@becky, the armpit of Dallas? You must live somewhere classy like Mesquite. I’ve lived in Garland for almost 20 years and have never felt in danger. This happened in walking distance from my home and even then I wasn’t afraid. Obviously they guys were caught within 2 days so I’m going to go ahead and say my feelings of security are just.

For some reason, his post (which substituted 6′s for the g’s in Ye Olde N-Word) remins me of those people who, upon sniffing something rancid from the fridge will say “Eeew! That’s disgusting! Here, smell this!” as if the rest of us really should experience that same funk so we can take solace in our mutual humanity. GAH! ;)

John, if you don’t feel comfortable spelling a word, perhaps you shouldn’t be using it at all. You don’t like spelling it – good on you. Most of the rest of us are disgusted that you’d even think of using it, or any racist remarks at all – good on us.

This isn’t about race. There’s enough here to be mad about, without resorting to that petty, cowardly tactic. Man up, and stop with the racism.

I bet you break bread with black folks, date black women, and are a card-carrying member of the Southern Poverty Law Center, the legal aid organization founded by lawyer morris dees for victims of racism, anti-semitism and homophobia. lol – i give odds that you work as dees’ sycophant mr. smithers.
