This is how mankind thinks. He seems like a good person or he is going through a lot so he deserves this or that. However, Jesus does not base goodness on the outward or circumstance. He bases it on the heart. So, if the Harpers would have truly had a relationship with Christ, they would have had the mind of Christ. Their hearts wouldn't have been infested with greed and pride.
