Behind The Scenes At People You’ll See In Hell
As you may have noticed, PYSIH.com has been up and down all morning.
This is because too many people are coming here for the server we’re hosted on to handle. According to our stats, we had over 180 people online at the same time today before BlueHost decided that we were using up too many resources on their server and shut us down for a bit.
People You’ll See In Hell needs a dedicated server. Badly. Shared hosting just isn’t cutting it.
Maybe one day, when money falls from the sky and chocolate drops grow on trees.
On the brighter side, People You’ll See In Hell will shortly be sporting a new theme.
This time, we’ve gone out and hired someone else to program it for us, so hopefully your retinas won’t be burned out as soon as they land on our site.
So far, the design has been met with nods and cheers, except for one asshole who will remain unnamed. He thinks we should go grey.
That one guy is also trying to convince us to get a dedicated server.
Of course he’s refusing to pay for our divorces should said server charges appear on our credit card bills.
Thanks for reading. I’m going to Costco now.

What are you buying at Costco? And who won your contest??!!
i heart PYSIH. i hope you get your server soon. it’s tough being popular.
in the mean time, let me know when money falls from trees.
I am curious about this.
once again the down side of popularity is showing it’s ugly face……
if this had happened a couple years ago, i would’ve been happy to host part of the site myself, but i don’t have that kind of network or bandwidth anymore these days.
Check out 1and1.com they have some good deals on hosting and servers.
what do you need in the way of a dedicated server? Is this a hosting requirement?
We mostly need something that can handle the amount of people we serve (on most days, it’s not a problem).
As we grow – and we’re almost doubling our readership monthly – we’re going to have more and more outages due to overages on CPU usage. Bluehost will cut you off if you use more than 20% or so, and that happens when we get between 100-180 people on at the same time.
Costco? I knew i loved this site for a reason. Your site is the absolute besr and what else can be said about Costco.
admin,
I may have the place for you….

I have to say, I am addicted to this site. It’s kinda sad. I spend more time on this site at work because I’ve got nothing to do then I spend doing other things. It can’t go away!!
