While they may be hell-bound, you can be sure at least a few of them will have fun playing poker before they get there.
While looking through our e-mail inbox this morning, we found an interesting message from a friend of ours over at DuplicatePoker.com. While we really, really, really suck at all forms of gambling, we do know that there are quite a few people out there who haven’t realized that they suck yet and are willing to spend large sums of money trying to prove that they don’t suck at poker, blackjack and UNO.
From what we hear, the World Series of Poker is kind of a big deal for people who like poker and other silly little card games.
Apparently, our friends over at DuplicatePoker.com are going to host their first-ever World Series of Poker main event qualifier on the 10th of May, 2008. The winner of that tournament receives a complete VIP travel package to Las Vegas. All travel expenses are covered, plus the entire $10,000 buy-in for the World Series of Poker tournament is paid for you.

All you need to participate is the qualifying tournament registration fee of $99 + $9. Why they couldn’t say you need $108, I don’t know, but if you’re into poker gambling and you want to take a shot at the big money, this would seem like a pretty interesting way to go about it.
