person isn’t who he/she claims to be.

BTW, I found out what the infamous “25 felony drug charges” were. The victim’s mom got caught calling in phony prescriptions for controlled substances – it doesn’t sound nearly as bad now that we know what they are, does it? Why didn’t the family tell us that? Because “25 felony drug charge” sounds a lot more ominous than “called in phony scripts”.
