Here’s 60-year-old John Stelmack.
John Stelmack has been in the education field for quite some time, most recently as a principal, going from school to school, being hired here and resigning there.
He resigned from the Olean, NY school district on the 24th of November, 2004.
From the minutes of the meeting where John Stelmack’s resignation was accepted:
Moved by G. Zimmerman, seconded by M. Fay upon the recommendation of Mark J. Ward, Superintendent of Schools, to accept the resignation of JOHN STELMACK, with regret, as an Elementary Principal at East View, effective November 24, 2004.

In 2006, John Stelmack resigned as the principal of Ellicott Elementary in Buffalo, New York, just one day after a bus driver working at the school was arrested for going to child porn sites on the Internet.
Is it unusual for school districts to hire principals who hop from place to place?
Apparently not.
Scott Lake Elementary, down in Lakeland, Florida, had no problem hiring John Stelmack. While they performed a background check on Mr. Stelmack, they failed to completely follow school policy when they neglected to review his complete personnel records.
While running a background check on any new hire is an excellent idea, when you’re talking about hiring someone who will have daily access to and responsibility for children, you’d better go the extra mile.
Especially if you’re dealing with someone like John Stelmack, who carried a black suitcase with him to work each day. A black suitcase filled with child porn.
After hearing complaints from a number of parents of students at Scott Lake Elementary that John Stelmack was being a little too friendly with some of their kids, the Polk County School Board suspended John Stelmack on the 14th of December, which also happened to be the day that his briefcase was seized by investigators going through Stelmack’s office.
Investigators going through John Stelmack’s briefcase found out that he didn’t just stop at downloading kiddie porn from the Internet, or trading CD’s and DVD’s of child porn with other pedophiles.
No, John Stelmack actually created his own child porn by taking pictures of children who attended his school and digitally superimposing their faces onto the nude images of other children that he had in his possession.
One of the children he took pictures of, a 10-year-old girl who had attended his school last year, was on four of the pictures he carried with him in his briefcase on the day he was suspended. Another girl, who has yet to be identified, had her face put onto another nude child’s body.
The pictures John Stelmack chose to put his student’s faces on were slightly disturbing to just about everyone who saw them.
John Stelmack was arrested at his home on the 21st of December, 2007 and charged with five counts of possessing child pornography.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd had this to say about the pictures and the whole affair in general:
The photographs that Stelmack manipulated into child pornography are graphic and repulsive. To think that a school principal, someone who is entrusted with the safety and well-being of hundreds of school children, would do something like this is incomprehensible.
Yeah, it is a little scary.
Of course, when you think about it, elementary school principal is right up there near the top of the “Pedophile’s top 10 Dream Jobs of 2007″ list.
The rest of the list?

After posting bail, John Stelmack, who is married with two grown children, told reporters that the arrest was “a mistake.”
Of course it was.
If you’re wondering if anyone you know or if anyone who is living near you has a history of criminal sexual behavior, the National Alert Registry is an excellent way to find out. There are over 375,000 registered sex offenders living in the United States - it might be a good idea to find out if one is living near you.

Every time I hear about these people I want to puke and cry at the same time. Cry at the fact children have their innocence and spirit destroyed and puking at the fact these guys do it so many times without getting caught. Here’s hoping the next education he gets is a kick in the head.

When I was in grade school, it was right-e-o to allow teachers and principals to spank.
My principal, Mr Blackwell, spanked me quite often, because I was obviously a fairly naughty child. He used his hand, or a paddle.
Somehow I never grew up to be a murderer.
But then, Mr Blackwell did not have a briefcase with pedo pics in it, or pics of my head superimposed on naked pedo pics. Maybe only because there were no computers back then? Who knows.
It seems technology keeps pace with the crimes people WANT to do.

I hope I hope I hope. fuck. it drives me absolutely crazy that really, we have no impact whatsoever and it fucking sucks. Like there’s the scum bags left and right and people like us who can’t stand them and can’t do anything about it. Then there’s the situations where you’ll never know where these people stand and what not. It’s like how can you pick these people out? you can’t and it fuckin sucks!!

Glory, I’m sure it went back on then too, with whatever was avaible at the time. The only difference now is technology and the fact people are talking about it, realizing that’s it the pedo’s fault and not the victims

I guess it’s time we stop giving out all these recommendation letters in order to “get rid” of someone who isn’t doing their job properly, acting inappropriately or simply a jerk…and stop with all the defamation of charachter lawsuits!
If ONE superintendent would’ve said it like it was (that would’ve been MARK WARD from OLEAN, NY) and gave him the “review” he deserved…he wouldn’t have (or shouldn’t have) been given another job working with children…but all these administrative “geniuses” are worried about their own reputations first…and not wanting to have a lawsuit…If this idiot would have brought a lawsuit against the Olean School District, they could have paraded EVERY teacher that worked for the man and they would have realized the guy needed to be incarcerated immediately! The teachers went to every administrator they could and were told they were foolish and on a witch hunt to get rid of Stelmack in the Olean schools…Who’s really at fault?? Let’s get everyone involved!!!
