Some Things To Think About While PYSIH Undergoes Routine Maintenance

There are a few things that need to be fixed, some technical thingies that are zigging instead of zagging, and Michael Lankton from AVEnthusiast (av news that appeals to audiophiles and videophiles) is going to be upgrading a few things here and there.

In the meantime, you can read this article from the Washington Post about how playground games like tag and dodgeball are being stamped out by excessive litigation and whatnot.

I personally loved those games as a kid and hope my children can experience the heady joys of outmaneuvering their peers for themselves when they hit ages more appropriate for school. Children are losing out on what used to be a universally (in the United States anyways) shared experience, and are poorer for it.

Let’s all point and laugh at 39-year-old Hisanori Umezu, who was arrested by a police officer in Japan after he attacked said officer with a knife and tried to steal the officer’s pistol. Hisanori Umezu had just been released from prison that day and needed some way to make a living. After his arrest, Hisanori Umezu told police,

I didn’t have any money at all. I needed a gun.

If Mr. Umezu had just used a cheat code, he wouldn’t have had this problem.

Ok, seems like we’re good to go. Jeff, only one of your plugins was incompatible with the new backend software, and I had to remove it from your theme’s index.php it because it caused your home page to not display properly. I looked, and no version of that particular plugin will work, so you may want to look for a similar, compatible plugin if you don’t want to give up the functionality it gave you.

Let me know if there are any issues.
