This is 34-year-old Troy Anthony Gooch, who really prefers to go by just plain ol’ Troy Gooch.
When Troy Gooch was 19 – back in 1993 – under the cover of darkness, Troy broke into the house of a family that had a young teenage girl. After confronting the girl while carrying a knife, Troy attempted to rape the teenager.

The police arrived, arrested Troy and took him to jail, where he was charged with one count of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and one count of breaking and entering an occupied dwelling. Troy Gooch eventually pled out, copping to both a third-degree criminal sexual conduct charge and breaking an entering.
Sentenced to a 5 to 15 year prison term in 1994, Troy Gooch stayed in prison for just about 8 years before being paroled in April of 2002.
For a while after being released, Mr. Gooch was a good boy, as far as we know.
As far as we know, during a six-year span of time Troy didn’t rape anyone, or molest anyone, or do anything that he shouldn’t.
But at four in the morning on the 31st of August, 2008, Troy Gooch messed up again.
That was when a 13-year-old girl who was sleeping over at a friend’s house – a house located on the same street that Troy Gooch’s house is located – met Troy face-to-face.
While the owners of the house knew and were friends with Troy, they weren’t expecting him to walk in at four in the morning. They certainly weren’t expecting him to have a knife, and probably didn’t think he’d come after their teenage houseguest.
After walking into the house, Troy Gooch threatened to stab the girl, holding a knife on her and forcing her to go down into the basement with him. Troy told the girl that she was going to go into the crawlspace under the home with him. When Troy Gooch reached for the duct tape, the 13-year-old started to fight to get away from him.
She kicked, screamed and punched at Troy and finally succeeded in creating enough noise and commotion to alert the other people in the house, who called the police.
Troy Gooch used a convenient basement window to make his escape after the teenager ran back upstairs. While he was able to make his way back home, Troy was arrested when the police and the family whose house the girl was staying at were given enough of a description to identify Troy as the girl’s assailant.
Troy Gooch was charged with one count of kidnapping of a child under the age of 14, one count of kidnapping with the intent to commit sexual penetration, one count of assault with intent to commit sexual penetration and one count of accosting a child for immoral purposes.
If convicted, Troy Gooch could be sentenced to a term of life in prison. Once in prison, he will be unlikely to be given the opportunity to rape another little girl.

I remember hearing that if an assailant brings restraints, and tries to take you elsewhere to assault you, he is very likely going to kill you and you’re better off fighting on the spot.

The defense recorded a preemptive objection to the calling of a new witness.
The police responded pretty quick to this crime and Tony was caught coming out his back door. Tony says he was on the way to turn himself in, ( Yah right , we belive that ) Its a real shame he didnt resist arrest. The prosecutor did not want to go to trial because of the victim’s testimony. I think the guy should of went to trial-they would of torn this girl apart. I would like to clarify that he did not confess. I got my hands on the police report and the report along with other documents have been sent off to be reviewed by the attonrey general’s office for misconduct on this case. I would recommend you guys checking the appropriate court website for truth about this case instead of making up your own events of what happened. At the beginning of this page at the top with Mr. Gooch’s picture your events and description of what happened and where it happened at our false. If you can take the time to make this crap up you should spend a few bucks to get the police report and find out the actual events. You should also retreive the copies of the transcripts from when the girl took the stand. But of course you don’t want to do that because then you and everyone else would like like assholes! I believe that when they commit a sex crime against children and women that part of the punishment should be Castration, because these people cannot be cured pure and simple. Then they should be put in jail amongst the mainstream population and not on a Vunerable Prisoners unit, and let the whole of the jail know what they have done. Why should we put these scum buckets in jail and protect them, if we can.t protect our children when we are not told that a pedaphile is living near our children. Then why should these bastards be protected. The victim is never considered but the perp always is, it time to stop and start protecting the innocent ones
