Patrick Kelly, Jamie Pittman and Shauntel Mayo
This is 41-year-old Patrick Kelly, also known as “Booger Red.”

Increasing the sexual appeal of Patrick Kelly to eligible women everywhere is the fact that he has been charged with a few counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child for forcing two kids – brother and sister – to have sex with each other in 2004.
Patrick Kelly is also being charged with engaging in organized criminal activity, because Mr. Kelly was a member of the Mineola Swingers’ Club – a group of “swingers” who went past “swinging” and went right into “sexual exploitation of many, many children.”
In March of 2005, the local Child Protective Services began investigating allegations of child neglect and drug abuse. They were lucky enough to find how deep human depravity could actually go when they came across several children – all under the age of 10 – who were suffering ongoing sexual abuse and exploitation. As a result of an investigation into the activities of Patrick Kelly and his cohorts, a whole slew of nasty goings-on was revealed.
There were many children involved in the sexual exploitation, three of whom were siblings that were foster children of 64-year-old John Cantrell. John Cantrell is a very poor choice for a foster parent program, because he has certain sexual preferences that pretty much fall under the “pedophile” category. John Cantrell, in addition to facing charges involving this mess, has also been charged in California of a few crimes, crimes like sexual penetration of a person under 14 and performing a lewd act upon a child.
Anyways.
At the time the crimes were discovered, the children were rather young. There was a 7-year-old girl, a 6-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl, along with their aunt, who was 6.
Investigators discovered some pretty upsetting things that had happened, things that the children were able to reveal once their contact with the adults involved was eliminated and the kids realized that they wouldn’t have to suffer any longer. During the trial of 36-year-old Jamie Pittman, the first of the gang to be brought to trial, the full scope of what went on at the Mineola Swingers’ Club was revealed.
Jurors were treated to a two and a half hour videotaped interview with Texas Ranger Sergeant Phillip Kemp, the oldest victim and her then-7-year-old brother. Their new foster mother was also there to help the kids feel a bit more comfortable.
During the videotaped interview, the girl was very cooperative, drawing a diagram and describing the inside of the club that the Mineola Swingers’ Club occupied. She described how there were two guards standing inside the front door. She mentioned how 45-year-old “Dennis” – who turned out to be Jamie Pittman’s older brother, Dennis Boyd Pittman – would sit at the front desk and collect money from people who came into the club to watch the movies of the children performing sexual acts.
Eight children were featured in the Mineola Swingers’ Club movies. The girl described how her brother had been forced to have sex with a teenage boy while Jamie Pittman ran the camera. Jamie Pittman was the cameraman of choice for the club, taping virtually all the movies, including the ones that the girl was in when she had sex with the other children. The movies were filmed in one part of the club and displayed in another part. The children made a new movie about once a week and were forced to watch their own movies, possibly with the intention of improving their performances.
The girl was paid in food. No sex, no food.
I had to do it or I wouldn’t get food for a week.
The girl was a little torqued that her brother got food and money, which she thought wasn’t very fair.
29-year-old Shauntel Mayo, the girlfriend of Jamie Pittman, was nice enough to teach the kids how to dance, how to move sexually and gave the Kindergarten-age kids sex tips. Shauntel Mayo came up with the great idea to teach the kids how to have sex by using dolls.
The first time the girl danced for someone, it was at Patrick Kelly’s house. She danced often for “Booger Red,” enjoying such delightful sights as Mr. Kelly choking a lady until she collapsed while her kids looked on, then dragging her body off into the night.
The kids were given Vicodin pills, which were called “silly pills” by the kids.
They made us feel like, to do anything. They made us feel silly and stuff … They made us crazy.
The boy wasn’t quite as forthcoming during his portion of the interview, refusing to talk about the things that had happened to him while he was being trained to be a sexual performer. He told the Sergeant that his sister had been forced to touch him sexually while they were being videotaped and that they played “doctor” for people. He named the other kids who also took “silly pills” and who played with him on camera. He mentioned that he liked getting money for working.
The girl said Jamie Pittman, Shauntel Mayo and “Booger Red” burned the costumes the children wore at the club and the videos they had made because they didn’t want Child Protective Services or anybody outside of the club to know about them. The girl told the Sergeant that the costumes were burned in a trash pile behind “Booger Red’s” house and that the trio told the girl not to tell anyone, she said.
The jury didn’t take long to return a guilty verdict for Mr. Jamie Pittman. Jamie Pittman received life in prison.
During Shauntel Mayo’s trial, the jury took even less time – 4 minutes – to return a guilty verdict. Shauntel Mayo, was charged with and found guilty of engaging in organized criminal activity and was sentenced to life in prison with two 20-year prison stays added to that for her role in two counts of sexual performance of a child.
John Cantrell, the foster dad for three of the victims in the Mineola Swingers’ Club case, was arrested on a California warrant charging him with aggravated sexual assault of a child for an alleged 1990 incident. The Charges were dropped in 2008 by a California Judge for lack of evidence and possible perjury by the state’s witnesses. I other words, he was railroaded by California prosecutors trying to make a name for themselves by getting a piece of this high profile case.
Patrick Kelly has also been charged with tampering with evidence for destroying evidence in the case, including such charming party favors as the costumes the children wore when they sexually performed for the audiences and videotapes of the children performing skits and having sex with each other. If found guilty of those tampering with evidence, Patrick Kelly will spend between two to 10 years in prison for that.
There are other people involved in this case, but honestly, do you even need to read anything else about it? Go out and hug your kids. Play some ball with them. Make them a sandwich and read them a story. Love and protect our kids, because there is evil in the world. There is evil freely walking around right now that would love nothing more than to satisfy the lust that it feels by corrupting what should be the most innocent and pure part of a human’s life – childhood.

This may be bad to say, but these children need to be watched closely, and consistently guided in the right direction. Poor things, there’s nothing worse than having your innocence forcefully and unwillingly taken away. My heart breaks for these kids. I agree with the person above who said these children will need to be closely watched. They will need years of therapy for what they have endured. Hopefully their new foster parents see to it that they get care and guidance. I hope that this case is widely WIDELY publicized. It would be a shame if the people in prison don’t know who they are… I hear people like these get lots of special treatment on the inside.

Now the US Supreme Court has ruled that laws allowing the death penalty for child rape are unconstitutional. The liberal justices are just plain against the death penalty, and gave not a thought to the kids in making this decision.

When some of my friends and I were discussing these scumbags (and what should be done to them) a few days ago, I said, “String ‘em all up and send ‘em straight to hell!” After I said that, the song “Beer for My Horses” (one of my personal favorites) popped into my head and I was humming it for the rest of the day.
Honestly, though, hanging’s too good for them. If I had it my way, I’d stake them to the ground near an anthill, smear honey on certain, uh, sensitive parts and let the ants do their job. These “people” aren’t human. They lost that distinction when they abused and exploited these innocent children.

In the article I read in the Houston Chronicle, it states that 50-100 people would come and watch every week. Only 6 people are charged in the crime.. None of those 50-100 people who saw this happening went to the cops. It took the little girls tattling to get authorities involved.
I think authorities need to find each and every one of those 50-100 perverts and investigate them to the fullest, if they can not get a conviction than if they have any children, CPS needs to investigate them to the fullest and see if their children are being abused.

I might suggest a solution to this:
Any person suspected of a sexual crime of any nature against a child shall be tried in the Federal Court System. If that individual is found guilty by a jury of their peers then the court shall be required to sentence that individual to Death within 180 days of the conviction. The accused will have full access to all appeal procedures and venues and if not fully exonerated by day 180, no stays and no out for mental conditions of any type, then the execution is to be carried out.
Now, I know many will whine this is cruel and unusual punishment and unconstitutional and that it will just tie up the Supreme Court with a case on the Constitutionality of it. Well boys and girls, not if we make it a Constitutional Amendment. That will make it constitutional and maybe when these pieces of pond scum realize they will be executed for touching our children then they will find a way to refrain, say self-castration.
For now, how about if we lock these pedophiles in a room for 5 years with adult rapists, we can even make it fair by shackling the pedophiles, then they can feel as helpless as the children they tortured.

Weren’t these scumbags making dirty videotapes of some of the children in Cantrell’s care? Sounds like he associated himself with them, if he was giving them access to his foster children. I did a search to see what charges that he had been cleared of, and couldn’t find if he had been cleared of the charges stemming from this particular case- just that the case in California had been dismissed because of the statute of limitations… Do you have a link, or more information for us so we will know what you are talking about? I really did try to look. And again, how did his foster kids end up being used as sex toys if he did nothing wrong?
Let’s make one thing crytal clear here. If there were any video tapes made of these children it was done PRIOR to the children being placed with the Cantrell family. If you have read anything else, it is erroneous information. John Cantrell in no way was or is associated with the other people mentioned in this article. The charges were dropped against John Cantrell and the judge could have extended the statute. However, the judge found that the alleged victim was not credible. So, the charges were not just dropped because of the statute. It was because there was more information available to him than has been presented on the internet and he saw through the lies and contradictions I’m sure.

No, the statute of limitations had expired in the 1990 California case. in order to prosecute those charges, the victim’s statement needed to be corroborated. Her sister’s statement was supposed to back up the victim, but the judge found it completely unbelievable.
He may be completely innocent, who knows. It seems just as likely he got off on a technicality, since when asked to testify against Patrick Kelly, John Cantrell took the 5th. My opinion is he was too close to all these slimeballs to not have gotten slimed a bit himself.

diana the cantrells took the children in after the abuse at the club, they have the children, they are the ones that went against the police that closed the case and started working with the texas rangers the cantrells are the heros that saved these kids lives.
max, john was in the middle of a trial in calif. not related to this case and his attorney wouldn’t let him tesify he would have gladly sent him away for what booger red did to johns daughters and son. John does not know that croud that hurt the kids.
