I can't be the first person who's noticed that most of the people who end up being exonerated for a crime actually had an extensive criminal history-- they just weren't guilty of THAT particular crime. Kind of like the drunk drivers that only get caught after having driven drunk 50-5 million times. Boo-Hoo some peoples feeling are hurt. For the most part, stories are picked based on the merit that these people have done something. Also many of these stories are followed up with stories about their day in court. Given the speed of our court system (who is denying the right to a speedy trial here?) many stories are not immediately followed up. I hope this atty goes nowhere, attys like this are dangerous if they become politicians because they pass laws aimed at righting past wrongs in their life, not looking at the big picture. Many times their motive is revenge, and it scares me to know that our government, Senate and House are looking to regulate the internet. So much for free speech! Also they are looking for ways to tax it - as if the internet has not generated enough money 1. I own a website, and I pay taxes on the service 2. Additional traffic means additional fees means additional taxes 3. Sales tax on all the computers.. 4. Al the people employed because of the net a. income tax b. business taxes c, sales taxes (companies are consumers as well) Internet postage amounts to King George III's Stamp Act.
