Funny, Marcos Gomez-Romero doesn’t sound like he’s Chinese.
Some of the worst members of certain third-world cultures just might vote him into the club as an honorary member, however, after hearing about what 28-year-old Marcos Gomez-Romero did to his daughter during the four months she was alive.
Good ol’ Marcos was upset, you see. He was mad that his wife had given him a daughter instead of a son.
While some people have a preference as to which gender they’d prefer their new infant to be, usually the reasoning behind the notion is due to a desire to balance out the sexes in the household, especially if a family is churning out girl after girl or boy after boy.
This wasn’t the situation with Marcos Gomez-Romero.
His wife, Juana Rodriguez, had already given him a 2-year-old boy, after all.
That wasn’t good enough for Marcos, however.
And so he took it out on the little girl.
While little Ariana Lizeth Rodriguez-Romero lived, every time Marcos saw her, he got more and more upset.
Shortly after she was born, Marcos Gomez-Romero got into the nasty habit of abusing her.
Abusing his little girl quickly became an everyday kind of thing for him.
At first, he would just call her names.
Later on, Marcos Gomez-Romero would slap her for absolutely no reason, on the ribs while she was sleeping, or on the head while he was carrying her - whenever the notion occurred to him, really.
As Marcos Gomez-Romero’s abuse became more and more obvious, his wife threatened to call the police. In response, Marcos Gomez-Romero told his wife that if she ever called the cops, he’d leave her before they ever showed up and take his 2-year-old son with him.
And so the abuse continued unchecked.
The beatings took their toll on the little girl, who finally succumbed after a final savage beating from her father and died on Christmas Day of 2007.
Marcos Gomez-Romero had no problem with what he had done, explaining to the investigating officers that he never wanted a daughter, that he wanted a son, and that every time he saw the girl, he would hate her more and more.
Doctors who examined Ariana Lizeth Rodriguez-Romero’s corpse found that the girl had endured some rather severe injuries, including fractured ribs, a bruised liver, a ruptured spleen and a hemorrhage in her left eye.
On the 10th of January, 2007, Marcos Gomez-Romero was indicted by a grand jury on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse.

I’m with Holly. I was a timid little thing before I had my first, but after that this fierce urge to protect him from everything enveloped me. I just can’t understand how a mother could sit by and watch her baby get slowly beaten to death. I think she should share the blame with that SOB. There is nothing more important then your children, and a mother should be willing to do everything she can to protect them!

As for why baby’s mother isn’t up for Hell- this has come up before on here. I have worked as a volunteer helping people break free of their abusive relationships. People who are abused for long periods of time can’t reason like you or me. Their brains don’t function anywhere near normally. It’s like asking why the frog doesn’t jump out of the pot of water that starts cold and is slowly raised to boiling. And yes I have a son that I would do ANYthing to protect. I can’t imagine letting someone hurt him in the slightest. But although I can’t empathize with an abused parent, I can sympathize.
And you’d better believe that if this guy was abusing his daughter, he had been abusing his wife for some time.

Still this mother should get charged as having some role in the death of her baby, and we should have an option to vote to send her to hell. Don’t get me wrong I feel badly for victims of domestic abuse, but as a mother she had the responsibility to protect her child and she failed because it seems she cared more about covering her own ass or saving her marriage or whatever selfish reason she had. There could have been shelters for domestic abuse victims in the area that she could have gone with her kids or she could could have taken the kids somewhere and called the police on this guy. I’m sorry but I can’t feel too badly for her.

i think i can understand why the mother didn’t take action, obviously the dad formly believes women are pretty much useless aside from washing, cleaning, cooking and giving birth, i wouldn’t be supprised that he let his wife believe the exact same thing.
Of course i don’t know the mother, so it’s a guess really, but it sounds quite plausible to me.

It may just be because I have never been in an abusive relationship, but I don’t get why someone would allow their child to be tortured to death right before their eyes. OK, so this charming gentleman threatened to take away her son. It isn’t as though he threatened bodily harm. What prevented her from taking both children to a safe house or her family and then going to the authorities? Were they here illegaly? Please don’t get me wrong, I understand cultural differences. I live in DC which, if you’ve ever spent any time here, is one of the most culturally diverse places in the country. Still, the mother recognized that what was happening to her little girl was wrong so that pretty much throws cultural influence out the window. Let me be clear, this guy deserves to be thrown into the general prison population and taught a little something about natural inferiority, but the mother is just as culpable. She may not have physically killed her daughter, but her inaction murdered her just as surely as if she had shot her point blank.

More people posted comments about the child’s mother than the actual P.O.S murderer. While, I do partially blame the mother for not taking action, I’m going to stick to the story. Marcos absolutely deserves hell, and anyone who votes no, is heartless. This child didn’t have a chance to experience life just because she was a female. Its sad and I hope that Marcos gets everything he deserves. I really hate reading stuff like this, because I know a wonderful couple that have been trying to have a baby for years and they just can’t. They are thinking about adoption. They want a child to love more than anything in the world, and Marcos had a perfectly normal, healthy child and killed her. What an idiot. I hate him and hope he rots in prison and then burns in hell for eternity.

As a man, I was in a mentally abuseive relationship - my X would always tell me “I’ll call the cops and who do you think they’ll believe…”
But even with all her bullshit, she realized that there was a line that she dare not cross.
So I appreciate how the abused person does not function like the “normal” person, but I also know that even the meekest of aniamls have some instincts to protect their young.
Thus little Ariana woud have had a better chance at life if her mother was a German Sheppard or even a Poodle - the mother would have fought to protect her baby.

I was in a very abusive relationship. I got out when I found out I was pregnant as I did not want my child raised in that environment. Abuse is no excuse for that kind of behavior. If you don’t have a strong urge to protect your child, then there is something very wrong with you IMO.

I am in a real bad mood today.
Though my daughter is the one that put me in it, I know that she is being both manipulated and as a result being manipulative - survival.
What this POS did to an innocent defenseless baby, is something that even I could not do to him. I do not think that I could torture someone for that long, even in this mood.
But I guess I am in the mood to make him a human pinata and maybe I’ll stop when a few teeth fall to the ground - so there’ll be enough of him left for the next person to enjoy!

The mother is just as culpable - abuse or not. She chose that lifestyle, Ariana never did.
This man is worthless garbage. But just for some fun - I think he should be forced to wear fluffy pink dresses and makeup every day for the rest of his miserable life.
