This is possibly why Patrick Jeffrey thought it would be a good idea to pose his twin 3-year-old daughters for over 20 sexually suggestive photographs while surrounded by Nazi memorabilia. With Nazi flags draped over them and authentic Nazi helmets on their heads, the little girls were posed in a wide variety of extremely disturbing poses.
Hey, I suppose if a guy’s driven to create, he’s gotta follow through with it.

Once Patrick finished the photo shoot, he took the film to the Woodward Camera store in Birmingham, Michigan to have the nice employees there develop it for him. The employees, who are obviously yahoos without an artistic bone in their bodies, called the police when they saw the child/Nazi porn.
A bit later, Patrick Jeffrey came back to the camera store to pick up his film and was arrested by waiting police officers.
Charged with the manufacture of child pornography, Patrick Jeffrey pled guilty in July of 2008 and was sentenced to 8 years in Federal prison. In addition to the jail time, Mr. Jeffrey has been ordered to pay for the little girls’ therapy.

People generally don’t remember events that occur before age 4. It’s called childhood amnesia. Patrick, I’m a mental health clinician, and childhood amnesia isn’t a theory, it’s a fact. The debate centers around the earliest ages of memory recollection. Research has shown that females can remember as far back as age 3.2, and males around 3.8. There are no memories retained from infancy. One of the reasons is because memory retention is associated with the development of language skills. This is not to say that abuse inflicted on children younger than 3 or 4 doesn’t affect the child. Of course it does–this is the period when their brains are developing, so even if specific memories of abuse cannot be recalled, there are life-long effects of the abuse.

Well i must be a freak of nature then, because my earliest memory is of my father slashing our couches in a fit of rage. I remember walking out of my bedroom and seeing my mum on the floor crying and dad with a knife hacking away at the couches and screaming.
I asked my mum about it a while ago and she was surprised that i remembered it. Apparently i would have been two and a half a the time. It was a pretty traumatic memory because i blocked it out for 25 years. And when i did remember it scared the shit out of me.
So yeah, they may block out what they cant deal with, but one day they may remember and when they do, it will be bloody traumatic.
