Mr. Wallace had a good point there, one that Wayne Forrester should have taken to heart. If Wayne had, I wouldn’t be writing this right now, and Wayne Forrester wouldn’t be spending the next 14 years of his life in prison.
On the 18th of February, 2008, Wayne Forrester drank a little booze and snorted a little cocaine shortly before 6 in the morning. Wayne’s pride was a bit hurt, and he needed to get it out of his system.
Emma Forrester, a 32-year-old payroll administrator who had just separated from her husband on Valentine’s Day, was tired of carrying Wayne through 15 years of marriage. Wayne Forrester was often out of work and each time he was fired, or laid off, Emma would take up two jobs to make ends meet.
Around Christmas of 2007, things got really bad between the two, and on Valentine’s Day, Wayne moved out to another residence 15 miles from the house that his wife lived in. He may have moved out, but Wayne Forrester couldn’t let Emma go. Pride was talking to him, whispering in his ear, telling him that he was something special when he most certainly was not.
Phone calls started to come in, from Wayne to Emma. They took a nasty turn, nasty enough that Emma’s father, Robert Rothery, decided to stay with her at her house a few times to look out for her – because that’s what dads do for their little girls.
On the 17th of February, 2008, Wayne Forrester called up his in-laws one more time. He told them that he was a bit upset that Emma Forrester had changed her Facebook status to “single.” That update had gone out as a notice to all her contacts and, in Wayne’s eyes, had made him look like a bit of a fool.
Later that night, Emma called her parents up and said that she was going to bolt the door and go to bed. It was the last her parents would hear from her.
After drinking that booze and snorting that coke, Wayne drove over to his wife’s house. He went into the house and grabbed a meat cleaver and a kitchen knife. Brandishing these fine implements that can be found in any well-stocked kitchen, Wayne Forrester went into his wife’s room and let his pride do the talking as he hacked and slashed Emma to pieces.
The household screaming was in stereo, because Emma’s 6-year-old daughter was also in the house, screaming while her mommy was being cut up by her daddy, screaming while she called emergency services to call for help, screaming while her father was ripping her mother out of her life forever.
The screaming was loud enough to wake the neighbors, who also called for the police.
Wayne Forrester kept up his grisly work, stabbing and hacking at his wife, taking chunks of flesh and hair off her head with each swipe.
Finally, after noticing the only movement from his wife was from the blood pouring out of her, Wayne decided that he felt better. His pride had been assuaged, and he was getting a little tired and thirsty. Dropping the knife on the bed and the cleaver in another room, Wayne Forrester wandered into the kitchen, grabbed a carton of juice and took a few swigs as he headed out the front door – just as the police arrived.
Holding out his blood-soaked hands to be handcuffed, Wayne said:
Who called you? My wife is in there. I killed her.
Inside Emma’s house, police found her body on the bed with several large wounds, including one nasty one on her neck. There were defense wounds on her arms and hands which showed that she had tried to block the strikes. Clumps of her hair were scattered around the room and down the hall.
In a statement to police after being arrested, Wayne Forrester again admitted that he killed his wife, as he said:
Emma and I had just split up. She forced me out. She then posted messages on an internet website telling everyone she had left me and was looking to meet other men. I loved Emma and felt totally devastated and humiliated about what she had done to me.
The judge made this statement as he sentenced Wayne to 14 years to life in prison:
Your wife ended the relationship. Your reaction was one of anger and resentment. There is no possible excuse or justification. This is a tragic killing of a young woman and what you have done has called untold anguish.
Emma’s parents lost their daughter to pride.

My thoughts exactly- 14 years only?????? Let’s see the woman gets a lifetime of death- figuratively a lifetime sentence, and he gets off w/ 14 years? Hopefully someone in prison kills him in a slow painful manner and gets off scot free. I hate divorce but this IS NOT grounds for killing someone.* I voted yes*
His daughter also gets a lifetime of memories of her mother being hacked to death. He should do three life sentences. One for the ex wife and one ech for the two children.

This is why we need a few MORE firearms out there. The police showed p just on time to be too late. If some of the neighbors had a gun, maybe he’d be dead, she’d be alive and we’d be reading about another Joe Horn type because every bleeding heart liberal would be saying that Waynne had come over just to p[atch things up or help her prepare a nice dinner (why else would he have a meat clever in hand??? People are all just basically good….)
This POS had many points where he could have backed down, or he could have gotten someone new. Because there is no mention of kids I am going to assume that it could have been a clean break. She looks kind of hot, so I am going to assume that he was not.
As I have been dumped a few times (I usually hang on way too long), sometimes the best revenge is to go on with life. My X left me and I know from time to time it burns her up to see that I am happy without her. We have a daughter and my daughter wants to live with my wife and I because we are content togther because I have moved on to the point where most of the expensive stuff in my daughter’s room at her mother’s house I paid for!!!! Because I care more for my daughter than hate her mother, love is winning out……
I had a fiance that used to yo-yo me and one day she said “breakup” and I was running a 103 degree temp – I said “OK” and went out with my friend – I told him not to let me near a phone and within a few hours I was over her and done with her shit.
This guy should have just gone out and got himself a crack whore…
Why the hell is it that every time a crime occurrs, somebody is always coming out to push their political agenda and attacking “bleeding heart liberals” for taking guns away? He was hacking her savagely and repeatedly with knives. Even if the neighbors had guns and got to the scene on time and were able to kill him, she might not have survived. This is a terrible tragedy, but I am not sure what I hate more: this POS for having committed the crime, or people like you who have a pro-gun bias and upon seeing the occurrence of a tragic crime, immediately have a knee-jerk reaction like, “This wouldn’t have happened if there were more guns around!” and using it to attack people of different political persuasion.

As dumb as this is going to sound, it would be better if the “next story” was about an over due library book, but unfortuantely this isn’t Mayberry and such a story would only be avoiding reality.

I don’t understand how a person (Sloth) kills a loved one and only get 14 years in prison, this woman could have easily lived another 60 years, is the new math? I read about people selling pot that get more time, WTF is up??
If I was this girl’s father, I would wait the 14 years; well with good behavior it will probably be 2 years. Let the scumbag get out of prison and get settled and then some night pay a visit, knock him out and take him out to a secluded spot, wake him up torture, kill and burry him.

Its a shame most of the news articles failed to mention a little girl shouting for Help and that Emma was the mother of 2 children and that at least one of them ( a six-year-old girl ) was in the house and had to witness her mother being brutally attacked with a knife and meat cleaver by her own father. Chances are pretty good that Emma was not only fighting for her own life but that of her helpless children.

OK – adds a new spin, BUT even if Emma was a “money making mom” – killing her like that infront of the children does not help his case. I’d love to have my daughter’s mother gone, but
1. Would my daughter love me for doing such?
2. Who’d take my daughter? While I do not like her mother, there is a few other people who may be in line, so I’ll bide my time until my daughter is old enough, then I’ll do the worst thing I can do – NOTHING!
I am sure that my daughter’s mother will miss that child support check; I’ll be treating a few people to a nice meal out that weekend!

Good point. Come to think of it, where were the kids to help? I dunno if they deserve hell but they certainly are partially responsible for their mother’s death if they did nothing to stop it.

Noyuo – while I see your point, the simple fact is a child may know what to do, but when the time comes instinct does inhibits their ability to do the correct thing.
If every child knew what to do if the house caught fire, got broken into, etc… we would not need baby sitters.
The fact that both people this child depended on were involved in something so grizzly confused the child. Maybe a 9 to 12 year old would have run to the neighbors, BUT a 6 year old may also have been scared to go out into the night.

After reading different news accounts of the story I think the events were closer to this.
Asshat dad gets nice and juiced up on booze and cocaine. He reaches the boiling point and grabs the biggest and sharpest things he can find at his sisters house ( Meat Cleaver and kitchen knife ). Drives over to his house , kicks in the front door at 6.30am. While he is recovering from the assault on the front door, Emma hears the noise , wakes up starts screaming for help and runs to the kids room. Forrester finds Emma , grabs her by the hail pulls her out into the hall and a struggle happens at the top of the stairs (Cops found two broken banisters and long clumps of hair outside the bedroom) . Six-year-old girl calls 999 for help, they hear Emma’s screams in the background. Forrester drags Emma to her room and starts his chopping and stabbing .
Not trying to be knit picky , only trying establish the facts of the crime better. News reporters often just report unchecked info off the wire.
“Forrester drove to Croydon armed with the knife and meat cleaver.”
” In a final phone call to her sister that night, Emma said she was going to bed and was going to bolt the front door.
But at 6.30am the next morning a neighbor was woken by the sound of a crashing noise as the front door was forced in by Forrester. Miss Lewis said: “He then heard somebody screaming for help so he phoned 999. “He heard a woman’s voice crying out. Then the noises stopped.”
( Though Emma was found dead in her bed , She was not killed in her sleep but fighting for her life and something loud enough to wake the neighbors , certainly was loud enough to wake a mother with children in the house and a husband who is making death threats.)
“Judge says : It is clear she suffered a brutal and sustained attack.”
“The six year-old girl also dialed 999 and the emergency operator could hear the victim’s screams in the background.”
( I don’t think many 6 year olds are capable of calling the police for help , while their mother is being murdered. Her story should be told as well. It certainly makes Forrester more Hell worthy to me. )

I am in the process of getting a firearms permit, my house has been broken into a number of times, fortuantely I have not been home at the time.
But now that we have safes in the home, I fear that someone may want to come back at a time we can open the safes…..
My rule will be – take anything from the lower levels of the house and leave without doing any harm to us (like setting a fire) BUT put one foot on the stairs and I intend to kill you. At that point only God will save you.
That’s if I am allowed to have a shot gun, else I have a sword which I will sharpen.

See here in Australia you have to have a gun licence. This involves a letter from two different farmers to say you can shoot on their property. You need to have a gun safe installed and secured to three walls ( in a corner) and the police have to inspect this before they will issue a licence.
And if you want a hand gun, you have to do all of the above AND be a member of a pistol club.
If someone enters my house and i shoot them and they die, i am up on manslaughter charges and looking at jail time. If i shoot them and they live i am am up on charges of grevious bodily harm.
I can say in all honesty that even if i was looking at jail time i would still shoot to kill if the lives of my loved ones were in danger.
But it sucks that i cant protect them without such serious repercussions.
The heading of that article says that he will be behind bars for life but the rest of the article says he wills erve a minmum of 14 years how does 14 years turn to life i dont get it
Usually they have to serve a minimum of 14 years in jail, then they can go up for a parol hearing after that. Some have a hearing every year, some are every other year, etc. So if he is a really good boy, he could be out in 14.
Its the same here in Australia. You only have to serve two thirds of your sentence if you behave yourself in prison. Once you have done that time you can go up for parole which i think the review every two years.
So we’ve got 5 mouth cunts that think good old Ferretfucker doesn’t deserve hell… Hmmm… Like to see what they do think deserves hell…

As sickened as I am by the way this turned out, and for whatever it’s worth, I admire Emma for throwing this POS out. I can’t help but wonder how many years of abuse she had to endure before her murder.

I think that is what makes this so sad. She had done the right thing. Made the break from an abusive relationship and was making a new life for herself and her children.

i would’ve liked a higher sentence as well, but truth be said, here in Holland he wouldn’t even get half that sentence, as they’d most likely brand it a “crime passionelle”, puttin him in the looney bin for a year or two.

While there are those out there that say that forgiveness is a virtue and that we dont have a right to judge others, there are also a lot of people like you and i who want dirtbag POS like Wayne off the streets permenantly.
Part of the problem is those who read only the part of the Bible they want to read.
THe famous story of how Jesus stopped a crowd from stoning a woman to death. The story at most churches ends with the woman seeing all her acusers gone and Jesus forgiving her. The real end of the story, Jesus tells her to go “and sin no more” Of coarse she will sin again, but the point is tha Jesus expects this woman not to do the same thing again, to make an effort not to do such again.
Sin can only be forgiven to the repentant heart, for those who do not want to repent there is hell.
This POS had sinned many times, this crime is not an isolated incident, but rather the culmination of many other incidents where he showed himself non-repentant.
The fact that the woman had her father stay over many times before indicates that there was a pattern of violence and that this POS intended to maintain if not escalate……
If God wants to forgive this man that’s God’s choice, but here in Earth this POS deserves punishment – it’s just that simple.

Oh yes I was angry! And now, I’m dating a wonderful woman, finishing a master degree, and planning to live back with my children. Thanks God, I didn’t let my pride acted out with destruction. Please guys, when things really messing up and everything seems to explode, just take care of yourself, just take booze to have fun with your good old pals, and think about what you really want in your life; Then, drive yourself in this direction! There are definaltely better ways to deal with anger. If hitting the piss with your mates and bitching about what a slut your ex is…then more power to you. If getting on the phone to Lifeline or some other help line is what works…great!

While the murder in itself was a terrible act, what upsets me about it is that he did it in front of his child. He had no thought as to how it would effect her. He is a selfish man who has no right to call himself a father.
