This is 23-year-old Tristan Dedre Price.
Tristan Price seems to have a problem controlling his anger.
Normally, this might not be a bad thing. There are tons of people out there who make a living beating other people up, smashing things, crashing into things and generally working out their frustrations physically.
Unfortunately, Tristan Price is not one of those people.
Tristan lives with 27-year-old Tenessa Randall. They love each other very much, it would seem, because Tenessa Randall is regularly abused by Tristan Price but doesn’t seem to want to do much about it. Tristan has been investigated before for the abuse of Tenessa as well as the abuse of Tenessa Randall’s 4-year-old daughter, Tamyrill Randall.
Apparently, when he got a little upset about something, Tristan Price went around biting family members – leaving “two marks consistent with bite marks” that were found on each of Tamyrill Randall’s breasts. Those marks were seen by someone who reported them to the police, who started an investigation that went – nowhere. No charges were filed.
This, despite the fact that a forensic odontologist was able to exclude everyone in the home from making the bite marks, except for Tristan Price.
So Tristan Price stayed in the Randall home despite the abuse, and after Tenessa Randall left for work at about 6 in the morning, Tristan was alone in the home with his 4-year-old stepdaughter on the 26th of August, 2008.
That was the day that Tristan called 911, at about 10:30 in the morning, and claimed that Tamyrill Randall wasn’t responsive.
Emergency services rushed over to the Randall house and took the 4-year-old to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Tristan Price, talking to investigators, detailed how he had gone to Tamyrill’s playpen that morning to wake her up. When she didn’t wake up, he shook her. When that didn’t work, he picked her up and took her to the shower, where he ran some water over her in an attempt to revive her. After that, he said, he called 911 like any good citizen would do.
An autopsy was performed, which revealed some rather disturbing evidence of wrongdoing on the part of whomever had been with Tamyrill last.
According to Dr. Sunil Prasher, the death of the 4-year-old girl was not natural, that her injuries were rather severe and that some of them – three broken ribs – dated back weeks or even months prior to the girl’s death. In total, Dr. Prasher counted a bitemark on the girl’s shoulder, eight broken ribs and a liver that had almost been ripped in half.
The ribs broke again, along with another five breaks, and the laceration of the liver. The child’s lower cavity was filled with blood from the liver being split open.
A rather unpleasant way to die, but quick. Dr. Prasher believes that Tamyrill Randall died within minutes of receiving the injuries – which were consistent with someone “stomping on the child with a bare foot.”
After the police received the autopsy information, Tristan Price was arrested and is now facing first-degree murder charges, along with “unrelated domestic violence charges” involving Tenessa Randall.
Tristan Dedre Price made his first appearance before a judge on the 29th of September, 2008, where his charges were explained to him and his next court date was set. We’ll find out on the 7th of October, 2008 what Tristan has to say for himself.
Tristan Price’s brother, Michael Price, has told the press that Tristan would have no reason to harm the girl, none at all:
I want to get to the bottom of it regardless of the evidence. At least, if it’s presented and shows that he did do this, I will be fine and able to get closure.
Tenessa Randall has been rather vocal, occupying herself with making statements to the press and going online to make comments about Tristan Price. Tenessa has announced that she had just thought Tristan had been arrested for a simple domestic violence charge:
I just want to figure out what happened to my daughter. I don’t have any answers. Other people know more about the results of my daughter’s autopsy than me. One of my concerns is they’re going basically by past history and what they think they know about the Price family from legal documents.
Tenessa Randall is a bit upset with sheriff’s deputies who investigated her daughter’s death.
On a local news website that allows comments, Tenessa Randall was a visitor. Tenessa Randall, who is a classy, classy lady, had this to say:

WHEN TRISTAN WAS ORIGINALLY ARRESTED HE WAS ARRESTED ON DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, NOT MURDER, AND THERE WERE OTHER PEOPLE IN THAT HOUSE AT THE TIME OF MY DAUGHTERS DEATH, EXCLUDING MYSELF, OTHER PEOPLE THAT WERE NOT PURSUED LIKE TRISTAN, THAT BRINGS A CONCERN TO ME, YES!!! THIS IS NOT A CASE OF MOMS BOYFRIEND SHE JUST MET, I HAVE KNOWN TRISTAN FOR OVER 8 YEARS, HES BEEN AROUND MY 9 YEAR OLD FROM THE TIME SHE WAS 9 MONTHS OLD, HE HAS NEVER HURT ANY OF MY CHILDREN, NOT TO MENTION THE 10 MONTH OLD WE JUST HAD IN NOV. 2008 __ALL I WANT IS JUSTICE FOR MY BABY, WHOEVER DID IT, I WANT THEM TO BE PUNISHED, BUT I DEFENITELY HAVE MANY DOUBTS ABOUT THESE CHARGES, ESPECIALLY DUE TO ALL THE LEAKS, AND UNANSWERED QUESTIONS, AND THE FACT THE EPSO DIDN’T PURSUE THE OTHER PEOPLE IN THE HOME, LIKE THEY HAVE DONE TRISTAN. The frustrating thing about domestic violence issues is that, as with any crime, there needs to be a victim willing to testify in court. No victim, no crime. Mommy probably didn’t want to testify against shitbag, so therefore, no case. I know the books say that cops can arrest without someone wanting to press charges, but it never actually pans out. It sucks; and now this bitches irresponsibility and selfishness has resulted in a childs death. They both go to hell as far as I’m concerned.
You’re right about that Chili. It certainly fits mom’s pattern, being the stupid douche that she is. Why abused women protect their abusers is one mystery I’ll probably never understand, and I’m not sure it even applies to Tenessa. She’s still defending Tristan the baby killer even though he’s locked up with littler to no chance of ever getting out again.

As for why women stay when they are being abused…its hard to explain.
Usually if you are being abused by a partner, it is not the first time you have been abused.
My mother grew up with an animal of a man for a step father. She was beaten on a regular basis. Once she was shot at. When she was eight, he tied her up like a dog and made her eat off the floor. Her bedroom was a chook pen and she was told every day how disgusting and smelly and ugly she was, and that she was lucky he didnt kill her as she was so worthless.
Then she met my father. He was to her, a way out of the hell she endured every day.
WHen he started abusing her, she didnt mind it so much as it was not as bad as the abuse she suffered at the hands of her step father, and she was used to it anyway. She thought she was lucky that my father would “put up with her.”
They had myself and three other children. My father abused us all. When i left home, i met a man ( if you can call him a man) who was also abusive. It was all i thought i deserved.
Then i had children. I knew they deserved better even if i didnt, so i left.
You see, you get conditioned to the abuse. It becomes normal and your self esteem is so low that you think you are fortunate that someone ” loves you.”
No excuses though. She should have protected her child. And now her only concern should be making sure that man gets a long time in jail.

Amy-Thank you for telling us about your experience. I’m glad you were able to get yourself and kids away from the bastard that hurt you, and hope others can gain a little insight into abuse. I encourage anybody that is curious about domestic abuse or in an abusive relationship to look up the YWCA – they are great people that will help.
There are definately many services out there that help educate women about domestic violence. It important to break the cycle and get away, to learn to love yourself and expect more from your relationships. If you dont break the cycle…who will? Your children? Do them a favour and break it before they end up dead like Tamyrill.
I work in this field and I can say that we have mandatory arrest laws in our state and we SUCESSFULLY prosecute without victim cooperation all of the time. It can be done.
If law enforcement is doing it’s job and does a thorough investigation and report the DA’s should be able to successfully prosecute these crimes.

Police reports are public record, confused child. Court records, etc. are open to the public, you just have to know how to find them. The facts are there, that’s what we go off of. If they’re wrong, start by convincing the authorities… who are already, and correctly, convinced of Tristain’s guilt.

Maybe the police also analyzed the foot mark and determined that the injury was made by someone with Tristan’s shoe size.

Unfortunately, bite marks can not be definitively proven to belong to a specific individual when they are done to a human. Due to the characteristics of human flesh, you can only rule someone out. The science behind proving bitemarks is not like fingerprints or DNA, it is not reliable enough to convict.
I know, it sounds like I’m defending the POS. I’m not. Instead, when the bite marks were discovered and it was shown they came from someone inside that house, then the kids should have been out of the house and away from everyone.
