Lloyd Sherwood
Just so everyone knows, 66-year-old Lloyd Luis Burrlin Sherwood, most recently of Williston, Florida, is a pedophile and a child molester.
We just wanted to make that perfectly clear.
Lloyd Sherwood has a carpet cleaning business in Williston, Florida. We are not sure how that business is going, but we’re fairly sure that if we ever need carpet cleaning services while we’re in Williston, we won’t be calling on Mr. Sherwood. After all, there has to be someone else who is willing to clean carpets in that town that doesn’t want to take nude pictures of your very, very young daughters.
On the 16th of August, 2008, Lloyd Sherwood was traveling from Williston to Michigan. At about 10 at night, he stopped in a Waffle House in Whitfield County, Georgia.
Traveling with Lloyd Sherwood was a 4-year-old girl and her 6-year-old sister. The girls were both wearing miniskirts and had lip gloss on. They probably felt very pretty, sitting as they were in the Waffle House with good ol’ Lloyd Sherwood.
A waitress named Karen Griggs who was servicing the table that the trio was sitting at noticed Lloyd take the older girl to the bathroom, and thought nothing of it.
For 14 minutes.
On the 15th minute, Lloyd Sherwood brought the 6-year-old back to the table and told Karen Griggs that they were ready to order. Lloyd put an order in and Karen made small talk with the group. The girls told her proudly that they were going camping in Michigan. They also mentioned that Lloyd wasn’t their daddy, that their daddy was “at home.”
Karen Griggs went to put the order in and noticed that Lloyd Sherwood had now taken the 4-year-old to the bathroom.
Something didn’t quite feel right to Ms. Griggs, who went outside and looked at the car Mr. Sherwood had driven up in. When she didn’t see any camping gear in his car, she decided that a call to local law enforcement was in order.
She made the right call.
Police arrived and began to question a visibly nervous Lloyd Sherwood, who was fiddling with a digital camera. They asked Lloyd where they were all headed and how he knew the girls. Mr. Sherwood told the nice officers that he was a family friend and had permission from the girls’ father to take them on a camping trip.
And he did. Really.
Authorities contacted the father of the girls, who told the police that Lloyd Sherwood was a family friend and that they were all supposed to be on a camping trip…
…in South Florida. He supposedly didn’t know anything about Lloyd taking his daughters out of state.
The officers also asked Lloyd Sherwood if he had taken the girls to the bathroom. Mr. Sherwood eloquently replied:
Yes, I took her to the restroom. I had to show her how to clean herself so that thing won’t get to stinking.
Officers asked if they could check out that neat camera that Mr. Sherwood was holding and Lloyd handed it over. Going through the recently taken pictures that were still on the camera, officers found a delightful assortment of completely inappropriate photos that Lloyd had taken of the girls.
According to the police affidavit, the pictures on Lloyd’s camera showed:
Young females running around in nothing but panties… more pictures showed a girl who appeared to be nude with her legs in the air… and others focused on a girl’s genitalia.
The father of the two girls did tell the police that Lloyd Sherwood had possibly, maybe given some indication of inappropriate interest in the girls in the past. He told police that one of his daughters had told him that Lloyd had taken a few naked picture of her in the past, and that he’d seen those pictures – but he had erased them as soon as he saw them.
According to the police affidavit, evidence was found in the Waffle House bathroom that indicated Lloyd, on his 15-minute trips to the bathroom with the girls, had both touched them on their genitalia and then had made the girls touch him on his genitalia. I will leave it to you, the People You’ll See In Hell reader, to decide what evidence the police found for yourself.
Officers decided that there was enough evidence to arrest Lloyd Sherwood for and charge him with aggravated child molestation. He was given a $25,000 bond – about as much of a bond as if he’d been carrying an open container of liquor.
The children were placed in the custody of the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services.
Does Lloyd Sherwood deserve Hell?

Okay….Mr. Not-Quite-Father-of-the-Year admitted that this pervert HAD been taking nude pics of his young daughters but still thought it a good idea that he allow said young daughters to go camping with this pervert?
I’m not buying innocence on the father’s part. Bet he was compensated by the pervert to take the girls camping.
Reminds me of the story I read yesterday where the couple was trying to pimp out their 5 or 6 year old daughter to pay for rent, a car, and CHICD CARE for their 10 month old.
On a more positive note – serious kudos to that waitress for following her instincts.
Agreed! People should follow their instincts more often when they think something is wrong, especially where children are concerned. Why isn’t ‘daddy’ on the poll? If he knew that something was up then there is no excuse for him allowing that sicko to run off with his daughters!

What evidence was found in the bathroom? Thank GOD for that waitress. I think it is pretty obvious that the father was not at all innocent. I hope he was at least charge with endangering a child. It always blows my mind how many sickos there are in the world.
I total agree – Karen Griggs is a heroine! Ms. Griggs, if you ever happen to read this – you have my respect and admiration!
It’s not always easy to make that step, to make that call. What if we are wrong? What if we cause unnecessary grief to an innocent man? What if (God forbid) CPS gets involved, and he loses his kids, unjustly? We have all heard the stories of people “wronged” by the system.
But Ms. Griggs followed her heart and her head. There MAY have been a legitimate, logical reason for his behavior (The girl could have some medical condition that would require an extended bathroom visit, for example). But when things just don’t seem right, it’s better to assume that they aren’t right – and let him explain himself if they are ok.
I am a huge believer in peoples right to privacy and autonomy, but the protection of children outweighs all that, at least in my mind.

How sad that the little girls must have thought that this type of attention from a ‘family friend’ was normal. the story doesnt mention that they put up a struggle or came out the bathroom crying.

I have a sneaking suspicion that there will be more to this story. I think Daddy knew exactly what was going on. And it makes me sick to my stomach.

Karen griggs may have save the girls’ lives. Unless one lives near the borders, it’s just a little on the hard side to just accidentally leave Florida. Even Rhode Island can be big when lost!
Maybe the girls could have been retarded and needed extra help in the bathroom, but then again I think Karen griggs sounds intelligent enough to know the difference between someone who truely needed help versus someone who could take care ofthemselves.
The father at best is a stupid fuck, but more likely could have a role in this as well. At this point I do not know if the noose needs to hold 1 dick or 2.
Who lets their girls go camping with a man??? No man in his right mind wants to take your kids camping, unless he wants to do something to them.
I am a VERY overprotective mother. I trust my instincts above all else and if someone even gives me an off feeling, ( i think there is something about people, like when you smeet someone and you get that dirty old man feeling and it makes your skin crawl…) then i wont let them around my kids.
Now if i knew for a fact that someone had taken naked pics of my children, i would make sure that person was never, ever within shouting distance of my kids ever again.
The father is this story is either a) A dumb fuck. Or b) A sick fuck.
Either way he is also accountable for what happened to his daughters.

Waitress Karen Griggs says:
“Normally I work first shift, but somebody laid out that night so I had to work second,”
Griggs believes she was working that shift, and that table for a reason.
“Whenever I looked into those little girl’s eyes, God put it in my heart that something was wrong,” Griggs says.
Griggs says, maybe it was because she herself had been molested as a child, but whatever the reason, she decided to talk to the girls, who told her they were from Florida, heading to Michigan on a camping trip. Griggs says she asked the girls if Sherwood was their grandfather, and they would only reply “My daddy’s at home.”
But it was when the man took one of the girls to the bathroom that Griggs got a feeling she can’t explain. “The man went to the bathroom with the smallest child for about fifteen minutes,” Griggs says. “It just gave me the creeps.”
Griggs went outside and checked out Sherwood’s car and didn’t see any camping gear. She told her husband she wasn’t leaving until she called police.
“I told them that there was an old man and two little girls.. and if it was nothing wrong, I’m sorry, but please go check it out,” Griggs recalls.
Police questioned Sherwood, and according to their affidavit, while he was talking to detectives, he was playing with a camera.
Sherwood allowed police to look at the pictures and the affidavit states what they saw was inappropriate. “Young females running around in nothing but panties… more pictures showed a girl who appeared to be nude with her legs in the air… and others focused on a girl’s genitalia.”
The father admitted to police that there had been warning signs: one of his daughters had previously told him that Sherwood had taken naked pictures of her in the past. The father told police he saw those pictures, but erased them.
According to the affidavit, detectives uncovered more than just pictures. They say they found evidence that when Sherwood took the girl to the Waffle House bathroom, he touched the little girl and then made the child touch his private parts.
Police say, a suspected child molester is off the streets because Griggs trusted a hunch.
“It feels great. It touches my heart,” Griggs says. “”If you have a feeling that something is not right, call the police.”
There was also a talk on the web of Karen Griggs being fired and they are not true.
“Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention… We are very proud of the actions taken by Ms. Griggs and are proud to have her as one of our Associates.
The information you received is false! Ms. Griggs was not fired for talking to the media. In fact she is working today.
This part of the story makes me feel good. People like you and me can make a difference just like Ms Griggs did. And isnt that why we post here in the first place? I mean, we see this shit happening everyday in the news and we feel angry because we are powerless to help. This makes me feel not so powerless. And even if its only one child in a lifetime that you help…its better than none.

The two of you, along with the “veterans” like Turtle, Mulch and Miwist (to name just three) who know I love’em, keep me coming back to this site day after day, make me want to put the effort into finding the most current info on the scumbags of the day and writing up an update, and have inspired me to start writing again after a long long period of inactivity. As you can tell from my posts, I’m no John Steinbeck, I’m not even a Fred Steinbeck, but it’s good to know my brains aren’t totally fried after all the years of being a human garbage can where drugs were concerned.

Good LORD Karen Griggs is GREAT! Nasty ol’ man not so much.. I say he deserves HELL and the 2 girls need therapy and a new family.
The father deserves the Noble Prize as the crappiest father of the year. Preferably, the award giving ceremony should be held in hell.
