  • Matthew E. Puhl Is A Silly Little Monkey. Dance, Matthew! Dance!

Matthew E. Puhl, web developer extraordinaire, has written to People You’ll See In Hell yet again. Apparently upset that we revealed his request for our removal of Brenda Thiel’s story from People You’ll See In Hell, Matthew Puhl (which, I hear, is Eskimo for “Bitch”) has again graced us with his thoughtful voice.

    Hello,

I see you posted the email I had sent you on your website, including my business name and email address. I’m writing to request that at the very least you remove the business name and email address from your webpage. Interactive Web Design is my business; I started almost five years ago with just one client and have worked very hard to build it into a career with a diverse clientele.

Your webpage reproduces a private correspondence in a public forum with the intent to embarrass, and I’m requesting you remove the business name and email from the page. I don’t think I am asking for anything outrageous, and can see only two possible responses to this request. One is that you remove the information from the webpage, the other is that you reproduce this correspondence somewhere on your site as a follow up to initial email, with the same intent. Either way, I’ve said what I had to say, and again I’m just trying to protect something I’ve worked very hard to create, you can say what you like about me, but I don’t think its right to cast my business in a negative light. I don’t know what you do, but I’m sure you can understand what my motive is here, I’m not attacking you or your business and again I’m only asking that you remove any reference to my business from your webpage.

If you’d like to respond to this correspondence in any manner, I ask that you do so privately by emailing me at this email address.

    Most Sincerely,

    Matthew E. Puhl
    Web Developer
    Interactive Web Design
    interactivewebdesign@gmail.com

As always, People You’ll See In Hell would like to point out that we do, regularly receive Hate Mail which is all posted in the Hate Mail section. We would also like to point out that we do like to correspond with people who e-mail us, especially when they send us topless pictures of themselves, are female, and are even slightly attractive. So far, Matthew E. Puhl has not sent us topless pictures, but we are hanging in there, regardless.

As before, we would like to communicate with Matthew E. Puhl in this, our public forum. Some of you may be aware that public forums have a long, distinguished history but are susceptible to demagoguery. Others of you may not be nerds and may actually have lives.

    Hello,

We are glad that you read our site on a regular basis and noticed that we have posted your e-mail to us. We certainly understand that you would like, at the very least, for us to remove your business name and e-mail address from our web page.

Somehow, I don’t think mentioning your web design company on People You’ll See In Hell will affect your business much, if at all. Mostly because we cannot find your business website. In fact, the only thing that really comes up when you do a Google search for “interactive web design Matthew E. Puhl” is this:

    Matthew Puhl search results 1

And the only thing that comes up when you do a Google search for “Matthew E. Puhl” is this:

    matthew puhl search results 2

Of course, considering that Interactive Web Design has over 8 million responses in Google search, it’s not surprising that your company isn’t in the top responses.

We are, however, delighted that People You’ll See In Hell now ranks #1 for both Matthew E. Puhl and “interactive web design Matthew E. Puhl.” It warms us to the very cockles of our hearts, it does.

We would also like to take this time to point out that publishing e-mail is not illegal by any means. Once you click “send” and those electrons shoot out through the Internet tubes and pop onto our monitor, you lose all rights to the content of your e-mail, much like you do when you write to someone via regular snail mail.

Imagine that you had sent People You’ll See In Hell a nice postcard with a picture of you in a tutu on an elephant, or wearing a thong in a busy subway. Could you blame us for posting that picture of you on People You’ll See In Hell?

    No, sir, you could not.

In these modern times, this wonderful age of technology and dreams fulfilled, any damage done to the reputation of your business is your fault. Perhaps next time you try to threaten someone you will edit the communication so as not to reveal your livelihood.

We do find it amusing that you backed away from trying to get us to remove the references to Brenda Thiel from People You’ll See In Hell, and would like to take this opportunity to publicly call you a bitch. We would also like to add a new poll to our website and give our readers the chance to tell you how they feel about you as well.

    Most Sincerely,

IMHO, I think he can redeem himself.

Yes, Matthew E. Puhl, you can redeem yourself. It’s not too late.
I’d like you to go to the Brenda Thiel blog here in PYSIH, and denounce her.
Also you must abstain from representing Brenda Thiel in a court of law.
Do all of this, and in my eyes you won’t be a “Bitch” any more.

Oh, and I almost forgot - if the following post was yours, I’d like an apology:

What kind of sick SOBs are you to even have a site like this. Wake up…hell doesn’t exist. And if it did I’d disown the god that created it. Brenda suffered from a mental illness as some of you do. No different than cancer or heart problems. Waste your time on eBay…not this shit.

ps I hope you liked my turtle.

Thanks for highlighting that section Turtle!

I am tired of people sayingt that mental illness, alcoholism, drug addiction etc is like cancer or heart problems. The main difference
      Sick People look to alieviate,
      Addicts look to exhasorbate!

A cancer patient, like my father, has his ups and downs. While the medicine that is supposed to help him makes him sick at times, the goal is either cure or comfort.

Someone who is an addict, is usually functional until they choose to drink, take a drug or do something else to harm someone as to feed their addiction. Whatever is done is done as to seek a “high” as to avoid a low.

Alcholism and such while being a sickness is NOT cancer. When was the last time anyone has seen a cancer patient try to grow the tumor larger or have a surgeon add another tumor? How many alcoholics are looking for their next drink?

Addictions and mental illnesses are actions and somebody must be held accountable for such!

I just want to say that while I’m not certain that this girl was mentally ill (it is possible, from a completely objective standpoint, that she could have just made up all of the stuff about hearing voices and such), mental illness is not controllable in the same way that alcoholism is. There is really no comparison. Yes, alcoholism is an illness, but you can stop drinking. It is possible to abstain from alcohol. However, if you have a mental illness, presumably caused by chemical malfunctions in the brain, there is really no way to abstain from that. It can be treated with meds SOMTIMES, but sometimes you don’t even know you’re sick, and you really think you’re hearing voices from God and can’t see things from a realistic perspective. I am no psychologist, but I have worked with mentally ill people as well as people with alzheimer’s and dementia as a nurse’s aide. I have seen enough to know that whatever exists in their minds is definitely conflicting with reality and they don’t realize that. So in my view, it is POSSIBLE that this girl didn’t know what she was doing, but who knows? Misfiring signals and chemical problems in the brain are just as real as a tumor.

I agree with you Jessi. Speaking as a person who suffered from severe depression for a decade, and as someone with many friends who have mental illness, they are definitely sick and can’t simply “cheer up” or whatever in the way that an alkie can simply set down the bottle and walk away from it.

Hey now, I run a business myself and feel for the guy. I don’t think it’ll harm him any having his info on here, but he was nice and professional about asking for the removal of it so I think we should humor his request.

admin - No! I like PYSIH.com ranking for his name and business. It makes me laugh. Chortle, even. Give me a dollar.

Can you say ‘attention whore’ ? This guy is obviously just trying to promote his business.

Anyone can get an anonymous temp email to write stupid emails— and people who aren’t trying to increase their website traffic flow wouldn’t keep posting all their website info at the end of their emails… especially moronically if that secondary email is feebly asking to have the first email deleted.
I’ll whore, too. I have a website- vegicat.com. I haven’t updated it for a couple of years because I’ve been a little busy getting divorced, but I sure hope that PYSIH can suddenly increase my traffic flow, and that they’ll come back tomorrow to check on my new content/changes.

Oh, wait. Do I have to say anything critical of PYSIH in order to get my new traffic surge?

This guy makes me laugh. And he never answered how in the world he is ‘representing the family in this matter’ as a ‘web designer’.

      Acckk.

Just in case there are any sane people out there that find this website offensive, there is indeed one way to put it out of business. Just email the companies whose links they post and ask them to “blacklist” pysih.com for their offsensive content. The only way to make this site disappear is to cut off their revenue source. Edmunds.com has already agreed to do so, and we expect that other reputable companies such as yahoo, google et. al. will follow suit shortly. Without a source of income, pysih.com will cease to exist. Perhaps there is some justice after all.

      Admin,

Can you guys put up a tip cup anywhere? A simple paypal link would be fine, something like what most webcomics do. Remember to list them as personal gifts from admiring fans. They should cover the pennies to dollar ratio of revenue you lose as you deal with this “issue.”

I’m in…I had a subscription where Paypal took 5 bucks from my CC every month to support my favorite Bittorent site, and that was just because I love Jimi Hendrix’s music. I’d be more than willing to do something like that here too….Censorship is a vile, disgusting practice, no matter how Mikey here or anyone else tries to dress it up.

      Max

DualDenz reply on May 19, 2008:

you go and try mate, feel free to complain all you want, if a revenue stream through adds wont do it anymore, a simple paypal donation button will likely be a good replacement. PYSIH has grown quite a bit as far as i can tell and people seem to like this place, so there’s no way we’ll let it die.

But this is not about me…what I was trying to say is:
Ads, be they affiliate or not, are ads. I doubt that you contacted edmonds and they perused this site and found it worse than a guy taking it up the arse from a great dane.

I think there’s a bunch of folks that want to turn the USA into a communist country like China. In China the government strictly regulates the Internet and media.
Hell, if you do anything the government doesn’t like, you die. I mean, people actually get the DP for white collar crimes in China! You know what? Go live in China, Matthew, where you belong. Apparently the USA has a bit too much freedom for you!
