Samuel Chamberlain and Kankamon Sukchuen
This is 19-year-old Samuel Chamberlain and his paramour, 19-year-old Kankamon Sukchuen.
In June of 2006, Samuel Chamberlain and Kankamon Sukchuen became parents for the first time after discovering the joy of pre-marital sex together.
Being the psychopathic individuals that they are, shortly after the delivery, Samuel Chamberlain and Kankamon Sukchuen also discovered the joy of torturing their newborn baby boy.
Yes, while most mothers are learning how to breastfeed and most fathers are learning to change diapers, this pair was learning how to inflict an obscene amount of damage on a helpless baby.

Well, how about both of the baby’s thigh bones being snapped?

Spinal fractures caused by slamming the baby onto a hard surface?
Check.
Multiple rib fractures caused by squeezing the baby?
Check.
Blood coming from the baby’s eyes, caused by someone squeezing the baby’s body?
Check.
Right forefinger broken from being forced back until it snapped?
Check.
Metaphyseal fractures caused by twisting the baby’s wrists, twisting above and below the baby’s knees and above the baby’s left ankle?
Check.
Cuts to the baby’s tongue and ulceration caused by shoving a very hot object into the baby’s mouth?
Check.
The injuries were inflicted upon this baby for it’s first 50 days of life, and would have continued until it was dead if it wasn’t for the fact that someone noticed that the baby was in pretty bad shape. That person demanded that the baby boy be taken to the hospital or that the police would be called.
Samuel Chamberlain’s attorney had this to say in his defense:
From any angle it is a tragic case. The defendants look more like children themselves and the offences against this baby were extremely serious. My client accepts that he caused at least some of the injuries but does not accept that he was solely to blame. He pleaded guilty on the basis he didn’t intend to cause the injuries.

Kankamon Sukchuen’s attorney told the court:
She failed in that primary duty to protect her son. She did voice concerns and worries but she did not alert anyone to the fears or concerns she must have had and had no idea of the extent of those injuries.
Her attorney insisted that Ms. Kankamon Sukchuen had not caused any of the injuries to her boy herself and hadn’t seen any injuries being inflicted on the child. Kankamon was worried about the baby, however, and did have some suspicions.
Perhaps the suspicions were caused by injuries that were “the most extensive ever seen” by a consultant radiologist in his 19 years of expertise, which would have caused the boy to scream in pain?
Samuel Chamberlain and Kankamon Sukchuen’s cases weren’t helped any by the fact that they both lied constantly to emergency services as well as the police, explaining their son’s injuries by saying that they’d seen him get his hand caught in a door and poking himself in his eyes.
The Judge, The Honorable Mr. Justice Butterfield, gave the pair a stern talking to:
These were horrific offenses and cases of this kind require the court to mark the wickedness of acts of violence to defenseless children by imposing condign punishment on those who perpetrate them and those who stand by and do nothing. You were both unsuited to look after a child and both of you were concerned more with self-interest than the health and well-being of the defenseless little mite you brought into the world.
The Judge, who must have been either smoking something illegal or drinking heavily before he walked into his courtroom to pronounce sentence, gave Samuel Chamberlain at least 3 1/2 years in youth custody, after which he will possibly be released on parole.
Kankamon Sukchuen? Oh, she was given four years, which she will also spend in youth custody.

They should be sterilized and the judge should be disbarred. I swear to all that is holy, folks like this should not be allowed to EVER reproduce. I don’t care who did what, the bottom line is that baby went through more torture than a terrorist at Gitmo. And can I just say that had I found this child, I wouldn’t have given the “parents” the option of taking him to the hospital OR I would call the police. I would call the police, wait for them to arrive, and go with the child to the hospital whilst the “parents” were being processed at the station.
SARAH, I am definately on the same exact page as you… forced sterilization is definately a good idea for pieces of shit like this.. the judge must be a baby beater himself or something to let them off so easy, eh, maybe we’ll get lucky and hear about some vigilante attacking them in a few years when they get out of juvie… btw, juvie at 19? their old enough to have a baby but they go to kiddie prison?! makes no sense because in the country I live in, I thought 18 was the legal age, I guess I have been lied to all these years…

Oh my… this is by far the worst case I’ve read on child abuse and possibly the worst sentence. How the hell do two people who are legally adults get into youth custody and for 4 or less years?

Considering the good judge is all the way on the other side of the pond, it’s a little harder to track him down.
Although calling 0117 976 3030 and asking for him might work. That’s the number for the Bristol Crown Court, where he presided over the case.

It really pisses me off to hear stories like this. Especially when you have fully capable human beings out there who have tried to conceive children and can’t. People who want nothing more than to care for and love a child, but just can’t. Then you get idiots like these two who have the privelage and honor to bring a miracle into the world, and make the first 50 days of its life a living hell. Oh but apparently thats ok…we’ll only give them a few years in jail to sit and think about what they’ve done. So sad. These 2 should never ever be allowed to reproduce again.

How about court-ordered sterilization. If it isn’t legal to do this to these types of people, then it should be — to protect future innocents who are unlucky enough to have these people as parents. We have a National Sex Offender Registry, how about a National Registry for people who should never be around children (or even other humans) again. This is horribly evil.

Ah the good ol british justice system eh? See why we have such faith in our laws, judges, mp’s etc…? Best place in the civilised world to kick the living shit out of your kids and get away with it! Loula… the Brits REALLY REALLY need to do something about that legal system. Are all the judges high? Because the punishments don’t seem to fit the crime. 19 is an adult. Why youth facilities?? And the idea that they might get that baby back… I think I may vomit.
Hi alanna… I really wish i knew what the hell was up with our judges… Its long been felt that most of them are either senile and or totally out of touch with reality. The main problem appears to be judicial precedent, it does to a degree tie the hands of a judge with regard to previous similar cases providing sentencing guidelines for current ones… Its a crock of shit basically, even the baby peter case which horrified the world, resulted in pretty lenient sentences when you compare them to some of the similar cases you see on here that have happened in the USA, the general consensus amongst the people here is we would prefer a tougher sentencing system, eg- a life term here can mean as little as 15yrs and almost always allows parole. I’m no expert on the law but its laughable at best and until some serious changes are made, the rapists and killers will continue to laugh in the faces of victims and their families… Justice in britain? There is no justice and these two POS’s are a good example… ;(
Ps… Forgot to mention about youth custody, here youth custody applies till your 21years of age, until then your classed as a young offender, ten months after your 21st birthday you would be moved to an adult jail or onto an adult wing as some jails house both young offenders and adults… I’ve no idea which bright sparks make these decisions, but thats why the two perps in this case would be treated as young offenders, as far as i know there is no exception to the rule either, whereas i have seen in some cases on these pages that young people in the States have been tried as adults due to the nature of the crime. Sadly, i doubt that would happen here, as i said though, i’m no expert so i may be wrong, but in my humble opinion, our justice system is rotten to the core, and between our justice system and our pussy welfare system we have allowed the underclass to thrive, honest and decent people are penalised throughout their lives in favour of the scum of society… We need change, will we get it? I doubt it.
