  • Uriel Perez Palacios

German and Erika ClouetThis happy-looking and beautiful couple is comprised of construction worker German Clouet and elementary school teacher Erika Clouet.

After meeting each other through their families eight years ago, they began to date. In July of 2008, they finally tied the knot. They finally tied the knot in July.

Erika was a teacher at Paul Keyes Elementary school and was loved by her students. More than anything, the Clouets were looking forward to having kids.

    That will never happen now.

Less than two months after German and Erika’s families came together for a joyous occasion, they came together for quite possibly the the saddest one - German and Erika’s funerals.

Because we’re sure that you’re chomping at the bit to know how they died, here’s 22-year-old Urial Perez Palacios.

Urial Perez PalaciosUriel Perez Palacios is one of those people that likes to drink - often.

Uriel is also one of those people that has no problem getting behind the wheel after having a few, as his record shows.

Uriel Perez Palacios has been arrested four times for DWI, twice for getting involved in high speed chases, with a nice assortment of weapons charges and drug charges thrown in for flavor. Quite an impressive list for a 22-year-old.

With the efficiency of our justice system, such a person wouldn’t be out and still driving around, would he? Oh wait, no. For those of you who are familiar with PYSIH.com, it should come as no surprise that the justice system dropped the ball on yet another one.

After Uriel’s third DWI arrest, a breathalyser was placed in Uriel’s truck, one that would keep Urial from driving if he couldn’t blow a properly non-alcoholic breath. Uriel Perez Palacios, of course, failed it numerous times - and in April of 2008, District Judge John Cruzot ordered Palacios jailed on $100,000 bail, deeming the original bail of $3,500 insufficient.

    Good!

Inexplicably, two weeks later he reinstated the original $3,500 and ordered Uriel Perez Palacios to again comply with the original breathalyser requirements that worked so well.

    Bad!

In what could very well be the biggest shocker of the year, Uriel Perez Palacios didn’t comply with the court’s orders. On the 29th of June, 2008, Uriel was arrested for DWI a fourth time by the Garland police department. However, nobody there apparently bothered to check if Uriel Perez Palacios had any warrants or priors on him, as he was allowed to post a measly $500 bail and walk out the door

Meanwhile, back in Judge Crouzot’s courtroom, the substance that made him an idiot wore off and he finally issued a warrant for Urial’s arrest and ordered him held on $550,000 bail. In total, Uriel Perez Palacios now had four active warrants out for his arrest

Those warrants would never be served. On the 1st of September, 2008, German and Erika Clouet and several other innocent people would pay for the stupidity and incompetence of the legal system when it comes to drunks.

Like many other people over the Labor Day weekend, Urial went out and got hammered. And, per habit, he decided to drive afterwards.

Erika RosalesWith him was Erika Rosales, a 20-year-old Uriel Perez Palacios had just met at a nightclub. Drunk and in no condition to drive, she took Urial up on his offer to drive her home.

She never made it. For that matter, neither did German or Erika Clouet.

On the way home from the club, Uriel Perez Palacios was pulled over by a police officer who spotted him weaving through traffic. During the stop, the officer smelled the obvious reek of alcohol on Uriel’s breath and asked Urial to give up his keys and step out of the car.

Urial’s response was to put the pedal to the medal with his lights off.

The pursuit didn’t last long. Uriel Perez Palacios ran through a red light and collided with a SUV carrying five Southern Methodist Students. The impact sent Uriel’s car through the air where it proceeded to land on German and Erika’s car while they were returning home from the movies. The newlywed couple was killed instantly.

The injuries among the SMU students ranged from a sprain wrist to a broken arm. Psychologically the long term effects are sure to be worse

Urial’s passenger Erika had to be cut out of the car and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. While she has since opened her eyes, she still has broken and fractured bones all over her body, a collapsed lung and swelling in her brain. Her long term prognosis is unknown but it’s likely she’ll need some type of care for the rest of her life.

And, as you are all aware, none of this had to occur if only the people in the justice system had done their jobs correctly.

And what do the people who enabled this murderer to still be on the streets have to say? The Garland police, whom had a chance to keep him behind bars after his last arrest, said they simply don’t have time to run every name through the computer for warrants. Garland sounds like a good place to get arrested if you’re a fugitive. You could be wanted for killing ten people or blowing up a building and they wouldn’t know it.

Judge Crouzot said that since Urial’s third DUI case is still open before his court that he can’t comment.

Translation: I screwed up royally but rather than admit it I’m going to hide behind some legal mumbo jumbo instead of admitting it.

Captain Mark Howard of the Dallas County Sheriff’s office made the only statement that admitted that yes, the system failed, stating:

He should have been in jail, unfortunately he wasn’t. And that’s the systems fault.

Yes, it is Captain Howard. Yes it is.

As for Uriel Perez Palacios he was admitted to the hospital in critical condition but eventually got well enough to be released straight into jail. While he was originally charged with two counts of intoxication manslaughter, those charges have since been upgraded to murder. For once, he is being held without bail.

However, there is still no reason to deprive Uriel Perez Palacios of his alcoholic beverages. To me, it seems that a nice Captain and Coke with a splash of cyanide would be the perfect drink for Urial. This way he can have one last drink before he goes straight to hell.

Does Uriel Perez Palacios deserve Hell?

I’m thinking that Uriel shouldn’t have to drink alone. After all, he’s the life of the party and he’s got a lot of friends that can join him….

Let’s grab the judge… The prosecutor… The Sheriff… The lazy cops and add send them some invitations too… After all, what’s a party if we can’t let every one ejoy a little pill with their drink?

wow. i am not ever surprised by these cases anymore. my little brother was killed by a drunk driver several years ago. not too far from Garland, actually. the guy who did it had 3 prior DWI’s. of course, much like this waste of space Uriel here, he escaped the ‘accident’ pretty much unharmed. in my line of work we see that alot. the drunks almost always pop out of the car without a scratch. much like my brother’s killer, Uriel here should have never been alowed to be out on the streets. what gets me is, WHY did he have a driver’s liscense? after so many times, a breathalyser obviously did no good. wait, screw that. these people will drive with or without a liscense. but it should have been taken away long ago. nice ball dropping.

If the cop had shot the POS, the cop would be in trouble and we’d never have known what could have been prevented.

Maybe drunk drivers, like this one, should have a kill switch built into their car such that a cop could shut the guy down at a stop. But then again I am sure that most such vehicles wil be rewired.

His defense atty needs to go to hell as well.

As for Uriel, how’s about those head handles, hey folks? I did some research, and found out his ears weren’t always like that. The Story goes that he found an old oil lamp in his grandmother’s attic, and he kind of liked it, so he started to shine it up with his hand. Low and behold, a genie popped out of the lamp, and believe it or not, she looked just like Barbara Eden. The genie told Uriel he had three wishes as a reward for freeing her from the lamp, but warned him not to request anything from her personally, because it violated the rules, and he would forfeit his wishes. He quickly used 2 of them on untold riches and good looks. Of course, true to form, Uriel was drunk, and thinking he was all that and some chocolate sauce, thought the Barbara Eden genie was super hot and could never resist his charms, wished to have some sex with her. She told him, “Now I told you that’s not possible, I couldn’t have sex with you even if I wanted to. Please make a different wish”. and Uriel, being the drunken fool that he is, uttered those famous last words, “OK then, how about a LITTLE HEAD”.

Ummm…. I don’t know about Garland, but where I work all I have to do is get on the radio and ask my dispatchers to run a persons name for warrants. Takes about five seconds. Really. I don’t work for a huge agency, but it’s not small either. Somebody really dropped the ball about those warrants. Unfortunately this is to tragic to say ‘I hope he learned his lesson.’ So tragic. I am kind of in the mood to resort to my usual opinion. This is why I think it is ridiculous for Marajuana to be against the law while anyone can walk into a bar or LQ store and buy a license to kill! Argue all you want. I am right. Marajuana is a also a super plus for anger management. Again I am not trying to fight that battle, but I can’t help but trigger everytime someone brings up alcohol. I created an awesome mass media video on the comparison “The effects of Alcohol vs. Marajuana”, so forgive me for always jumping on that ban wagon. I’ve researched the facts. :o) Plus I am kind of mellow tonight.

      [Reply]

Amy reply on September 27th, 2008:

Marajuana is, like alcahol alright when not used in excess.
I started smoking weed when i was 19. It was cool. It made me laugh and being the shy gal at every and any event, i was glad that it took away some of my shyness.
I would have a little stashed away and on a Friday night after work i’d smoke a joint.
      Like i said…it was cool, and i was 19.
Then the more abusive my partner got, the more i used it to mask my reality.
I stopped smoking throughout both my pregnancies, but by the time my youngest son was 1, i was smoking full on again.
It got to the point that i was smoking bucket bongs for breakfast lunch and dinner.’
I only felt normal when i was stoned and i didnt like relying on anything just to feel normal.
So i quit cold turkey. I havent smoked since then. Maybe i have an addictive personality, i dont know. Since then ive had three more children, and i realize how i missed some of the little details of when the oldest two were younger. I will never smoke again. Ever.
It was fine when it was a little bit, sometimes…but like booze, when it becomes an addiction and you cant function without it, it becomes bad. And dangerous. I often look back and think how lucky i am that the house didnt burn down, because i doubt i would have been able to think straight enough to get the children out, or that i didnt have a car to drive at the time, because i could have done some real damage to my kids.

      [Reply]

Dena reply on September 27th, 2008:

You wouldn’t have been able to think straight enough to get your children out of a burning house? On marijuana alone? Seriously? Marijauna may slow your reaction time down a by a couple seconds, but it doesn’t make you do things you wouldn’t otherwise do. I can’t imagine smoking enough to make myself THAT stupid, unless I was starting with a really low IQ to begin with. I’ve been a pretty heavy pot smoker in the past, but I’ve never felt like I was too stoned to get children out of a burning building. Wow.

      [Reply]

Amy reply on September 28th, 2008:

Dena, you compleatly missed my point. What i was tying to get across, is that pot is ok when used in moderation.
As for the saving the kids bit…if you were once a heavy pot smoker, you would know that it slows your reflexes.
Children and substance abuse just dont mix…no matter what the substance.

Mageira reply on September 28th, 2008:

Amy, I completely understand your point and commend you for your honesty.
      Maybe Dena is in denial?
I’ve never been a massive smoker myself (I have enjoyed the ocassional joint in the past) but I’ve lived with two huge smokers and have seen exactly how badly that crap can mess with people’s heads and destroy people’s lives.
In fact, one of the girls I Iived with couldn’t function without a smoke first thing in the morning. She’s since quit, but has confided to me that she now requires anti-psychotic medication, which both she and her doctors believe is a direct result of her marajuana intake. Personally, I don’t doubt it.
Good on you for giving up- if you were at the point you say you were that must have been quite a struggle.

Amy reply on September 28th, 2008:

Thankyou…im glad someone got the point i was trying to make:))

GloryBug reply on September 29th, 2008:

Yeah, pot-smoking might slow your reaction time down a second or thirty. Problem is, you might need those seconds.

The guy who was high on pot and ran a red light because he admitted he just couldn’t stop in time and hit my fiance 2 weeks ago, totalling our car, probably has the same opinion. Luckily our car was an older Volvo station wagon (built like a tank), otherwise my fiance would have been seriously injured.

I have no problem with pot, but get real. Nobody should ever drive under the influence, whether it’s booze, drugs, pot or cough syryup. Pot-promoters undermine their legitimate cause when they make ludicrous claims such as that driving under the influence of that is safer than other substances.

Driving under the influence of ANYTHING is dangerous and selfish. Stay home with the remote and a bag of chips, ok?

What do you need Admin to make sure this site stays up, and the Gluttony category that includes people like Michael Gagnon, continues to be top rated and clearly Google indexed?

No time outs, no overage blocks, and no hackery? Spell out exactly what you need and let’s see if we can get it going.

admin - A dedicated server, which would solve the outages problems, is around 100 bucks a month or a little more. We had one with a friend, but he couldn’t get his income from his site going and quit. The problem is a combination of things, however. PYSIH.com takes a lot of my time, yet brings in very little income (seriously, like next to nothing), despite getting around 2-3k people a day. I’ve been recently working on other projects that DO make income, and they don’t require nearly as much in the way of work. This is more of a cathartic exercise for me, and I write when inspired and allowed the time.

PYSIH is in no danger of going away. The past week was rather busy for me. I’ll likely update tonight for tomorrow morning.

TurtleMania reply on September 29th, 2008:

That’s cool. I nixed that sponsor option because I thought we already tried the paypal thing. It just so happens the button was removed.
I assumed that plan wasn’t a good idea.

admin - Eh, I’m going to be removing virtually all the advertisements from the site in the next few days - especially the ads within the posts themselves. I’m going through all 700 posts and editing, updating, each of them. The polls were slightly screwed up when I had to update that plugin, so I have to go to each post and manually update it. 700 posts is a lot. A donation button will be put in a prominent position. But, I did get pulled over once for my inspection sticker being out. Lo and behold, the nice office DID have time to run MY driver’s license and guess what!!! It was suspended!! Guess what else. The “system” didn’t have time to let me know 3 YEARS EARLIER that I had failed to pay a no insurance ticket on time. Therefore, even though it was PAID IN FULL, I almost went to jail. TO JAIL I SAID!!! They had room in a cell and time for ME, but for a repeat drunk driver who finally killed somebody, ‘WE CAN’T RUN THEM ALL’. Give me a fucking break.

For all of you that don’t know….
Following this tragic loss of lives, it was determined that this idiot was involved in more than drunk driving!!!

About a week after this tragedy, the DEA- Dallas, TX office, had a huge raid… guess who was included?!?!?! Yep, that’s right Mr. Can’t Catch Me. Here is a link to the DEA news release http://www.usdoj.gov/dea/pubs/states/newsrel/2008/dallas091708.html.

Please note, not only is he an alcoholic, habitual offender, alleged drug trafficer and arms dealer,… he’s not a citizen. That means he probably wont get death. Go Figure!!!!
