Lots of things that aren't in Christianity's scriptures still play a huge part in how it's preached and practiced. Honor killings are part of a culture based on Islam. That culture may not accurately reflect what the book says, but we're not the ones who need to hear that. The assholes butchering their sisters are the ones who need to hear that. And until they do, Islam will keep getting a bum rap. It doesn't matter whether it's fair or not. It doesn’t matter whether it’s in the Qur’an. The rape charges were an exaggerated and deliberate misinterpretation of information obtained from covert recordings which were far from clear. and indeed the police did not believe that a rape took place at all. it was the media parasites and various women’s rights organizations that hyped up the allegations in order to win support for the misguided cause and make a bit of money in the process. and the father and uncle were not directly involved in the murder and were only sentenced because they were according to the police aware of it occurring and did not inform the police. so u people need to be wise enough to think for yourselves and not to allow the media to think for u.
