Leon Davis Jr. is a big, big man.
Leon Davis Jr. is a man with a gun, and you know what that means.
It means means Leon Davis Jr. better get some respect, dammit!
Of course, getting respect the old way, the hard way, just wouldn’t do for Mr. Leon Davis. Working hard and working his way up the ladder wasn’t in the cards.
Oh, he’s had jobs, don’t get us wrong… but he wasn’t bringing in enough money with that to support himself in the manner that he felt he deserved.
Surprisingly, despite being convicted of and on probation for grand theft back on the 6th of July, 2007, Leon Davis found employment with the local government at Eagle Lake.
He was promptly suspended from his job after being arrested for larceny on the 30th of November, 2007. After a short stay in jail, he was released back into the community on the 4rd of December, 2007.
Back on the street, Leon Davis Jr. resumed his quest for the best. He deserves it, after all. Damn anyone who got in his way.
That’s what happened on the 7th of December, 2007, when the owner of a convenience store affiliated with BP wouldn’t open his doors for Leon Davis after closing for the night.
Miffed that he wasn’t getting his way, Leon Davis waited until Pravinkumar Patel and Pashrath Patel came outside to change the lettering and numbering on their sign, then shot them both in cold blood.
Like a cockroach, Leon Davis Jr. ran off and hid, probably under a rock somewhere.
He resurfaced on the 13th of December, walking into the Nationwide Insurance office that he regularly did business in.
This time, however, he wasn’t interested in paying his bill.
It’s hard to be certain of what he was thinking, walking into an office with people who could recognize him. Not a good strategy for career criminal, unless that criminal was planning on killing whomever was inside.
Who was inside the office?
Well, 27-year-old Yvonne Bustamante was in the office. She is the mother of two boys.
23- year-old Juanita Luciano was the other person in the office. She is a mother of two girls, and was expecting a son in about 3 months or so.
Juanita was six months pregnant when Leon Davis Jr. walked into the door of that office, carrying a gun, a can of gasoline and a lighter.
That’s as far as she got with the pregnancy.
Barging into the office, Leon Davis waved his gun in the two women’s faces and ordered them into the bathroom, where he demanded money.
The two women followed the advice that’s frequently given to people in those situations: do what you’re told, give them the money, stay down on the ground and pray.
The problem with that advice is that Leon Davis, after receiving the money from the two women, was most unhappy with the amount that he’d collected.
So he liberally sprinkled gasoline on the two women, while they were cowering on the ground and crying in terror, lit them on fire and walked away.
As he was leaving, 34-year-old Brandon Greisman, a father of 5 boys, was walking past, heard the screams of the two women on fire and ran into the office to help them.
As he did so, Leon Davis Jr. raised his gun, aimed it at Brandon Greisman, and shot his nose off.
Then Leon ran off into the afternoon sun.
The sound of gunfire didn’t go unnoticed, and the police and fire department arrived, backed up with a number of paramedic units.
Juanita Luciano was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, with burns over most of her body. Her baby was delivered via an emergency c-section late that night.
Yvonne Bustamante was also in critical condition, with burns over most of her body as well.
Brandon Greisman lived, but will require extensive cosmetic surgery to recover.
Leon Davis…well Leon Davis turned himself in later that night, accompanied by his attorney.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd had an opportunity to converse with Mr. Leon Davis for a while. It wasn’t a particularly warm and friendly time, as Sheriff Judd related:
The only emotion we saw from him at all was when we showed him the surveillance video of himself at the store and he simply smiled.
The evidence against Leon Davis Jr. is strong. The bullets that killed the Patel’s at the gas station have turned out to match the bullets that were fired at the insurance office.
Can’t wait to see what his defense will be, can you?

Hold on. I think we can all agree that he made more than one mistake. Perhaps the count would be more like five or six, in this crime spree alone. I’m not making judgements about the state of his soul. That’s is between him and his Maker, but I’m pretty sure Mr. Davis going to have a bit of explaining to do when he meets Him. For the record, I’m pretty sure that his five victims are not concerned with whether or not he is a good husband, father, etc. As a father, do you think that he’s setting a good example for his kids? And I’m not even talking about this one spree, I’m also referring to his other stints in the clink. I’m sorry, no offense to you, but it’s going to be hard to convince me or a jury of his peers that this is a good guy who made a mistake. (If by mistake you mean making willfull decisions to kill and maim innocent people, I’m on board.) When I think of good people making mistakes I think of bouncing a check or forgetting someone’s birthday. Actions like killing folks and setting pregnant women on fire and such don’t really fall under the category of “mistakes”.

The one poster has got to be kidding us. I’m sure the three people he killed (including the baby that had to be delivered prematurely, he died last night) were AMAZING people. The two women he burned ALIVE are amazing people, even though they’re now clinging to life and hopefully unaware of their sitation. The two men he murdered have no family in the U.S. but I’m just betting their families back home loved them and thought they were amazing. The families of the people he MURDERED in cold blood have to live with his selfish, cold-blooded choices he made. They will never see their loved ones again, the baby that died never had a chance to see the world. Another victim will be forever maimed. A mistake is having an affair or accidently breaking a vase or a teenage driver being a teenage driver and crashing. This is a cold blooded scum sucking piece of garbage. I’m hoping he lives with his mistake until he gets the needle in his arm. Take that with your AMAZING description of Leon and shove it.

it’s not a mistake when you shoot two people then walk away. it’s not a mistake when you light two people on fire and walk away. it’s not a mistake when you’re walking away and you shoot some guys nose off. it’s not a mistake when you turn yourself in with an attorney with you.
[Reply]
Um, yeah, Brittany… and it’s not a mistake when said attorney helps you plead ‘not guilty’ because of either some mental problem, or because you also were a victim of violence or abused as a child.
I worked at a bank years ago that was robbed. The guy showed up at my window and ordered me to empty my drawer. I started laughing. I thought it was a joke until he pointed his gun at me. This was before many banks started having the plexiglass safety screens. Instead, I threw him my keys and backed up against the wall with my very young (18?) co-worker and told him to help himself. With my vault manager keys and the keys he got from the bank manager, he was able to open the vault and steal over 50,000.00.
For some reason this took almost an hour, during which myself and all the other bank employees, including a 8 month pregnant woman (who went into labour after the robbery) were ordered face down in the vault. The guy was never caught.
I cannot imagine at that point having someone pour flammable liquids on us and then setting us on fire. It was tramautic enough, the way it went down. Even after all these years. I cannot imagine how horrible it must have been for these people.
As far as I can tell, the only real mistake made in this case was that this loser’s cells divided and multiplied in his mother’s womb, and did not spontaneously abort.

actually, this did happen in a very small town, so the notion of ‘things like this dont happen in small towns’ is an gross understatement. i have friends that live near where this happened, where ive visited and hung out. i cant imagine if i had happened to be in that bank or near and heard those cries like the man who tried to save them did. death is solid and permanent. you cant bring the two gas station employees back, you cant bring the fetus back, you cant erase the memories that the two young women will have for the rest of their lives if they even survive this. he deserves what they went through and worse.

I have to agree in some points with Brittany - I know him personally as well… I’m a intelligent person and I am over half way to my degree in Psychology. I have known him since he was about 9 years old and this is TOTALLY out of character. This could be your brother, husband or friend. I don’t expect anyone to understand but people do snap, and there are several disorders that can cause such a personality change. So, any of you that know anything about how the mind works should know strange things happen. Also, anyone who knows the Lord knows that He loves Leon just as much as anyone else writing here and Leon has just as much chance to be in heaven as any one of us.

I believe to have a chance of Heaven, one has to repent of sins and not sin again. Leon has shown no remorse. Perhaps it is a mental illness. I personally think anyone who murders is mentally ill or totally without a conscience - but to kill in cold blood innocent people. This has gotten to epidemic proportions in this world. If released into society again, Leon would just go back to his murdering armed robbery ways (probably for drugs am I correct?). For such MURDERERS as Leon the death penalty is the only way to ensure society is protected.
I do have a relative who was don drugs off and on for years and has been in and out (presently in) prison. His episodes kept escalating. I provided him shelter after 1 release and he stole from me. Anyway, progressed to armed robbery and thank God his victim survived.

I don’t care if it was out of chracter or not, he murdered four people (the fifth one isn’t likely to make it either). Judging from his past criminal history of stealing from people, I’d say the only thing that caused him to “snap” was the fact he would be going to prison for a probation violation. I doubt care how amazing or good of a person he was, his criminal acts speak for themselves as to what kind of person he really is. And I’m sorry but on judgement day, the souls of the people he killed will be waiting in heaven…. to see him get his one way ticket to hell

Karen,
You are absolutely right. None of us are fit to judge the state of his soul. However, here on Earth, in this physical plane, he has to face the consequences of his actions. Those consequences include, amoung other things, anger and remonstration from his fellow humans. God may forgive him, but the criminal justice system can’t.
[Reply]
This is true..only God can judge. If he is not remorseful for his crimes, which he is not yet, then how can he be forgiven. In order for you to repent and ask for forgiveness, you must first feel remorse for your sins. God knows your heart.
[Reply]
Sarah and Laura,
That is all I’m saying - I was strickly speaking to those who were condeming this man’s soul to hell with no authority. And OF COURSE he has to face the natural law for what has happened. And who can say he is not remorseful? Or the larger fact being, is he CAPABLE of being remorseful? If he truly snapped, (and knowing him for so many years I know he had to of snapped). Before this point if I never knew him I would be saying fry him like everyone else, but, after this I will look at all situations differently. It’s a hard thing to understand. No one that knew him well can understand this, it’s a shock and a nightmare. And it’s not like he had years and years of criminal record - it was all centered on this year. And please everyone be intelligent enough to know that when the paper says he “smiled” when they showed him the video tape, that can be only the paper,or the way someone interpreted the action or it could be that he truly has lost his natural mind. And the showing up with a lawyer part, this was the suggestion of the family members who brought him in and to my knowledge he only has a public defendar from his previous theft case. But we all need to remember the most important thing is to keep these families that have lost so much in prayer daily. They are going thru something so terrible we couldn’t even imagine.
[Reply]
and it still doesn’t matter to me. I don’t care if he was the second coming of Christ before this year. He murdered four people(possibly five), no matter who he was beforehand means squat to me. His acts show him for what he truly is- a cold-blooded killer
[Reply]
Well, the Lord may love Leon. Little comfort for the rest involved in this story. Yet again, comes the “crazy” defense. I refuse to believe that every criminal is “mentally ill”, “insane” or “has snapped”. That would mean that if you get robbed at gunpoint, raped, beaten, or just plain bullied that the person is not responsible for their actions. I wouldn’t want to live in a world where I am at the mercy of other’s mood swings.
I agree with Kdogg, whatever he was before this act is null and void. I have never been in trouble with the law; however, if I robbed a bank and shot an employee I would not be vindicated because of my past.
When I “snap” I cut off my hair, have a glass of wine or nag at my husband. It feels better than felony assault and murder and there are none of the nasty side affects.
[Reply]
Listen, I do understand and agree with alot of the comments here, all I’m trying to say is that no actions prior would have given anybody a clue that something like this would happen, and I also was just saying that we cannot say who goes and who doesn’t go to hell…
I don’t think anyone would say these were good acts or that they should be excused. I suppose if this were your child or neighbor or best friend and you never saw anything like this coming then you would understand.
And when you yell at your husband or cut your hair or whatever, you are just “going off” or angry at the time, if you “snapped” or had a mental breakdown I doubt you would be able to write the intelligent message that you just did. It’s very easy to have tunnel vision when you have never worked with these type people or saw cases of real mental breakdown. In our society the problem is so many people fake the crazy act, it’s impossible for the public to know what the real situation is.
And guess what…….. you DO live in a world where you are at the mercy of others mood swings. Unless you stay in your home you are at risk, oh yeah and then there is home invastion so you would be at risk there too. Study our wonderful correctional system if you want to see why there is the problem that there is. Its a big money maker.

Well, Leon being on the outside of prison did not work did it! Correctional system as bad as it may be is the place he asked for. I have had a great deal of experience in my private life and work experence with mental illness.
Some people are just bad. To kill 5 people over any amount of time - even 1 day - should take away a persons right to EVER live in free society again.
Our justice system is letting more and more violent criminals out often due to appeals. The only way society can be sure of being safe from MURDERING armed robbers such as Leon is for him to RECEIVE death under the death penalty. I would be saying the same if it were my son or daughter.
I have a relative in prison for armed robbery (on drugs). If his victim had died, I would have wanted death for this realtive also.
I am sure you are well aware we posters here do not have the authority to actually damn your friend, relative to HELL! He will face his judgement day before the only ONE who counts. In the meantime, we can express our belief in where he belongs. It is only that - nothing more - so don’t take that so seriously. It helps us cope with the loss of innocent lives.
There are 5 lost here now. 4 hard working innocent people trying to earn an honest living for themselves and their families. What was Leon doing? Can you immagine the horror of those 2 ladies when that gasoline was being poured and the match lit. Can you immagine their pain.
But Leon is a good person, b,,,s,,,!
[Reply]
I have some recourse if that mood swing causes me harm–either in criminal or civil courts; or I can simply take myself out of situation. As for the correctional facilities, whatever flaws there may be–do you want to live in a world without such safeguards? I know I don’t.
Also, I grew up with a father who was a paranoid schizophrenic; I have seen a real “mental breakdown”. Talk to me when you have had to do a sweep of your house to check for listening devices, talk to me when your own father won’t come to your graduation because he thinks someone will follow him, talk to me when your own father sits sobbing in the middle of the floor asking god to help him understand what is going on. He wasn’t interested in hurting us or anyone else,he just wanted peace. My father didn’t just wake up with this one morning, it took years to fully develop. If this man “snapped”, and I am not fully convinced that he did, then I would bet your bottom dollar he was already prone to violence and cruelty.
Yes, there is a lot of “fake” crazy. One of the signs: when a person is cognizant enough to leave the scene and know he needs a lawyer.
[Reply]
One more thought, and then I will stop “trolling”.
In our society the idea of being “crazy” usually conjures up images of people like Mr. Davis and all the others featured on this site. But why are their acts considered “crazy”? Is it the violent nature of the crimes? Is it the cruelty involved? Are men who participate in Ultimate fighting, boxing, football or other sports “crazy”? Are those who tease and humiliate others on a regular basis “crazy”? Granted, the stories here are extreme examples of violence and cruelty; however, I don’t think most of these acts are because of mental illness or disease. Many of them happen because of plain old selfishness and lack of self control. Addicts have the capability of control their addictions; but for many it is too much work.
My point is that this doesn’t bode well for the many people who are mentally ill. It places a correlation between crime and mental illness that is unfair and places an even bigger stigma on those who really suffer with these issues.
If this were the case, that all people who do bad things are mentally ill, then isn’t it easy to jump to the conclusion that all mentally people are dangerous? This type of thinking is why funding for mental health care facilities is being cut so rapidly. If all mentally ill people are dangerous, than jails can serve the same purpose. The truth is there are a myriad of illnesses: bi-polar, agoraphobia, manic depression, schizophrenia, paranoia disorders, etc. that are not associated with violence.
I spent a lot of my teenage years lying to people about my fathers health. If people asked me why he was in the hospital so much: he has a bad heart, he had a bad back, etc and so forth. I hid it because of people associating mental illness as “scary” or “dangerous”. My father isn’t the only person I have known in my life to suffer this type of serious ailment; and none of them ever hurt anyone but themselves.
I am big on personal responsibility because I think too many people try to blame everyone else for their problems. I don’t blame anyone for what happened with my father. I learned a lot from him and, while it took some time, I have learned to embrace my experiences and to love my father.

This case is THE case that brought me to PYSIH, and after reading some of the posts on here, I am really concerned about the direction that we are going in…
No matter how we look at this case, Davis is a danger to society and must be either contained or executed. We have no control over whether or not he goes to hell…but we do have a right to set him on his journey there.
It doesn’t matter anymore what kind of father/husband/son/friend this man once was–he is clearly no longer a contributing member of our society. He steals to get what he needs and he kills for pleasure–what more can we say?
Is he mentally ill? Probably.
Is he responsible for his crimes? Most definitely.
Should he pay the ultimate price for his cruelty? Absolutely.
The crimes which he has committed go way beyond the scope of petty and harmless pranks. This man is a serious danger to all life, even his own, for God’s sake.
I do feel bad for those who love him; however, they must come to terms with their own feelings of betrayal and fear. A man who can willfully set a person on fire for no reason at all presents a danger even to those he professes to love. In his mind there are no boundaries left to cross, and in that sense, he is barely more than a rabid animal that happens to walk and talk like a man.
There is no cure, no medication that will bring back the Davis that some loved. He is gone forever–and for that person they may mourn. But then they must move on and make their peace with the world around them, and accept that which they cannot change.

Sorry, I refuse to believe that htose around him didn’t see this coming. A person doesn’t decide to jsut wake up one morning and decide, I’ll shoot two people in cold blood and set two others on fire. Karen-
I’m having a hard time understanding what your point is.
People who love to yap about how having a mental disorder somehow exonorates murderers always say the same thing. This is NOT the person I/we knew.
But, you gave it away a little when you said that his previous behaviour had not given you a CLUE that he was capable of this. Doesn’t mean that’s not who he was, or was capable of, just means he wasn’t going on murderous rampages back then.
People do NOT do things that they are not capable of doing, no matter the situation, or the excuse, such as mental disorders. If there is no doubt that this person in fact committed these crimes, then quite obviously he WAS capable all along of being able to do it. The fact that you did not know it does not mean that he did not do it, was not responsible for it, or that he is not the kind of person who does those kinds of things.
Telling sappy stories about how great the POS ‘used’ to be really has no importance now.
What matters is that now you DO know exactly what he is capable of, what kind of a person he is, and he is THIS person… not the one you remember when you did not really know everything about them.
But now that you do know WHO this person is, what are you going to do? Do you keep crawling back to a cheating spouse because BEFORE you knew they were capable of cheating you thought so well of them… even though now you now you misjudged who they REALLY are? And when your real friends and family tell you to dump them, do you tell them, but you don’t know the REAL person he is. I mean, was, before he showed me who he really is when he cheated on me?… or wouldn’t you feel a little stupid saying that?
The only question now is, are YOU the kind of person who likes, supports and defends POSs who kill and destroy other people’s families? Cuz that is exactly what this guy REALLY is. He’s shown his true face. Deal with it.

Hello.
As a Christian, I am appalled at the insensitivity of some of the posters who want to force others, and God, to grant forgiveness to this man. They are a poor witness and give Christians a bad reputation. They make us appear to be morons who are out of touch with reality. Talking about God’s love and forgiveness in moments like these only infuriates and causes unbelievers to not want to become Christians. I don’t blame them. It would be like someone coming up to you at your mother’s funeral service and demanding right then and there that you pay them the money that they had loaned her. Scriptures tells us in Ecclesiastes 3 that “there is a time for everything… a time to be silent and a time to speak…”
Jesus summed up obeying the Law by saying “love God and love your neighbor.” Knowing when to speak is one way of loving your neighbors, burning them alive is not, neither is shoving God’s ability to forgive at a time when people are hurt mentally by such an atrocity.
God is not only love, He is also just and He believes in punishment, even punishment specifically for burning people alive. Leviticus 20:2 “…any who gives any of his children to Molech (a man-made god that they would sacrifice their children to by throwing them in a fire) must be put to death.” This Scripture even goes on to say in vs 4&5 “If the people of the community close their eyes when that man gives one of his children to Molech and they fail to put him to death, I will set my face against that man and his family and will cut off from their people both him and all who follow in prostituting themselves to Molech.”
So much for this distorted view of God just looking the other way and winking at Leon and his atrocious actions. This kind of inaccurate portrayal of God as being all foofoo love does more harm than good for His kingdom. Please accept my apology to those who were offended, as I was, by the posters who did this.
Let me also point out the 6th and 8th commandments in Exodus 20:13&15 “You shall not murder… You shall not steal.” Notice that these are not followed by exceptions for mental illness. I certainly agree that anyone who kills another has mental issues. Duhhh! You can’t be in your right mind and think it’s ok to do that to someone. On that basis, every murderer should get off on insanity. Yeah something snaps when after pouring the gas and smelling it, you decide to continue with your insane plan and light the lighter. Is that supposed to make it ok? I’d like to snap once a month and not pay my mortgage payment due to insanity and it be ok! But it doesn’t work. I snap all the time and have these harebrained ideas come across my mind, to steal something, to jam my brakes on the tailgater behind me, to be a vigilante that kills someone like Leon, but I don’t act on these ideas, I snap out of it. I decide that the consequences are not worth it.
I believe the real culprit is not insanity, but the mentality of a society who glamorizes violence. It’s trendy to kill people, it gets you finally noticed after being just another nobody for so long. Individuals are desperate for recognition by others and the media provides this recognition to the most violent ones. Is it any wonder that school shootings are now common? Are any of those killers the popular kids? No, they already have the attention they need.
I don’t see any solution to these types of incidents. They are the product of a society who has believed lawyers instead of God. We have been beguiled, as it was the Emperor’s new clothes, to accept that criminals have “rights” Well why do you think that they were called “rights” in the first place???? You have rights when you act right. When you act “wrong”, you don’t have rights, you have wrongs. Rights are for those who do the right thing, not for criminals. Does that mean that society and government will automatically mistreat prisoners. Of course not, we’re in our right mind, remember. We can establish fair standards that fit the criminals, instead of these arrogant individuals demanding a country club atmosphere with all the amenities provided free of charge as punishment. Which, of course, lawyers will fight for so long as they get paid $200. an hr to do it. That’s greed, the other culprit that drives the country away from Godliness.
As the French journalist Alexis de Tocqueville stated a long time ago: “America will cease to be great when she ceases to be good.” Well guess what folks, America is not good any more and she has turned her back on God, the only source of Good. So what do you expect?

I was already cringing when you first brought up the ‘c’ word.
I was brought up in a massively BAC household, (and avid readers) so I can’t count how many times I’ve read the bible front to back. My a-father is a missionary, and very literate in several languages, as well as a fantastic preacher of all the books in the bible. I love listening to his lectures, but did not end up BAC myself as an adult.
That said, you have probably written one of the best BAC dissertations on a subject that I have heard in a long time. Your grasp of the bible as pertains to law/morals is commendable.
Even though I am not BAC, it offends me also that some people here rant about forgiveness, usually misquoting a bible verse. Those people usually express themselves through excessive use of profanity- a strange thing for people who are supposedly religious.
I think every point you made was dead-on as far as the bible’s take on these things.
Please, please, continue to post here.
Even though I do not share your religious beliefs, it is refreshing to read comments from someone credible, intelligent, who can resist the urge to manipulate the bible to promote beliefs not supported by the bible.
Thank you for an enjoyable read.

ofcourse your a friend of his desiree…but im sure if it was anyone else you would sure be judging away.this evil fucker IS going to hell were he belongs….
[Reply]
friend or foe he still, in cold blood, killed those people. some of which died immediately, others who were burnt, suffered, then died in the hospital. that really sucks.
What really sucks more is he isn’t going to feel any of the pain he caused these people. That’s thanks to our Constitution. I think people who do this, as well as raping, and neglecting children, deserve the same EXACT punishment that they inflict other people. But you know how that goes and it goes without saying that they won’t because it’s cruel and unusual punishment. yes cruel and unusual but when Leon did it to the victims it wasn’t. If he can inflict that torture he deserves to receive it.
It’s kinda like when a guy cheats on a girl and it’s not ok but when a girl does it it’s not ok.
Like I said it was ok when he did it but any punishment is gonna get a “I didn’t do it” or some other bullshit excuse.

Mandy,
Lake wales where this crime occurred is a VERY small town.

Id like to invite him to my place. I would turn him into swiss cheese before he even came through the door. A .454 caliber to the head and maybe 4 rounds of buck shot from my 12 gauge shotgun.

Quote “ofcourse your a friend of his desiree…but im sure if it was anyone else you would sure be judging away.this evil fucker IS going to hell were he belongs….” from mandy…
I love it. Oh I forgot one thing, I would probably get my steel baseball bat, and do some reconstructive engineering to his knees. I dont know if would kill him, I would probably think about sending him to Jigsaw, you know.. the guy from SAW. That my friends, would bring him to his torture and justice.
[Reply]
you’re kind of really weird man. too much thought into that one.
[Reply]
oh im soo sorry for offending you maam, but as a father of a NEW born and a husband, i assure you im very normal but HATE scum like this. yes its weird but, sorry he deserves to be tortured, you know, like how he killed this soon to be mother, so no that doesnt make me weird, it makes me vengeful which i would be. same goes to that John Couey piece of shit.
[Reply]
His final victim passed away yesterday. One can only hope she felt no pain. As to his friends, sorry but he deserves to burn in hell and die like the miserable piece of garbage that he is. He blew away two men who came to America in hopes of a better life and instead got killed. Two women got burned ALIVE and rest assured, there is almost no MORE PAINFUL WAY to die than that, and a fifth one never got to even see the world. Sorry but the only hting Leon needs now is a needle. End of story.

MANDY, YES I WAS A FRIEND OF HIS AND ACTUALLY WHETHER I KNEW HIM OR NOT I WOULD NOT JUDGE HIM BUT RATHER THE ACT HE COMMITTED. ABSOLUTLY WHAT HE DID WAS SICK, AND I DO FEEL FOR ALL THE VICTIMS. WHEN I LOOK AT THE TV EVERYDAY, I WONDER TO MYSELF WHY PEOPLE COMMIT THE CRIMES THEY DO. JUST LIKE I WONDER WHY LEON DID THIS! BUT I FIND IT RATHER SICK FOR ALL OF YOU TO WISH HELL ON SOMEONE! AND MANDY IF IT WERE YOUR FRIEND, FATHER, HUSBAND ECT. I BET YOU WOULDN’T WISH HELL ON HIM, NOW WOULD YOU? SO I FEEL THAT EVERYONE NEEDS TO STOP SAYING WHAT THEY WOULD DO TO LEON AND STOP TRYING TO SAY WHERE HIS SOUL WILL REST BECAUSE NONE OF YOU WILL EVER BE ABLE TO FUFILL YOUR SICK FANTASIES OF ACURING PAIN TO HIM AND NONE OF YOU ARE THE JUDGE WHO WILL LET HIM IN OR OUT OF THE GATES OF HEAVEN! GOD IS THE ONLY ONE WHO WILL DO THIS! AND 2 WRONGS DON’T MAKE A RIGHT. SO IF ALL YOU PEOPLE WERE TO GET A CHANCE TO HARM LEON, MAYBE YA’LL WOULD BE IN HELL TOO! EVER THINK OF THAT? SO START WORRYING ON HOW TO BETTER YOURSELF AND MAKE SURE THAT YOU GET TO HEAVEN! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Amy reply on August 19th, 2008:
Next your going to tell us that it was not Leon who shot innocent people…its was THE GUN!
See, Leon is innocent! And he is AMAZING!
And the GUN should be the one on trial.
You are a moron. His act was sick. He is sick. And you are sick for making excuses for him.
[Reply]
Sorry, I don’t read messages that consist entirely of shouting. As for religion, this is one of my problems with it. He can say he’s sorry, god forgives him, it’s all good, he can get into heaven despite murdering five people in cold blood. That to me is a load of crap. Leon deserves hell. If it was my family member, I don’t know what I would do. But I would have a hard time being able to talk to someone who killed five people, regardless of who they were to me.

Put down this human garbage! All law abiding citizens must arm themselves. It’s a tragedy to exist like this, however it’s our current’s day reality.
It makes me so mad when law abiding citizens can’t even go and do an honest day work, to make an honest paycheck, without scum and loosers like this guy coming and taking what they have no right to.
This waste of space and human waste has not only robbed the insurance office, he took honest and hard working women’s life. They were somone’s mother, sister, daughter, wife, etc. Why should he be entitled to a trial? He didn’t afford his victims a chance to defend themselves or get away. He tortured them and left them to die in a slow, painful way.
GIVE HIM THE SAME OPPORTUNITIES HE GAVE THESE POOR WOMEN AND BE DONE WITH IT!!!!

DESIREE you are sad. You mean to tell me he does not deserve “hell”???????!?!!!?!? He doused a pregnant of 6 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not to mention the other innocent people who wre killed by him. Who gives a shit if you knew him big deal. i knew a few people that are in jail atm for stuff, and one that i knew back in high school is on death row. this piece of human excrement will get justice. Death is good for him, but being put in general population in a state prison and get the shit beat out of him, then the death injection.
Kdogg and marsha im on your side all the way. Give this trash the electric chair!!!!

I have a friend who is a Nationwide agent here in central Florida. When I stopped by their office today I heard about this horrible crime for the first time. They told me they heard Leon was mad at Nationwide for non-renewing his insurance coverage. I am wondering why none of the news stories I read have mentioned this as a motive for the crime? Seems odd they would leave out this detail if it is true. Did anyone else hear this?
Anyway….Leon deserves a fair trial and severe punishment when found guilty as charged (which is obvious). It’s too bad that our criminal justice system’s punishment isn’t much more harsh on the criminals who are found guilty. I think we could reduce the violent crime rate in this country if we made the guilty criminals pay a much higher price for their crimes, especially the sick violent crimes like this one. It would be nice if the victims or family of the victims could choose the punishment for people like this!
I personally would choose to have him set on fire, then shot….sound familiar? As far as heaven or hell goes, I think someone else said it correctly….It’s God’s decision.

AMEN to you! Pierre, Glorybug & DESIREE - And any other sane person on here that I have missed. Desiree keep your head up and we will keep praying for him, and of course the families of those hurting so badly. No one can understand like we do because we know him…
I can absolutely understand why people are so upset about this terrible thing, but people - please! What good is your ranting and ravings without some positive action from you to help this situation? And you wanting to kill only makes you the same as anyone else you condem. God help you.

TO UNDERSTANDING. WHEN JUDGEMENT DAY COMES HE WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF!!!!!!!!!!
YOU DONT JUST KILL PEOPLE AND SAY IT WAS A MISTAKE. WHEN YOU MAKE A MISTAKE YOU LEARN FROM THEM YOU DONT CONTINUE TO DO WHAT YOU DID THAT MADE IT A MISTAKE. JUST THINK IT COULD HAVE BEEN YOU!!! IF THE INTENTIONS WERE THERE NOW THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THERE. DONT MAKE EXCUSES FOR HIM FACE REALITY HE IS A COLD BLOODED MURDERER AND THAT WILL BE HIS TITLE UNTIL ETERNITY. YVONNE IS WAS HIS FRIEND AND HIS BROTHERS FRIEND. ALL I KEEP HEARING FROM PEOPLE IS HOW OUT OF CHARACTER IT WAS FOR HIM. UH DUH LOOK AT HIS CRIMINAL BACK GROUND. HIS CHARACTER IS WHAT IT IS AND IS WHAT IT ALWAYS HAS BEEN. LEON DAVIS IS A KILLER AND THATS NOT JUDGING ITS THE TRUTH AND HE PROVED IT TO THE WORLD…..

well ive met mr davis and i hope he gets to hell on the express elevator and when he gets there i hope hitler shoves a pineapple up his ass! yvonne and jane were some of the nicest people ive ever known and an unborn child? yes he deserves hell 100 times over

I agree with you Karen. Killing Leon would no more make sense than him killing the people he did. Maybe he is a really good guy down inside. But then again so were the fine people he killed. I have never been one for capital punishment. However I am a firm believer in “an eye for an eye” and a “tooth for a tooth”. You know ole Leon probably never really meant for anyone to die when he shot them in the head or caught them on fire. He never really thought that getting shot in the nose would have been so traumatic. So no, to just put him to death would absolutely not be justified. He needs to be doused with gasoline, lit on fire, have his nose blown off and shot in the head twice JUST LIKE HE DID TO HIS VICTIMS. As far as Im concerned December 2007 got him the one way ticket, front row seat #A1 on the HELL EXPRESS !!!!!!
[Reply]
Don’t worry, this POS will never make it to death row. He is being beat daily I know. The prison has a way of dealing with a POS like this. Just think they have all the means to do to him what he did to these girls. A head will turn, gas will spill, and a lighter will light. In prison there are many gangs, none of them will put up with this kind of scum. BURN ON EARTH, THEN IN HELL!!!!!!!! I wish I were there to see it. I would also like to see how many peoples bitch he will be before it happens. AND IT WILL!!!!!!!!!

I have known Leon for several years. When I first met him I thought he was a very nice guy but as I got to know him I quickly realized that he was the typical FAKER! He would be oh so nice and fake to your face but behind closed doors he was a complete A**hole! Leon kept a very secret life of lies, cheating and stealing that not even people very close to him knew about. Whether his friends or family will admit to it. To the normal person he was a VERY NICE guy but to the people who truly knew him he was a jerk and always wanted to be or have better than those around him. I believe that people more or less tolerated him because at times he could be a really nice guy. With all that said “no” I would not think that he would have been capable of these crimes but he did them. No matter how much I liked or disliked him I do believe that he should burn in hell. NO person deserves to be burned alive or shot like cattle for a little bit of money because Leon wanted to have all the finer things in life that he couldn’t afford.
