  • Corey Deen Saunders

Corey SaundersWe here at People You’ll See In Hell are going to let you in on a little secret that not many professionals in the fields of corrections, psychiatry or social services would like to admit.

Despite the best intentions, despite the hard work of educated, caring individuals who try to rehabilitate and steer these people in the right direction, some people are just…broken.

People like 26-year-old Corey Deen Saunders.

Corey Deen Saunders has had a hard life, don’t get me wrong.

Mildly retarded with attention deficit disorder, Corey Saunders was molested when he was a boy by his older sister, who had been molested by her father. When Corey Saunders was nine, his mother told him that she didn’t want him anymore.

Corey Deen SaundersWhen Corey Saunders was twelve, he wandered away from his house, taking his teddy bear with him. He was found roaming the streets fourteen hours after he’d left his house, still carrying the stuffed animal.

Yes, Corey Deen Saunders’ story is as sad a story as you’ll ever hear. As you’ve seen before, however, a victim can turn into a predator, and at that point society’s sympathy goes right out the window.

The Department of Social Services took charge of Corey Deen Saunders in 1994 and put him into a youth treatment center.

From the very beginning, Corey Saunders gave hints that he had…problems. Corey Saunders really liked younger boys, mostly between the ages of six and twelve. He’d make excuses to hang out with them, to get involved in their activities and so on. As time passed, Corey Saunders’ behavior became more overtly sexual, with Corey making remarks to boys that he lived with that were decidedly sexual in nature. In 1996, Corey Saunders admitted to social workers that he was having regular fantasies about the younger boys who were living in close proximity.

Stetson SchoolCorey Deen Saunders’ sexual acting out continued until the youth treatment center couldn’t handle it anymore and in February of 1997, Corey was transferred to the Stetson School, which is a school that specializes in handling kids with serious psychological problems.

The only problem with that was that the Stetson School couldn’t really influence Corey Saunders’ behavior. He didn’t want to change. Corey still displayed sexual behavior towards boys his age and younger, being caught at one point rubbing another boy’s leg against the other boy’s will. He stole underwear and hoarded it.

Corey Deen Saunders told social workers that he had about 400 sexual fantasies a day that involved younger students, and at one point told workers at the school that he had thought about and planned out the act of raping and murdering one particular 10-year-old boy.

In April of 1999, Corey Deen Saunders tried to convince a 12-year-old boy to have sex with him. This hadn’t been the first time Corey Saunders tried to talk a younger kid into sex, but it was the first time that he’d been aggressive about it. Corey Saunders had also begun to display a very strong attraction to another 12-year-old boy who also lived at the home.

Governmental institutions move slowly, but in September of 1999, Stetson School administrators decided that Corey Saunders probably shouldn’t be around children and arranged for his transfer to a treatment facility in North Carolina where there weren’t any children around for Corey to make passes at. While the paperwork for the transfer was being worked on, Corey Saunders was moved to the Top East emergency shelter in Taunton where he stayed for several months.

Evidently the Top East shelter didn’t agree with Corey, as he escaped two days before the new year on the 30th of December, 1999 and was found a few hours later by police as he walked barefoot along the streets of Taunton.

A quick call to the Department of Social Services led the police to deliver Corey Saunders to a foster home in Attleboro, without giving the woman who ran the foster home a hint of the type of mental problems that the young man had.

So it should come as no surprised to People You’ll See In Hell readers that seven hours after arriving at this woman’s home, Corey Deen Saunders was caught sexually assaulting her 7-year-old son. Interestingly enough, Corey Saunders molested this boy in the foster home living room while the boy’s mother was only a few feet away in another room. Remember

Corey Deen Saunders’ improper guest behavior was enough for charges of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 and attempted rape and abuse of a child under 16 to be brought against him and in November of 2000, Corey Saunders pled guilty and received four years and one day in prison, with a 12 year probation on top of that.

Corey served his time and got out.

With a Level 3 sexual offender designation, no job prospects and no future, Corey Saunders wandered about Massachusetts for a while, moving to the town of New Bedford in January of 2008 and staying in a succession of homeless shelters.

New Bedford Public LibraryOn the 30th of January, 2008, Corey Deen Saunders’ wanderings took him to the New Bedford Public Library, a large and majestic edifice that has an extensive collection of children’s books.

While on the second floor of the New Bedford Public Library, Corey Deen Saunders came across a six-year-old boy. This boy had come to the library with his mother, who was working on a computer about 10 feet away from the children’s reading room that her son was in.

If I was a mother, I would probably expect that my child would be safe in a children’s reading room that was 10 feet away from where I was working. I would also probably pay attention when I saw a guy who looks like Corey Deen Saunders walk into that room, but maybe he was walking on his tiptoes. Corey looks like a ninja, after all.

After sneaking into the room with the 6-year-old boy, Corey Deen Saunders sexually molested the child, fondling and performing oral sex on the kid. After Corey Saunders had finished with what he wanted to do, a librarian came across the two together and for some reason Corey stuck in the librarian’s mind as Corey left the room.

A quick search on the internet and a little reading produced Corey’s picture and an article about how he’d been in prison, and what he was in prison for. The cops were called and Corey Deen Saunders was arrested a short distance from the library.

Corey was charged with indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, rape of a child under 16 (second offense) and enticing a child under 16.

Lieutenant Jeffrey Silva spoke at a press conference, telling the press that Corey Saunders should never have been released and that what happened as a result of Corey Saunders walking freely among us was a “horrible human tragedy.”

Sadly, Corey Saunders’ assault on the 6-year-old boy wasn’t the first time that a registered sexual offender had been arrested at the New Bedford Public Library.

In September of 2004, a convicted child molester and another homeless man were arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping after an 11-year-old boy told authorities that one of the men had pointed at him and told the other man to “snatch him.”

Perhaps the New Bedford Public Library will now consider investing in a sign that states “Sexual Offender Zone - please watch your children.”

Keep in mind - New Bedford alone has over 50 registered level 3 sexual offenders living within city limits and it’s not a particularly big town. Wouldn’t you like to know if someone like Corey Deen Saunders was living in your neighborhood, so you could take the precautions and steps required to protect yourself and your family?

For just $4.95 a month, you can get instant access to the most complete database of registered sexual offenders, along with real-time updates delivered right to your e-mail when offenders move in and out of your neighborhood.

If you decide to sign up with the National Alert Registry, you’ll also receive a complete child ID kit with everything you need to provide the FBI in the event your child is missing, including a detailed description, finger printing records, and medical concerns. The National Alert Registry includes that kit free with your activation.

As always, if you’re dissatisfied with the National Alert Registry, you can cancel at any time.

Wow, that is disgusting. I can’t believe what these kind of people see in little boys. I am glad he got caught though.

(My little brother was 5 years old when he had a 15 year make him suck his wang in a locker room at a pool. My little brother told a lot of people about it, but the 15 year old didn’t get into any trouble because he was mentally handicapped.)

I look back on that almost every day and it just makes me sooo mad! Seriously, what goes through these peoples minds!??! Do they not know what they are doing to these children and what it could do to them down the road!?!?

America is not to blame for this.

What happens is that when we have people that are poor or homeless, it is going to cause problems in our society. Poverty is a really big part if a lot of these peoples lives and it causes people to steal, kill, rape, etc..I don’t care what anyone says, it happens everywhere!

PEOPLE ARE PEOPLE! Stuff happens all the time.

Sad to say but with his retardation and childhood, there is no hope for him. Keep him locked up, for his own safety and more importanely, for the safety of children. Can w eput the judge who ignored the three different docters who said he was too dangerous to be released on there as well?

Put him down. I think ANYONE who rapes or molests a child should be put to death. Don’t coddle these sickos. If you commit a crime against a child, you commit a crime against society. Potentially, you create another child rapist. This is a case in point.

Look at all the closed asylums in Mass - there are plenty of sites that ;ist them. Kirkbridebuildings.com is one of my favorites - looking atthe architecture ofthese buildings. Backof the envelope calculations, te Commonpoor (It’s no longer a Commonwealth) of Massachusetts could easily hold over 20,000 people in asylums!

That is why “the good old days” were so good. Let us NOT forget that if it was not for the Internet, most of us would have never kown about this pervert because the main stream press wants to create the illusion that everything is under control regarding these pervs.

While I feel Corey deserves hell now for what he did, locked away in an old Kirkbride Building high on a hill with proper supervision, he’d either be locked in a cage of kept busy and away from society.

Like I have stated in previous posts, society today waits until someone becomes a criminal before taking any action. Had Corey been locked away in an institution and labeled “broken”, he’d be one less statistic in the “correctional system” (read as we don’t punish any more) and there’d be one less victim in the workd today.

Did asylums cost a lot? Yes, but the prison system was smaller, and now what do we think it will cost to educate Corey’s victim? He may need counseling, and possibly special ed if he starts to develope aggressive sexual tenancies.

I still can’t fathom the attraction to children? I really don’t understand it. I guess if you look at this guy he’s probably never going to get laid by a women or a guy at that, so he has to prey on children. Is that was a sexual predator really is? Someone who can’t get laid on their own that they have to prey on the helpless?

Actually, Brittany, a lot of pedophiles are perfectly ordinary looking, even attractive men, many of whom have wives and families. Personal appearance has got nothing to do with it, and neither does the availability of willing adult partners. Saying a pedophile only targets kids because he can’t get any from adults is like saying gay men are only gay because they can’t women willing to sleep with them.

Ok, so first off, I have no right to post on this thread.

I actually have 3 library books that are about 4 months past due. I got the ‘bad girl, bad girl’ notices, but didn’t know what they were talking about. I thought the books were at my boy’s dads house. But then I performed my normal maintenance of cleaning my car every 10 years like clockwork, and found those dang books. So I did what anyone would do, under the circumstances.

I kicked them under the the passenger seat!

I am so laughing as I write this. I’m guessing the library does not find it funny, since they sent me a bill for a couple of hundred dollars or something for ‘late fees’. Hopefully this week I’ll remember to return them.

Meaghan- you are (in my opinion, for what it’s worth) absolutely correct in your statements…

“a lot of pedophiles are perfectly ordinary looking, even attractive men, many of whom have wives and families. Personal appearance has got nothing to do with it, and neither does the availability of willing adult partners. Saying a pedophile only targets kids because he can’t get any from adults is like saying gay men are only gay because they can’t women willing to sleep with them.”

I personally kind of think it’s insulting to think that gay people are only gay because they can’t get any of the ‘good’ straight people.

I’ve read too much scientific shit about all the variations of the xx/yy/xy/xxy/yyyx…… and on and on. I very much believe that it’s very likely that variations of genetic makeup directly affect what sex you will perceive yourself to be, regardless of society’s insistence that you choose one camp or the other.

At the same time, I would guess that even supposedly genetically hardcore ’straight’ people probably have a bit of ‘bi’ naturally built into the hardware.

But, I will defer to Brittany on this, as I get the feeling she might know more about it from personal experience than I’ve gotten from peripheral experience. I’m also going to guess that she probably did not really think through what she wrote. She seems smart enough to realize that married people with pussy up the yin yang for some reason still rape people, and that Pedos do not reallt choose children to assault just because they can’t get any adult action.

I’m going to guess that she just posted the way she did spur of the moment. It’s a very natural thing to first think…. they picked a kid because they are losers who can’t get any ass anyway. Y’know? I personally think that’s a reasonable gut-level reaction when faced with something you do not understand. The good thing about it is that it does kind of point out the people who don’t understand pedopholes. I don’t understand them. I’m sure I post many things people don’t like regarding that.

There are some things that when people don’t know about them, means they are ignorant.
There are other things, that when people don’t know about them…. they’re just lucky.
Don’t be hard on Brittany. I think she means well.

Me, on the other hand…. I often don’t mean well at all. Feel free to whack on me.

Glory is right on the fact that what I wrote was the spur of the moment, however it’s true, I don’t understand the mentality of Pedo’s. I do however understand the mentality of gay people.
I am young. I am naive in some things. At the same time I’m pretty educated with street smarts and book smarts, however I can’t tell you anything that’s going on in our current election.
I’m naive when it comes to understand Pedo’s and why they do what they do, besides the fact that it’s a mental incapability.

I wasn’t trying to equate pedophiles with gay people by my comment. Pedophiles are scum. Gay people are all right, as long as their partners are consenting adults also. I was just trying to say that both of them will feel attracted to a certain type (children, or adults of the same gender), regardless of the availability of alternatives.

When I was about four, I was accosted by an adult male neighbor. He tried to get me to go inside his house and actually began to physically drag me inside when I refused. He only let go when I started screaming. I can think of only one reason why he would do this. He was a perfectly normal looking guy, an auto mechanic, married, with some kids close to my age. He still lives down the street from me.

I have had something similar like that happen to me. I was actually really good friends with this guy though. He would bring me into town to the pool and drop me off. (I lived in the country in the middle of no where and he was my neighbor.) Anyway, instead of dropping me off, he took me to the country and tried to get into my pants, but i rolled down the window (doors were locked) and I ran into the corn field right next to us. Man was that shit scary or what because I had no clue where we exactly were and I thought he was going to come after me.

I think everyone would like pedos to just have a big fat P branded on their foreheads. It would make things easier for us.

But if you look at things psychologically, children are usually pretty keen on character. So, if you want to abuse them, it’s probably not a good idea to look or act like a freak.

Quiet, next-door neighbor type… YES! You get to molest the kids. Freako, what we want pedos to look like loser-type—enhhhhh you lose… no kiddies for you. Life should be so easy, eh?

I only brought up the gay thing because I’ve so often seen it set up the same way people set up pedos.

      For example-

Well, he was kind of a geek, and obviously couldn’t get any pussy, so it makes sense that he ended up raping some kid…

      and

Well, I guess he was such a loser that he couldn’t even pay to get any pussy, so is it any wonder he ended up being a faggot?

I am not trying to offend anyone by posting this. I am trying to point out that these are variations of things I’ve heard for years.

I keep hoping that people will get educated and learn that people assault children because they are attracted to children… not that they just can’t get any adult action.

And that people will realize that for the most part, most people who are gay are gay because that is what their chromosomes are telling them to do… not because the girl down the hall said ‘no’.

Honestly, I hear variations of jokes about these kinds of things at least once a year if not more. People don’t seem to be getting more educated. They probably think all pedos wear raincoats, too.

Oh.. I forgot to mention a big one. That women are only gay because they hate men because their first guy was no good in bed. A really good guy in bed could probably change all that. Wink.

Stereotypes are just bad. They do not serve any good purpose. And, in things like pedo crap, they actually make things worse, because the sterotype actually enables people to get away with abuse because they don’t ‘look’ the part.

Meaghan- ‘ Gay people are all right, as long as their partners are consenting adults also.’

I can see that you are trying. But wouldn’t it have sounded silly if you’d written ‘heterosexual people are all right- as long as their partners are consenting adults also’….?

Anyway, the advertising plugs do not bother me. I’d rather have them embedded in a story than popping up on top of a story, or flashing in the corner.

If given a choice of paying to read a blog, or having an embedded advertisement, I’d choose the latter. Blogs aren’t free to run, are they?

And, the ads are kind of pertinent. Not that they’d have been bright enough to have chosen to, but don’t you think at least half of the people in stories here could have had a different outcome if they’d been intelligent enough and forked over however much it costs to run a background check on their new boyfriend. Before he killed the baby, that is. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not implying that even after seeing a huge sex offender rap sheet some babymomma still wouldn’t just jump on the hay with her legs spread. My point is that it is reasonable that someone would need to get financial help for their blog, and the sponsor chosen at least matches the content. At least I am not subjected to having to see some weird woman/animation/dance thing about loans. I would NOT come to this blog site if there was some freaky dancing alien or chicka on the side. Too annoying and distracting.

If you don’t like the plugs, just skip to the next line. Nobody gets hurt.

Anyway, there was a boy that was 15 and he would pretend he was gay so he could touch girls and get close to them. It was pretty crazy.
