Jayvion Galloway and Zecorey Marcus
This is 51-year-old Hae Sook Roh, who owned and ran a t-shirt shop called Shirt 6 in Gardena, California for the last five years or so.
A mother of two, Hae Sook Roh is dead now, after being shot, killed and robbed on the 19th of May, 2008 by two masked men who got away with…
$10.
Ok thieves, robbers, etc – I get it.
You want fast, easy money and you don’t want to work for it. You’d rather live like a parasite, stealing from those who do work and want to better themselves.
People running their own small business like 51-year-old Hae Sook Roh have enough to worry about without people coming into their store with guns to rob and shoot them.
According to investigators who are working on the case, the gunman who shot Hae Sook Roh was in his 20′s. He wore shorts, a black jacket and a white T-shirt. He covered his face with a bandanna, which is something his mother should have done when he was fresh out of the womb.
The friend he had with him was also about 20 years old and was wearing a blue shirt and blue jeans.
While we’re not sure who did this, People You’ll See In Hell and many, many other people would like to find out. If you have any idea, please contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500. There is a $10,000 reward being offered for information by the city of Gardena.
Update:
18-year-old Jayvion Galloway and 19-year-old Zecorey Marcus, two reputed Gardena gang members, have been charged in the robbery and slaying of Hae Sook Roh .
Investigators issued the video to the media, and the city offered a $10,000 reward. According to police, someone called up and offered a tip that five days before the Hae Shook Roh shooting, the same pair robbed Stue’s Dairy at 13126 South Western Avenue. in Gardena.
Police say that a tape of that crime allowed police to identify the suspects.
Zecorey Marcus was arrested on a robbery charge on the 23rd of May, 2008.
Jayvion Galloway fled California, but was caught on the 4th of June, 2008, in La Canada, Minnesota. Jayvion Galloway was arrested on suspicion of robbery.
On the 8th of September, 2008, both Jayvion Galloway and Zecorey Marcus were charged with killing Hae Shook Roh.
Prosecutors are expected to decide later whether to seek the death penalty. The pair will be back in court in October of 2008.

I offer my condolences to the Roh family.
I’m sorry for your loss.
for 10 bucks.
Hell, I read an article the other day that said the street pan handlers were making between 20 and 30 buck an hour! Go stand on the street and beg for 20 minutes, you’ll have your $10 and no one gets killed!
This is really sad.
I’ll say that Mrs. Hae Sook Roh was very brave. Why? Because her store is in Compton, California!
YIKES

I read an article that said it was $10 stolen then later it suggests that it was an undisclosed amount.
(look at the paper money falling to the floor)
Also, looking at the surveillance video, it seems as though the assailant wasn’t wearing any gloves. If so, they should be able to lift fingerprints from the cash register.
It appears as though the gun used wasn’t stronger than a 9mm. That recoil doesn’t look heavy. The shooter appears to be a black male, slim build, and approximately 5’10” in height.
Turtle,
Did you see she had her right arm extended and hand positioned as if she was holding something or pointing? Maybe the bad guy interpreted that as a taunt? I wish we had audio on the surveillance footage.
Another law abiding productive tax payer gone.
More money will be spent on those who robbed her, if caught, then spent to protect her.
A nice looking lady gone and two fuglt assholes still alive.
she had her store in Compton? that’s one place i wouldn’t want to be caught dead (excuse the pun)
If we are all civilized human beings, locations should not matter. It’s not like the shop was located in the Everglades and she was attacked by an aligator.
We can all say that Compton is a bad place and she shuld not have been there, this we are all letting it happen.
Instead we should be saying such should not happen anywhere and go after the scum.
Force the defense attys or lawyers to live there and see how nice Compton becomes!
That’s a big “IF”, Fred.
I know, but I felt it had to be said
Ok that drives me nuts….just cause it was Gardena…doesn’t mean that it couldn’t've happened anywhere else. There are plenty more hanoius (sp?) crimes in more up beat suburban neighborhoods. I hate the stereotype. It’s not strictly based on location, this could’ve and has happened other places. It’s the criminal and the excuse to pity the criminals. They’ll say they had such a horrible time growing up in Compton or where ever and get off easy. Just watch.
If you really wanna get stereotypical you can say that they were looking for her ghansta (grand)son who shanked someone and slept with someones baby mama and she just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.
That’s like saying all lesbians like pancakes….I don’t really care for pancakes myself.
I don’t think they would have done that to a store on the strip of Beverly Hills, California.
For me, Compton is a no, no.
See the money factor in a hit in Beverly Hills would be a lot more. I would take more time in planning that out to not get caught and get away with a whole lot more cash.
Look at the Jesse James Hollywood storing, they picked that kid up at practically a park in Suburbia…anything can happen anywhere.
You are absolutely right. Crime is everywhere!
That’s true folks.
But let’s talk about this exact same crime.
We will include the same cast and the same method of operation.
I doubt we’d see the same exact thing happen in an upscale part of Cali.
Sure there’s crime, but in upscale Cali, you’d have a different cast, and most likely a different M.O.
If I had to choose a place to do business it would not be Compton.
But for folks on a shoe-string budget, I bet Compton’s commercial leases are rather cheap. Hmmm. I wonder why?
The actually caught the two shooters. The were both from Gardena, where the ladies store was located (Not Compton)
Two reputed Gardena gang members have been charged in the brutal robbery and slaying of a Rosecrans Avenue shopkeeper, police announced today.
Jayvion Galloway, 18, and Zecorey Marcus, 19, both Gardena residents, are accused of killing Hae Sook roh, 51, who was shot to death May 12 as she worked behind the counter of her business, Julie’s Fashion at 2300 W. Rosecrans Ave.
“She put up no defense or anything,” Gardena police Lt. Uikilifi Niko said. “Talking to people in the community, she was very well liked. They could come into her shop and if they didn’t have any money, she would say, ‘Just bring it up when you can.’”
A surveillance camera captured the crime on tape. Investigators called it “ruthless” and unprovoked.
Just before the gunman walked in, Roh was counting money and putting it away. The gunman shouted “Give me the money.” When she backed away, he shot her.
As she screamed and collapsed, he shot her three more times.
Investigators issued the video to the media, and the city offered a $10,000 reward.
A tipster provided information that five days earlier, the same pair robbed Stue’s Dairy, 13126 South Western Ave. in Gardena, Niko said.
A tape of that crime allowed police to identify the suspects, Niko said.
Marcus was arrested on a robbery charge on May 23.
Galloway fled California, but was caught June 4 in La Canada, Minn. He was arrested on suspicion of robbery.
On Sept. 8, Galloway and Marcus were charged with killing Roh.
it was in the dailybreeze, a local newspaper of the South Bay area today.
Updated with information about accused killers, with possible sentencing information.
“Prosecutors have to decide whether to seek the death penalty.”
To me this one is a no brainer. You commit a robbery with a gun and kill an innocent hard working lady. You die.
A relative of one of the Murderers, Brandis Dennis is commenting on the Daily Breeze story. Really disturbing stuff…

I know you’re trying to communicate with us but it’s not making sense.
We have this wonderful thing in America. It’s called “grammar”. When you use it, people pay attention to what you have to say. Give it a try. Otherwise, join your cousin in hell.
