Of course, when you break into someone's house you're invading someone's personal space and taking someone's personal possessions, not simply choosing to benefit from an illegal activity that someone else has already made available (e.g. pirate videos and music downloads). So people who break into someone's house and steal stuff are scumbags. Do they deserve to be shot? No. Arrested, yes. Even beat up, sure. But Joe Horn saw an opportunity to be Charles Bronson. He knew that a 60 year old, law-abiding white man would never get in serious trouble for blowing two Hispanic thugs off the face of the Earth. I understand the emotions that rise up when one is victimized. But, objectively, is jewelry, stereo equipment or money worth killing someone over? No, never. Joe Horn knew that and didn't care. He was too excited at the prospect of fulfilling his fantasy of killing a human being and not getting in trouble. The men stealing the property were scumbags.
