    Joseph Nagle and Cheyenne Blanton

Joseph NagleThe parents of 16-year-old Joseph Nagle will be the first ones to tell you that, as a parent, you can only do so much.

Most kids start out all soft and fuzzy and lovable. They’re more or less easy to love and take care of at that point.

Then they grow up, get big, get an attitude.

    They start to grow hair.

They start to dress like a thug, or a slut.

And then, before you know it, you have a child like Joseph Nagle or his girlfriend, 17-year-old Cheyenne Blanton.

I’m sure that the parents of all parties involved were quite happy when Joseph Nagle, whose boring and private MySpace page can be seen here and the love of his life, Cheyenne, whose MySpace page can be found here, even managed that high school holy grail together – having unprotected sex, producing a baby and dumping it on their grandparents!

Three cheers for the future of America!

On the 21st of February, 2008, both Joseph Nagle and Cheyenne Blanton decided, like many youths do, that they wanted a car. They didn’t work, they didn’t have any money, but (also) like many youths, they decided that the lack of funding for their dreams wasn’t going to stop them – they were going to steal one.

This is not especially surprising, as both Joseph and Cheyenne have criminal records, having been convicted on domestic violence charges and numerous probation violations, and spending a large amount of time in juvenile incarceration facilities.

Cheyenne BlantonBut on that day Joseph Nagle and Cheyenne Blanton, who are both criminal masterminds, chose to steal the car of Sheila Clark, who lives in a rural home in Hanover Township, Ohio.

    Their plan was simple.

Both Joseph and Cheyenne would break into the house, hide, wake up in the morning before Sheila Clark left, find her car keys and steal her car.

How the pair intended to keep Sheila Clark from calling the police once she woke up and noticed her car missing hasn’t been revealed, but hey…would it possibly involve some kind of physical violence?

    Sure it would.

Fortunately for Sheila Clark, she woke up before Joseph Nagle and Cheyenne Blanton did, getting in her car and driving to work, leaving her 18-year-old disabled daughter, Ashley Clark, home alone with Joseph Nagle and Cheyenne Blanton – two predators with nothing to do for several hours in someone else’s house.

So the pair made something to eat for themselves, and went to wake Ashley Clark up.

On that Friday, the 22nd of February, Ashley Clark was at home recovering from brain surgery.

Now, if you’ve ever had brain surgery, or if you know someone who has had brain surgery, you know that unless you’ve gone out and bought a home brain surgery kit, paying a specialist to cut into someone’s head and fix whatever is wrong is usually really, really expensive. It can take a while to get surgery scheduled, there’s always some complication involved, and really – having someone cut into your head is kind of scary in the first place.

So when you’ve gone through brain surgery, you really want to take care of your noggin afterwards. You don’t ride your motorcycle without a helmet, you don’t jump off podiums onto wet floors, you don’t run at people with your head down and try to knock them over.

You also ask people who intend to give you a savage beating over the span of six or so hours not to hit your head. You ask them nicely. You might beg a little bit.

You’d probably, like Ashley Clark did, tell Joseph Nagle and Cheyenne Blanton that you had just had brain surgery and cry and plead them to stop hitting you on the head.

But Joseph Nagle and Cheyenne Blanton refused to respect Ashley Clark’s boundaries.

Throughout the day, Joseph Nagle and Cheyenne Blanton tortured Ashley Clark for absolutely no reason.

Ashley was beaten, with fists, with feet and with a baseball bat. She was beaten to the point where she had severe bruising and swelling all over her hands, arms, face and body, along with bleeding from her face and forehead.

Ashley Clark’s hair was cut off.

She had been made to stand in the shower while Joseph Nagle and Cheyenne Blanton threw water on her. Once she was nice and soaked, they made her walk outside, over the snow-covered ground.

And remember. It’s not like Joseph Nagle and Cheyenne Blanton wanted something from this girl. They made no demands. They weren’t out to take her life savings. They weren’t trying to uncover a terrorist bombing plot.

They were torturing a helpless, disabled girl who they knew had brain surgery, for no reason at all other than to entertain themselves.

The fun came to an end when Sheila Clark came home from work. As she came home, she found her house looking like it had been ransacked and her daughter looking like she’d been tied behind a truck and dragged for a while.

She called the police, who arrived in a few minutes and did what police do when they’re called to situations like this.

The cops looked the scene over, went outside and saw two pairs of shoe prints leading through the snow.

Following the shoe prints, the police came across Joseph Nagle and Cheyenne Blanton, hiding in a field next to the Clark house.

    And that was that.

After the pair was arrested, the police notified the kids’ parents that their kids had been picked up for torturing a helpless, disabled girl, and this is where my faith in humanity is rekindled.

They left the kids in jail, let the world know that their kids did something wrong and announced that they support the victim – not their children.

According to a written statement that Joseph Nagle’s father released to the press on the 25th of February, 2008 – the day his son was arraigned:

We are here today not to show support for Joe and Cheyenne but for Miss Clark and her family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. We pray that they are all able to heal from this horrific ordeal and put their lives back together. As parents, we have done everything in our power to turn Joseph around, including mental health counseling, family therapy, incarceration and commitment to the Butler County Juvenile Behavioral Rehabilitation Program. It is our hope that justice for Joseph and Cheyenne is swift and severe.

Amazingly, Cheyenne Blanton’s mother, Wendy Blanton, agreed with Joseph Nagle’s father:

Something needs to happen. They definitely don’t need to be walking the streets, that’s for sure. I’m still in shock. I’m still wanting to wake up I guess. It’s like a big nightmare to me.

Joseph Nagle and Cheyenne Blanton have been arraigned on juvenile delinquency charges including aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, kidnapping, felonious assault and vandalism. Prosecutors are confident that the judge will approve a move to adult court for the pair, due to the seriously screwed up nature of this crime and the criminal history of these two idiots.

If convicted on all counts in an adult court, Joseph and Cheyenne could face between 8 to 28 years in prison.

Joseph Nagle and Cheyenne Blanton will, of course, be given court-appointed attorneys who will try to keep the pair in juvenile court.

    Update:

17-year-old Cheyenne Blanton will not leave prison until she is 61 years old. How’s that for justice?

Cheyenne Blanton and her boyfriend, 17-year-old Joseph Nagle, both separately pled guilty to a number of felonies: Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Robbery, Conspiracy to commit Aggravated Robbery, Felonious Assault, Vandalism and two counts of Kidnapping.

As he handed down the 44-year sentence to the teenager, Judge Nastoff noted that the girl’s criminal past included her own admission to violence with her mother as well as harming animals:

This crime is utterly senseless and unspeakably violent. I hope when you’re finally released from prison you’re out of gas.

Cheyenne will serve her time at the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections.

Sentencing for Joseph Nagel, with whom she has a young child, is scheduled for the 14th of October, 2008 before Judge Charles Pater in Butler County Common Pleas Court.

Hooray!! It is such a breathe of fresh air for the parents to side with the victim, not their POS kids… Major brownie points for the parents and you have lots of love and support from friends and strangers alike, I’m sure (including myself)… As for Joseph and Cheyenne, I hope they get life, nevermind 8 years, how can you torture a girls who has just had brain surgery for NO REASON? I esp. can’t fathom the girl doing it, no offense guys but girls are naturally more caring, I guess not in this case… I hope these two are as tough as they aspire to be because hopefully Karma will catch up with them in jail and they will be the ones begging… I hope the Clark family and Cheyenne and Joes families can move on from this eventually and live long, happy, healthy lives…

    3. Nissa says:

It’s good to see some parents who aren’t blind to the faults of their offspring. But wow, this is horrible. I hope those two go away for a long long time.

    4. Fred says:

I am sure that the parents have given up partially because of the system. The POSs’ parents could not discipline them in the past without getting in trouble themselves, so this is what our new society produces!
One nice thing about even an 8 year sentence – by the time these POS get out they are on their own – Mommy and Daddy can have them arrested for trespassing should they want to come back home!

So it sounds like they lost more than just their freedom….. I went to their myspace pages – she loves her baby….. yeah to show it off as some trphey and for whatever benidits she can get – maybe a little more sympathy with the jury!
She’s got to be a good mother – she beats on adults only! (Ashley is 18, so it’s not like they beat on a child)

    5. sylvain says:

Another horrific story…I approve the parent’s point of view to feel really sorry for the victim, and don’t take place beside their children; No way, we won’t agree about what you did, and justice will take

    6. sylvain says:

Another horrible story…I approve the parent’s point of view; No way, we won’t agree about what you did, and justice will take the medecine it needs to protect the society againt your nameless behaviors.

    7. Meaghan says:

I feel so bad for the defendants’ parents. They are doing the right thing by denouncing their children’s behavior but it must be so difficult for them. Of course, I feel even worse for the victim, and her mother.

I hope the defendants go to jail for a long, long time.

    8. Miwist says:

I feel bad for Ashley, her mother, the baby, the defendants parents. Everybody except the scumbags that did the beating. They’re pretty fucking tough, lets’s see how they hold up in prison.

    9. Jayni says:

Wow, that is sure crazy! I am glad the kids got caught though! The poor girl that was abused, etc. Man, that is sad! =0( I feel bad. Thep kids that did th beating are stupid. Atleast they have a reason to put the two idiots away!

    10. Cass says:

I hope they burn in hell.

    11. Sarah says:

      What the hell!?!?!?!?
They should never see the light of day again. How cold blooded do you have to be to do something so disgusting? I can’t wrap my mind around it. Did the geniuses think they wouldn’t be caught? Did they think she would be unable to identify them? They clearly didn’t think at all. Pure evil. I don’t want people capable of something like this roaming the streets ever, but even if the max is imposed, they could breathe free air again. Scary.

    12. awizardalso says:

Why is it that when I start to question my beliefs about the death penalty, along comes another story about somebody (or two) who is so sick, twisted and evil, that I see there’s still a need for it. There are some people who just don’t deserve to share the same air. I hope these two are removed from our midst for many, many years. These are some real sick puppies. There isn’t any ‘fixing’ them, well, nothing short of a lobotomy.

    13. Kim says:

That is some cold-blooded shit. How could a normal person do something like that to a helpless human being? I just don’t understand it. I’m really impressed by the attitude of the parents. That is exactly what I would do if any of my kids ever did something so horrible and stupid. I have told them many times, if they ever get arrested for doing stupid shit, they will sit and rot in jail. I will not spend one penny of my hard-earned money to get them out of jail or to pay for an attorney. Yay for those parents!!! More parents of POS kids should be like that.

    14. bsv says:

get your story straight, the first paragraph is WRONG. Those are the parents of the VICTIM. don’t post something you know nothing about. it just shows your STUPIDITY
God will judge them, not you.

      admin – Duh.

    15. Kim says:

How do you know those are the victim’s parents? Admin, have ya checked this one out?

    16. Brittany says:

I don’t think it’s really the families siding with the victim. They usually will express condoliances (sp) even if they don’t mean it. This story is different. They went against their own children. I think that’s the great part.

    17. Katie says:

The picture is of the victim’s parents. Bobby and Sheila Clark have become familiar faces here in Cincinnati so I can assure you that they are the parent’s of the tortured girl not Joseph Nagle. You can certainly check this information against any of the videos of these people on channelcincinnati.com

admin – Good call, thanks! Article corrected. Still looking for pictures of Nagle and his girly.

    18. Kim says:

I see what you mean. Well, even if it was the wrong picture, I’m still impressed that the other parents are so supportive and against their OWN children. More parents need to be that way instead of saying, “oh my precious child would never do anything like THAT”. You know?

    19. Sean says:

“…they wanted a car. They didn’t work, they didn’t have any money, but (also) like many youths, they decided that the lack of funding for their dreams wasn’t going to stop them – they were going to steal one.”

This reads as if it is common for youths to steal. Crimes like this have been getting more rare for the last 15 years. It’s a horror story for sure, but the contemptuous attitude is usually found coming from offenders.

    20. Rich says:

You know when I heard about this crime (Was On Glen Beck) i was just about sick. I have seen alot of what youth can do and that most children are far from innocent and a few are just a lost cause. But I think with cases like this they should bring back hard labor. And the profits of that labor should go to the victim or the family of the victim. At least then these two current wastes of skin might just relize how hard the rest of us work just to put the bread on the table. But thanks for putting up this site. At least now there is somewhere that once it’s not a head line the criminals can’t hide anymore.

    21. Minnie says:

Please please please …justice system or better yet, fellow inmates…give them what they’ve got coming. I don’t give a crap what happens to these inhuman waste cases.

    22. CDR says:

well ive had brain surgery and hope these 2 souless ‘kids’ never see freedom again.

    23. Cindy says:

      On a brighter note….
“Clark had told her father, Bobby Clark: “I am strong. They cannot break my spirit,” Parrett said.

That poignant quote appears in black lettering on pink T-shirts – Ashley Clark’s favorite color. Donated by a local business, the shirts are being given to people who give at least $5 to the Ashley Clark Spirit Fund, Parrett said.”

“Friends, strangers and businesses have already pitched in to replace Ashley Clark’s stolen jewelry, ruined prom dress and music discs. Because her attackers cut off her brown hair, a business also is donating a wig. Other businesses have stepped forward with pledges of a free dinner and a complimentary limousine ride for her and her boyfriend on prom night, May 17. Contributions can be made to the Ashley Clark Spirit Fund at any Fifth Third Bank.”

Nice to see the community rallying around Ashley and bringing in some positive from this horrible horrible situation.

    24. KP says:

I wanna know what race they all are!

    25. GloryBug says:

My bad. It’s hard not to notice that Ashley not only has a boyfriend… but isn’t (as far as we know) pregnant!

That teeny, tiny detail alone speaks a lot about the future for this girl.

As far as KP wanting to know what race her attackers are… WTF? Why would that matter? If you follow any criminal profiling, based on this crime, her attackers were more than likely the same race as the victim. So, what’s your point?

    26. DarkMarcsun says:

How do you not toss attempted murder charges at these meatsacks? Let’s see…beating? Check. Baseball bat to the head? Check. Begging for one’s life because you’ve just undergone life threatening brain surgery, from which you will likely recover, assuming two complete strangers don’t break into your home and try to bash your brains in for shits and giggles? Check!

Meets my definition of attempted murder.

This is why the DA’s office needs to be apolitical. No more of this crap of DAs only filing charges they know they win.

    27. Hahaha says:

Well, seeing as i knew both of them the both of them are fucking physco! esp cheyenne she is a crazy fuckin bitch who deserves everything that FUCKING HAPPENS to her. i swear dude they should get life and if they dont i will be after that sick bitch and tis time there wont be a next for her!!!

to the hahaha person, im joes older brother and i would really like to talk to you.

      • PantalonesDeDios says:

Well Mr. Older Brother what are your comments on what your brother has done?

      • Cass says:

Tell your brother he deserves to burn in hell ^_^

        • matt says:

my brother deserves to be punished for what he DID do. the media tells alot of things that arnt true and have been proven in court. im not saying anymore than that.

          • PantalonesDeDios says:

Your brother is involved in the beating of a disabled girl who just had brain surgery. Do you still call him brother or are you planning to distance yourself from him and this?

          • TurtleMania says:

            Matt,
I don’t understand how beating up the girl equates to stealing a car? (rhetorical question)

I hope you get a chance to kick your brother’s ass for being so dumb.

          • matt says:

i do still plan on calling him my brother, he is blood and i cant change that. yes im very angry about what he did do, yes he needs to be punished for it, but the things he did do in this crime do NOT constitute him deserving to die. trust me. and turtlemania yes one day i hope i can put a boot in his ass for being so dumb and careless with his and his childs life and for putting a dent in mine my familys and the clarks.
cheyenne i could give 2 shits about, she also seemed nuts to me.

          • Lavonna says:

Your brother is a sad sack of shit that doesnt deserve to be breathing. Lucky that was not one of my girls, he would have nine reasons to wish that he didn’t do it.
Both of them need to have everything that they did to the child, done to them. fricking losers.

    30. Craig Schirato says:

If you had done this to one of my kids, you would have bought yourself a ticket on the bullet train to hell.

    31. An1mal says:

Why is everyone giving props to the parents of these sick fucks….like they deserve a fucking prize for actually standing up and saying what is obvious….their children are pieces of rat feces.

You are exactly right craig! i am the father of 4 children….if these retards had done this shit to any of my kids…well the police would only be involved after I killed each one in the most profane manner I could find…that’s why I keep my cheese grator nearby at all times.

      • eternal says:

because it’s refreshing to see parents who call a spade a spade instead of coming here to scream at us for posting our opinions in the exact way the never screamed at their kids for being little fuckups, or bitch and moan about how it really wasn’t them, blame the victim and/or the system, or make excuses.

    32. Mazzi says:

I got jailed once, when I was 17 – for disturbing the peace. I was in a bar parking lot (yeah, I know – but the drinking age back then was 18, and I looked older) and my ex-boyfriend and I got in a fight. HE hit ME (the only hit I have ever taken from a man) and the cops carted ME off to jail.

I called my mother, who was asleep at the time. She told me “OK, I’ll come get you in the morning”. Mind you, she was a lawyer and I was the baby in the family – none of us had EVER been in serious trouble of any kind.

Do you know how much respect I have for my mom now? That had to have been hard for her, but the lesson it taught me was – don’t hang out with creeps. I may have been the “victim”, but if I had not been acting badly, I would not have been taken off.

When parents run to the kids rescue, and stand up screaming to support them, no matter what THEY have done, it teaches the kid to take no responsibility for themself. My mom could have come to the jail, yelled at the cops for arresting the wrong person, and threatened a lawsuit – but she didn’t. And I learned that I needed to take responsibility for my own actions.

I respect these parents. Maybe they might have done better jobs raising their kids, or maybe they really did the best they could, but either way – the fact that they are not making excuses for their kids means something.

      • Lavonna says:

Mazzi, I understand your mothers point but still, I would have been on my way to the boyfriends house having a little talk with him. You shouldn’t have went to jail if he hit you.
NO man will hit my girls and get by with it. If I have to take a ball bat to them I will swing hard.

    34. bird says:

I personally knew Cheyenne, and know the Nagle family.
Cheyenne, truly is scum. She once payed me 300 dollars (I was a dumb kid and took it) to ask out a boy she had sex with. Well when he said no, she went to the police and said it was rape.
She also started sleeping with a 27 year old man, when she was 12. Her mother found out and reported it. I got caught up in that court case because the same 27 year old man raped me a year before when I was 12 and still a virgin.
      She deserves worse.

      • Mazzi says:

Does anyone have a clue what this poster is saying?

        • Amy says:

I think she is saying that she was paid to go out with one of Cheyenne’s ex’s by Cheyenne herself. ( Does that make the poster a porstitute?) The ex apparently turned down Ms Bird ( that was an easy $300) and so Cheyenne went and cried rape to the police. Why? Fucked if i know!
Cheyenne also was rpaed by a 27 year old man if the poster is correct, when she was 12. The poster was also raped by the same 27 year old man.
Id have a crack about trailer trash, but i know some decent people who live in trailers.
It sounds kinda fucked up, like a Days Of Our Lives episode.

    35. Amy says:

Wow. This is the first time ove seen this story and im astounded at the cruelty of these two kids. What makes them this way? They were not abused, they did not have bad parents…they were just evil!
I think the sentence is just spot on and i hope the boyfriend gets the same.

    36. diana says:

OH! I hope she likes jail. What a twat. I don’t understand people like this.

    37. Cass says:

44 years? Thats not enough. Give that fat bitch life.

    38. Randi Nicole says:

44 years a lot- she won’t be out til she is 61.. that’s a lot to swallow. Missing family events, missing her child grow up, etc. I think justice was served.

Now, as for Joe- the same or more time would be great.

I feel for their child, not having his/her parents, because they made a very huge mistake. I also feel for the parents of all 3 parties.

    39. The Danger Zone says:

How in the hell do we get stuck supporting these two pieces of garbage for 44 years? At 17 these two have not contributed a single thing towards the bettering of society, not one damn thing. Now, they are going to get out of prison in time to retire and be a burden on those of us who do work our entire lives and contribute the way we are supposed to contribute.

I can only pray, and I am, that these two meet a swift and horrid death while they are in prison. Dieing in the shower would be poetic justice.

    40. ahhh says:

leave the baby out of this what did it do? It didn’t ask to be born or have these two as parents. Is is lucky maybe will it be crazy maybe but tht isn’t for anyone to say around here it’s just a baby and doesn’t need to be slashed on the internet by anyone thanks!!!

I feel really sorry for their parents. Imagine having to live with that. You’d go over again and again in your mind if you could have done something differently…second guess your parenting skills. It would be hell.

How come this loser got less time than the love of his life? Sounds like he snitched on her to save his own ass. I hate this guy more and more every day. If it wasn’t for his parents, who may be two of the finest people I’ve ever heard of, I’d think of some off the wall nasties just for Joey. There’s the off chance Mom & Pop may see this post, and I honestly don’t want to offend them.

    46. Chuck says:

Yeah, I’m wondering why Nagle got less time than his GF, but still feel justice has been served. Anyway, you can read more about his sentencing here:

Its was a horible thing they did, only thing makes me the tinyest bit happy is Cheyenne will be in jail till she is 61. Her daughter will be like 45 years old. And her Grandkids will be the same age as Cheyenne was or older before she went to jail. Consitering how the courts work, its amazing she got that many years.

    49. Julie says:

As a teenager myself, I think that what the article said at the beginning is dreadfully Unfair and Prejudiced to teens. Not all teens are like that. In fact, Most Aren’t. Sure, what those two did was sick, wrong, and terrible, but that doesn’t happen everyday. Those two aren’t a representative of the teen population. That’s just my opinion.

Okay, the question that I was wondering this whole time was why would a disabled girl who had just had brain surgery be left home alone? What if she had an adverse reaction to the anesthia or what if she just simply was hungry? Shouldn’t someone of been home with her? I just kept thinking that the whole time that I was reading this story. I would never leave my son home after he had just had surgery not even if he had just had a mole removed. This seems really strange to me.

    51. The fucked up thing is that I went to middle school with this girl. I KNEW her. I even went to her house. I knew she was wierd but damn. I did NOT expect this. She was indeed raped by a 27 year old man and my friend was raped by him too. But she was fucked up long before that I think. I also believe she deserves to die. She better hope to god that I’m nto around when she does get out because 60 years old or not I will beat her ass.
