This is 33-year-old Daniel Allen Everett.
Despite what his WWE t-shirt claims, Daniel Everett is not the “World’s Greatest Dad.” Really, it’s like they just let anyone buy those shirts now.
No, Daniel Everett is just another sexual predator with a yahoo account that was caught in the latest of a series of Internet sex stings conducted by the office of Michigan’s Attorney General.
Daniel Allen Everett was using the yahoo nickname “danmichelle2004” when he started chatting up what he thought was 14-year-old girl. If he’d only stuck with his claimed hobby of “spending more time with my family,” perhaps Daniel wouldn’t be in this mess.
Instead, Daniel Everett and the “girl” he thought was a dream come true had several extremely graphic sexual conversations over a period of time.
Eventually, Daniel became so comfortable with this “girl” that he decided that he wanted to meet the object of his infatuation and introduce her into the world of man/girl sex.
Sadly, on the 15th of July, 2008, when Daniel traveled to a nearby town to meet up with his beloved for their sexual tryst, he found the police waiting for him.
Attorney General Mike Cox took the opportunity to remind the voters how tough he is when he made this public statement:
Today’s arrest is a reminder that a parent can pose a threat to our children. And no matter how “great” a criminal thinks they are, if you intend to harm or solicit children, my office is coming after you.
Daniel Everett has been charged with one count of child sexually abusive activity and one count of using the Internet to commit child sexually abusive activity. Each of those charges can possibly result in 20-year prison sentences.
Daniel Allen Everett posted a $50,000 cash bond and was released, pending trial.

That sucks.
At least you could send him off to a glory-hole and make him think it’s his 14-year-old girlfriend on the other side of the wall, but in reality it’ll be Olga Rutterschmidt or Helen Golay. Send him prison after he gets his rocks off.
Olga Rutterschmidt and Helen Golay’s life sentence includes blowing cons and backdoor services.

Now he faces a possible forty-years for an imaginary friend, a “ghost” rather. Yes, and he didn’t even get to wet his willy, but forty-years for intent. That sucks big time. If I were him, I’d hang myself in prison if given the chance.

Whats sick is that this kind of thing just solicits a “ho-hum” attitude, rather than the outrage we should all have about it.
The only reason this guy got any exposure at all (no pun intended) was because of the irony of the TShirt he was wearing when he was busted.
I wonder how this perv - “Worlds Greatest Dad” that he is - would feel if some dirty, scummy, sleezbag old fart wanted to explore man/girl love with his own daughter? Sick freak!

I don’t get it. I just read the post about Shakil Chowdhury who ACTUALLY raped a 12 year old, over and over again, and only got 6 years in prison. What Daniel did is wrong, yes, but he didn’t actually touch the girl and he may be getting 20-40 years? Something doesn’t add up.
But anyways- obviously this dude deserves hell for even thinking about doing such a thing. Sick bastard.

exactly Tress, that’s what I was saying just seemed…odd. The guy talks (or rather types) and gets a possible 40 years. Another rapes a girl 11 times, 6 of which he’ll admit and gets 6 years. That’s completely and totally fucked up. This guy I guess should have just found a girl, raped her and been “nice” about it and then bought her dinner and driven her home. I’m almost sick of this crap…shoot evil fucks for fucks sake and be done with it, or better yet, open gun laws, let me shoot an evil fuck legally when I see then fuck up!

You’d think “yay! They’ve stopped him before he hurt a kid.”
Just cause he got caught this time, that doesn’t mean that he hasn’t done this before and hasn’t sexed up a kid in the past. All though it is possible that this is going to stop him from committing this crime in the future, who says he hasn’t done it before.
Oh, and if I was going to meet some girl for the first time, regardless of age, hell would have to freeze over before I’d wear that shirt on a first date…come on?!?

I never worry about entrapment because as a rule I don’t put myself in positions of doing things I wouldn’t normally do. Getting busted for entrapment is like having to pay for the other 49 times you did something evil and got away with it.
Unless there is threats or violence involved, I’m all for entrapment. Don’t want to be entrapped? Don’t effin try to set up things that are illegal or morally wrong. I have no sympathy for whiners who get caught before they do some sick thing they planned to do. Fry, baby, crybaby.

Umm, doesn’t anyone understand why entrapment is wrong? Entrapment is when the authorities create crime and arrest people for their own purposes. Like this guy gets to be a platform for public ridicule and everyone’s political agenda in an election year. There never was a child in this situation, but he’s being charged for attempting to harm a child. Who’s being protected? Where is the sanity or reality to this situation? Why not just go one step further and grab people off the street for “suspicion of attempting to possibly…” Up to 40 years? This is astounding. The police shouldn’t create crime and they shouldn’t encourage it.

noone reply on July 21st, 2008:
I don’t have a daughter which is the point. There wasn’t anyones’ “daughter” in trouble. The police posed as a person that never existed. Putting people like this in jail is a waste of money and makes labeling others as a “sex offender” useless. Understand, he wasn’t going after a real 9 year old, but a non- existent 14 year old. One that was never at risk, because it didn’t exist. He is being prosecuted for a crime where there isn’t a victim. To me an imaginary or even a “possible victim” isn’t enough to waste the courts’ time. This is a huge issue, and really says something about this society where we prosecute people about actions that never happened towards victims that never existed.
Don’t think you yourself are immune to this. I see lots of people make the mistake thinking that they are good, righteous people. Have you ever considered that might not be the opinion of others? That maybe someone in a position of power might take advantage of you and think their actions to be righteous and without malicious intent?
Look the prosecutor for example, and the cops, and everyone in this comment section. People judge others in a mob to make themselves feel like good people, sometimes regardless if it is right and wrong. That seems to be the whole point of this website I’m finding. It acts as a drug to make people feel good by condemning others, no matter if they know these people personally or if they were directly effected by their actions. That’s why none of you care that the police made up “victim” here. That’s why you all call for his punishment and in some cases his death.
If you are so concerned about children, ask yourself what kind of warped reality and what kind of law you want future generations exposed to. The United States has the largest criminal population per capita in the world. That number will only climb as cases like this increase and it will become only more irrational in how people are prosecuted. I don’t need this man in jail to make me feel safe. What will make me feel safe is a justice system that doesn’t seek to merely make the mass public feel righteous and to fill the ever expanding prisons built one after the other in this nation. This is a loose cannon.

He should know by now that he’d get caught. The article doesn’t say how it went down. But I have a feeling he came on to “her” online.
[Reply]
noone reply on July 21st, 2008:
It doesn’t matter that he got caught doing this. It is a bad standard of law. Now he’s a statistic. Some politician is going to use him by saying “I’ve put away 3000 child sexual predators” in some campaign speech. It isn’t the same as he put away 2 people who actually raped children and then 2998 saps like this guy. I don’t care if it was on TV. This is about asking what a real crime is and what appropriate punishment according to the law is.
I knew a young lady in my town who worked as a bar tender. There was a man checking IDs at the door. At her bar, no one under 21 is allowed in. Everyone must have a valid ID. One night cops “in disguise” came in, and showed a valid state ID at the door. They walked to the bar and ordered a drink. When she served them, they arrested her in what they called sting operation, and charged her with serving alcohol to minor. This is nearly an identical circumstance. There never was a minor, procedure was followed, and she faces jail time and fines regardless. The cops should be going after people who actually commit crimes. I didn’t know they had so much free time they would encourage crime and snoop and troll around until they convinced or presented an opportunity to people to commit them.
They did this in New York. They left wallets on subway platforms and waited to for people to pick them up. When the people did, they were charged with stealing. Cops shouldn’t be committing these acts. They themselves are an affront to basic freedoms and sound law (not that I believe that is possible, considering)
People are making a mistake here. This guy in the article is guilty of this too. The mistake is, the internet isn’t real and people shouldn’t try to let it seep into their reality. That’s why we have such sub-standards for reality today. We tolerate so-called “crimes” like this to happen. This is a virtual crime. A simulacra of a crime. That isn’t crime. It isn’t reality. It is entrapment.
[Reply]
TurtleMania reply on July 21st, 2008:
I understand what you’re saying. IMO, IF he came on to “her”, he is guilty as charged.
If the officers did some underhanded, slick willy thing, they should release him.
That’s how I see it.
Silly of Dan to attempt this knowing they broadcasted that predator show many, many times. He doesn’t live under a rock. He knows about WWE, come on.
What made him think he’d never get caught solicting someone underage? Don’t forget they do have online chat laws that say these sorts of things are illegal.
No one is exempt.
Entrapment is against the law. If the boys in blue want us to abide by the law then they must do the same thing. But like I said, this was not entrapment because more than likely, he came on to “her”.
JMHO
Mazzi reply on July 21st, 2008:
Entrapment in general is wrong, however there is a legal principle that requires that a “substantive” part of a crime be committed before a person can be charged with the crime.
In the case of child molestors, using this principle would mean that in order to arrest a predator, they would have to catch him at the time he made physical contact with the child. This is impossible to set up, because it would put real live children at risk, obviously. And waiting until AFTER he has molested means that the child is irreverably harmed.
I think in these types of cases, it is a lesser of two evils. The fact that this man took the steps to meet with what he THOUGHT was a young girl, means that he would have done the same had it been an actual girl. That is evidence of an intended crime.
Now, it really comes down to the evidence in each case. The communications should be evaluated to see if HE initiated the meeting or the sex talk, or if the decoy did. If the decoy did, then he is still a child molester, but it is unfair to prosecute him. If he initiated it, then there is no question, and he should be off the streets ASAP - before he can get ahold of a real 14 year old.
Believe me, I am aware of the chipping away of our rights, and I am as worried about it as anyone. I actually scream at the TV when I hear some of the stupidity that we allow to happen every day - taking more and more of our freedom from us. BUT - I am even more angry at people who harm the vulnerable in our society, the children, the elderly and the disabled. When these victims are involved, I say all holds barred. Get them off the streets now, ny any means necessary. The potential victims matter much more than the criminal’s rights.
Mazzi reply on July 21st, 2008:
oops, I meant NO holds barred! And “ny any means” should be “BY any means”.

No matter if it wasn’t a real 14 year old. That’s not important. They have said many times they would crackdown and increase online laws to protect children. Every medium from Google to Microsoft have increased their stances against harm to minors online. He get’s another ten years for not reading the Yahoo agreement.

But they aren’t protecting children. They are enticing people to have sex with children by posing as children. Why isn’t that treated with the same level of disgust? I find it really unnerving. I’d rather they didn’t set up sting operations or stage entrapment. I’d rather they catch and prosecute actual criminals. As in, “people who have committed a crime” not “people who were given an opportunity to commit a crime wherein those individuals may or may not have done so if the false opportunity was presented, etc, etc.”
I don’t support punishing crime based on a possible alternate reality. I don’t believe that if there wasn’t a cop there in the place of the 14 year old, it would have been the most innocent dearest girl YOU know. The reality still stands, there was no girl. Reality is paramount here. There was no girl! No Victim. No child. No crime!
[Reply]
Mazzi reply on July 22nd, 2008:
OK that is a SICK statement! “They are enticing people to have sex with children by posing as children”. How can a non-pervert be ENTICED to have sex with children? Could you? I sure as hell could not be ENTICED to have sex with a child, under any circumstances.
What you are basically saying is - let the perverts do whatever they want to the kids, then we will come in afterwards, arrest and punish them. Hello? Are you serious?
Certainly if the sick fuck DOES hurt a kid, they need to be punished, but if we can PREVENT it, that is 1000% better. The perv is in jail, and at least SOME kids are safe.
And if we have to give up one more sliver of our personal freedom for the sake of the innocent children, then I am willing.

Ummm I don’t follow your reasoning because obviously you have not the slightest clue!! If you had been to the PJ site, you would have known better…
“Information Sharing Agreements
As you may have seen on our multiple Dateline NBC broadcasts, we work exclusively with police. We have several hundred information-sharing agreements with agencies from local police to the Department of Homeland Security – and you’re more than welcome to join forces with us as well. We essentially strive to serve as a tool for you to use; not every department will have the manpower or the hours to actually go out into the chat rooms, and we fill that role for you and provide incontrovertible documentation of what we do. We’ve established a solid evidence chain using our tried and true protocols and our innovative, in-house created software. Our volunteers work irregular hours (and in some cases, hours that detectives cannot work) and are trained exclusively on how to make solid, easily prosecutable cases that are guaranteed to put internet predators in jail – and we provide this service for free.”
